I just wanna let you know sir that you've changed my life. You are an inspiration to me. Coming from a Muslim family, it was really hard for me being an only-Christian living in one compound. Friends left me, families disregarded me, fellow Islam judged and hated me. I mean the judgements and all was very painful. I felt hopeless but I know Jesus will never forsaken me. And he introduced me to your music. Your music helped me to get through it all and now half of my family watches me every time I sing gospel songs in front of people. I listen to your music everyday sir. You, the Gaithers, Heritage Singers and other artist. You guys helped me fight my battle while believing God is right by my side. THANK YOU SO MUCH and Godbless!

It must have been so hard for you and probably still is. When I discovered David, I was in a state of depression. The Lord led me to my computer and music. That is when I found David and his singing just lifted me up and I searched for every song he sang. Music soothes the soul and helps us to get through tough times. David sings in a way that touches your heart. God bless you and stay strong no matter what.
Don’t ever cave in to family, friends or so called friends! The Almighty will never ever leave you or forsake you! He never has & never will . He’s never lied or sinned once ever, he can’t! I had never heard of David, until a friend of mine asked me to listen to End of the Beginning. I had drifted away from the church, but yes, I did believe in Jesus. When I heard him sing that song and it brought me back to the church. I wanted to see him in concert so bad, and I found out that he was coming to North Carolina. I asked my friend if she wanted to go, so I got us tickets. I had NEVER been to a concert like this, only been to rock concerts since the 60's, so this was all new to me. I was like wow, this is great, and he has the most amazing voice. I enjoyed his concert so much, that we got tickets to go see him again in NC, and again, I was so amazed. He is amazing in concert, and I love to listen to him sing. This is an amazing interview. I listen to him sing, and I feel so close to Jesus. His music helps me through some rough days. Thank you, David, you are amazing. Thank you for your beautiful music. Thank you for giving me hope when I am lost and I need help.
David, you gave that same advice to Logan when he was 12 years old and sang "One Wintry Night" for you at the meet and greet before your CHRISTmas concert, you told him, "that's great, sing everywhere you can", he calls that night the best night of his life, singing for his favorite singer, and you giving him the same advice that you were given. He tells everyone that you told him "to sing everywhere you can", and he does! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

David is the best singer I've ever heard. I found him on my computer singing o Holy Night and went from there to watching every song he sang, daily. My mother became a huge fan and on her death bed, we played No More Night for her as she passed. Her favorite song. Then...God Blessed me with getting to actually meet him and work for him. Hes an amazing human being. God definitely opened a door for me . I cherish the pictures taken of me with him discussing things, just standing and talking to him. Then...he sang on stage. Nothing but goosebumps. And he made me feel comfortable and not star struck. Lol I do love David . God has given him a wonderful gift.
Hands down the best album released in 2021. Something that pops out in David’s singing is that you just can’t ignore the lyrics. As a music nerd, often times i only think about the melody, harmony or the bassline, without paying much attention to the lyrics. With David, it’s the opposite, i can only think of what he’s singing, and knowing that he always means everything he sings is just so overwhelming and amazing. One of the best singers in the world, gosh this is amazing.
David please keep my coworkers and students in your prayers. I can't say why.
There are those of us out here who do appreciate David’s talent, and his willingness to explore new musical adventures / styles.
It is called “artistic growth”, and I am not going to let a genius artist be confined to what other people think he should be doing with his life.
When he said 'sing everywhere you can' I got goosebumps! SO Thanking God for him!

I believe this to be so true! When we all get to Heaven maybe God will tell us the exact number of souls reached for the Kingdom thru David Phelps. I believe the number to be countless. I pray God himself appoints David as worship leader of Heaven’s Choir. 🙏
I was so very touched by his worship event held in Coleman Park in Lebanon PA in July 2021. He was so genuine and his daughters were there singing with him! One of them sang a song for us (solo). The band members (who probably never get enough credit) did a fantastic job as well. Since it was an outdoor event, the acoustics may not have been as nice as an indoor venue, but I doubt anyone cared. It sounded good to me! Something that was humorous about it was that some people down front got up to leave and David said Oh, you're leaving? Then he said what they answered was that it was past their bedtime. He blessed them as they left. But he didn't do this in a snotty way as in: How dare you walk out on me? But rather, more like he was disappointed that they had to go, like when a friend is leaving your house. It was just a "moment", ya know? We were all blessed and we were invited to join him in some songs. There was an older man behind me and my family who I believe was Mennonite and he sang along with just about every song...not loudly...I couldn't even hear his voice, but I saw him. So sweet. Then, when we all wanted an "encore", a woman near me called out, "No More Night". We were on the back hill & there's no way he heard her, but that's what he sang when they returned. It was a beautiful night of worship.
David, I hope you know how you have helped me in my life with your singing. My husband had a stroke a little over 2 years ago and when he was in the hospital they found cancer in his lung and COPD. He is in remission now but can't be left alone because of the stroke. I have never lost faith or blamed God. God has blessed me so many times more than I deserve. I found you on the internet singing with the Gaither group and I loved your singing and have been following your singing at a time I felt very low. I really think God put me in your path to lift my spirits. Then I found out you were doing this on your own and I listen to your songs whenever I can. The meaning of your songs brings such joy and reminds us to look back at our lives and how much joy they gave us. I don't know if I am saying this all correctly but I just wanted you to know what you have done for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
You are certainly a Gamechanger, David! God has anointed you with an amazing voice that you have used to bring Glory to God! May God continue to bless you wherever you go! You are a talent rarely seen in this world and all your hard work and persistence has absolutely paid off! You amaze me everytime I listen to you with your amazing voice!

Oh God how much he loves his family. His kids are blessed with a wonderful dad... I'm not having a good dad like him. But whenever I listen to his voice it just change my mood and I'm start worshipping my Saviour

Your rendition of O Holy Night is the best I’ve ever heard and I tell everyone I come across to listen to that song! I’m a music director at my Baptist Church and have heard many great vocalists, but you sir are the best I’ve ever heard! Bar None!!

I first discovered David from
a performance at The Alabama Theater in Birmingham Alabama where I live of O Holy Night. ( search for it on here) I don’t think I’ve ever heard a better version. To this day it still moves me to tears . His voice is definitely a gift from God.

David….I discovered you so late….I’m a great grandmother! But what I have missed in time , I have made up in intensity. Your music has brought the life or “ZOIE” ,as the original Bible word calls it, of my faith life in new pathways to me. This zoie in sound.. in notes and rhythms, goosebump highs and tearful lows, harmonies that hurt then resolve, peaks of pitch and rests of silence…it’s all there…in Him. To paraphrase a gifted man….I thought I knew what life lived with Jesus was….but it was so much more.Thanks you for sharing your gift with me.

Y’all were DEFINITELY not “weird”, because you sang together as a family in your car…… you were BLESSED! My parents were pastors who retired after 50 years of full-time ministry, and that’s how my three siblings and I grew up. Anytime we went on a road trip, ultimately at some point we would break out in song! We all had our parts, harmonizing together, and those amazing moments turned out to be a sort of informal practice time for us as well, because we also sang a lot of those songs as a family, for our church family. My favorite was “The King is Coming”! My dad bought an eight-track player, and we pretty much had Gaither music playing in our home, 24/7. And those are some of the most cherished memories, that I’ll carry in my heart, until Our Savior, takes me home!!
I thank God everyday for having found you and your music because its beautiful to see and experience God's love through beautiful songs and a voice such as yours!

Keep looking for God to answer your bucket list. Four years ago I had put 2 things on my bucket list - see David Phelps live and go to the Cove in Asheville, N.C. The very next year I got a chance to go to the Cove and David Phelps was doing an evening concert there. Talk about blessings! So it can happen for you.

Your background seems a lot like mine. My mom and dad were both Christians and there were seven of us children. We went for rides in the car and sang like you did, with everyone doing Harmony. My dad had a beautiful tenor voice, and sounded like Mario Lanza. My sister's and I played the piano and organ and my brothers played the guitar. We sang in churches. And we had every Monday night prayer meeting at our home. Anyway David, you are the best in my opinion. You have such talent and such a sweet spirit. And I just love you!
I too am a Mario Lanza fan. And I regard David as the greatest living singer today. Like Mario, he can sing any genre,top notch.

I love this song. A Song For Sinners. I think I have done so many wrong things that God can never forgive me. Then I think all I have to do is repent and open my heart and lay it all out. I have done that and I can feel His love for me. I don’t deserve to be His child but by the cross I can . You can do that too. Praise God for His Mercy and Grace.
