This video is gold! Such great tips.. ive really been practicing and trying to break the habit of going across shot line.. i love the idea of thinking with the chalk and once you put it down go into subconscious mode!! And the last part with either hitting a little harder or softer depending on shot is such good advise.. hearing you say that reminds me of how often my run out gets messed up by coming a TAD to short or long when if i just thought about that as part of my thinking during pre shot routine this would help immensely!!!! Thanks again and videos are coming out better and better!

It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of your videos. I have missed your clear instruction and how you continually reinforce the key points. Once COVID is not a threat, I’m coming your way for a couple of days instruction.
I really appreciate this video! This is actually the first time I heard about going "into the line/angle of the position zone" instead of going "into the line/angle of the shot". It makes perfect sense and I will be attempting to incorporate this concept into my game! On timestamp 8:05 of this video, can you please explain why on certain shots you would rather "float" into the next shot instead of going into the angle of the position zone? Thanks a lot!
In that instance, it's very simple to float down there. How comfortable a person is with certain shots goes a long way. In that instance, I was floating into the wedge of the "position zone" not into the angle of the object ball. A lot of it has to do with the angle you have. Thanks for watching. If I can ever help you with any personalized instruction let me know. Tomorrow is the last day of my March online course special. Be glad to give you a free phone consultation. Excellent video! Really nice production quality! Quick question: when you think about the shape of the triangles on either side of the cue ball, what determines the edges of the triangle? For example, would using the half ball hit line on the outside be reasonable? What about the inside? Seems like both might depend on how much you need the ball to travel (or not travel) on the next shot. But is there a good range to use as a starting point? Like between the 3/4 to 1/4 hit lines or something like that?
The position of your next shot determines that. Also sometimes other balls get in the way and make the triangle smaller. It varies quite a bit from shot to shot depending on the circumstances. Thanks for watching the video. Glad you found it to be helpful. If I can ever help you with any personalized instruction let me know. I'm currently offering a March special on my online course. Several reasons: 1. A more compact square is easier to place with ball congestion. 2. My book originally specified a 10x10 square. The template goes with my book. 3. You can use the corner of the square to represent the wedge of the triangle.
Thinking when you are shooting is a monster in your head that will get you in the long run because I miss a almost straight in shot in a big pool tournament yesterday to move on to the top 8 out of 75 players and I run out the whole table because of this I was thinking of quitting pool altogether until I saw this video
