This is SO interesting! My chiro does something similar to this, but I have never understood it!

Hope that you're getting some relief! Chiropractic care is a great conservative care option for many straight forward spinal complaints. Best of luck!

Thank you for posting - very interesting. I am going to my local chiropractor in a couple of weeks and it can't come sooner. I have had pain/tightness in the neck for about a month now, almost certainly due to my awful posture. Might I ask - do patients with this issue also commonly experience tension headaches? My eyebrow is also quite painful when I press it lightly. I have never had this before so naturally quite concerned it could be something more.

Yes, it's common to have tension type headaches with neck pain, in fact that's usually one of the big structural/postural causes. Best of luck and hope you get some relief soon!

Hi, great video! Would you consider doing a video explaining the recommended positioning of the neck during bench pressing? I have noticed that I get a tight neck after barbell and dumbell bench pressing. I have been reading articles online, but a lot of the information out there is contradicting. Thank you!

Great suggestion! Without seeing you bench pressing, I'd guess that you're really protruding your chin/head during the lift. This really strains the neck muscles. I'd typically recommend doing a chin retraction during a bench and then working on chin retractions for a few weeks to strengthen the anterior neck muscles and help improve axial core muscle coordination and strength.

Nice video can tightness of the trap be caused by driving alot because my job requires me to drive alot also tension aswell I see a chiropractor one time per week

Repetitive activities, like driving, can cause trapezius pain and neck pain. I always make sure my patients are doing exercises to correct the root of the problem as well. Best of luck, hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry there isn't a post-treatment video, although I recall the patient did respond well to treatment overall.

Glad to hear they responded! Was there a video of the postural exercises mentioned at the end of the video?

You can take IASTM course through Graston Technique or other continuing education providers. Manipulation courses are also offered for PTs as far as I know, but the scope of practice is obviously different from location to location on whether it's something a PT can use in treatment.

You're not the first to say that haha. I guess I never really noticed as I was focused on making a helpful video. Duly noted though :)

It boggles my mind tht chiropractors are allowed to spew a bunch of foolishness on video and nobody wants to say anything?

I can't focus on what your doing for that man chomping on whatever he has in his mouth. Not only is it unprofessional that he is appearing in your video eating its really off putting and does make me wonder about the authentication of the channel.
