I am from Germany and spent 10 months at UNL for a my thesis in 2011/2012. It was a great experience and the people I met are very dear to me. Thanks Lincoln for that experience! :)
Lived here when I was 14 spent 4yrs there.. miss the snow.. miss a lot of things actually.. I went to park middle school and Lincoln highschool.. lived down the street from my highschool.. it was nice
I miss when my husband would go to Lincoln for work, he would always feel so good and energized when he was there. He had so many restaurants and beautiful places to see all within walking distance of his hotel room. I even drove to go see him TWICE and that’s a 6 hour drive from where we are from. Worth it, I hope we can move here this year or next year. Beautiful city, reminds me of Sioux Falls, SD where I lived for years but better and nicer people.
I was part of the crew who blew up the pound halls and i didn't get to go out much since we were working all the time but it's real nice really green the people there are really nice
I been to Nebraska cornhuskers campus before I did special Olympics nationals games there in 2010 I got second place I got bronze medals I love cornhuskers way better then iowa hawkeyes

I got a chance to talk some people from Lincoln, and they basically did not so say anything encouraging about Lincoln. Something about wheel taxes and too many pots and holes on the road. Also, something about the city being obsessed with round about or loops on the roads? lol sorry I don't remember what he said exactly. And that I am crazy to move from the sunshine state to here. Other than that go Big Red :-\.
There is a salt basin here. Most of Lincoln Nebraska is build on it. Several tribes of Native America Indians used it. Part of the Old Persian Highway. The Petsia Empire had a Pyramid build at the local of 9th and o street before this nation was ever founded. Pyramids have been found all across the United States. Buildings with stones called center stones are exactly blocks from the Pyramid that stood there

I work with several people from California who were knocking Nebraska when they first got here.. 6 months later they said you couldn't pay them to go back to California. Life here isn't everyone's cup of tea but that's ok.. we don't want everyone here, but we don't go around talking about how much other places suck.. that's part of what makes this place great.
