I am sending this song to my daughter’s friend who is struggling with crack cocaine . Despite he is a defense lawyer , he has been battling with demon 20 years . Two months ago he was baptized at my church with my daughter and confessed that Jesus Christ is his Lord . Whoever read this comments please pray for his soul to be saved .

I was going to say that this is one of my favorite of David's songs, but how can anyone single out any particular song. Whatever need you have on any given day there is a David Phelp's song to meet it. God has blessed all of us by bringing David into our lives. I am going to my first Barn Bash in November and I just can't wait!

I have said for 20 years he is the best tenor on the planet. But I totally agree. He has grown into the all around best vocalist as well. God has touched this mans vocal chords, and in turn, he has returned this talent back to his Lord 10 fold

I was a senior in high school when my band director asked me to come in the sound room and told me he wanted to play a song for me. I remember he took his bad off and told me he was doing this as my friend rather than teacher because it was a public school, and they could fire him. He played the song, “Someone Who Cares”. After that I found out that I was being confronted with my anorexia and self harm, and my parents would be informed. That teacher was like a dad to me when I was in the darkest place. I would spent many years in and out of hospitals before finding recovery. I would listen to the song he played, but also, “ Just as I am” on repeat. I was so alone, and so scared. I survived a suicide attempt, and realized that God had never left me, I was still surrounded by his love and grace. Now, I’m a single mom to a little boy with autism and I have two diseases destroying my body. But, I’ve still held onto my faith during all of this. Your music is given me hope since I was 17 and I thank you for that.
I realize the voice does not define the vocalist but his character. David is truly the best vocalist and his character stands behind his character. It's not how he started but how he finished... a man of God until the end... His voice of gift of God to bring us all into the Lords throne room presence.

I was listening to this & my son said mom Aunt Tammi died ( not really their aunt but my best friend in the world my 3sons grew up with her). About a year ago she moved back from California and wanted to come see me, I was going through some stuff and was really depressed so I made my oldest tell her no! Now she’s gone to Heaven and I can’t apologize I thought what kind of Christian am I how could God love me and then this song popped in my head Just as I am and his love for me!!! Thank you David for putting this song out today I needed it!!
Thank you for posting your inner turmoil with aunt Tammi . We all wish we could have done differently in the past but we could never return the clock . Amazing thing is that it took me four years to forgive myself for not made my mother feel comfortable around me . The things between my siblings were very nasty and I wasn’t speaking terms with my siblings when my mother passed away.
When I realize how much I hurt my mother , it was too late cause she wasn’t in this universe.
Remorse, regret, guilt, sadness, frustration were more than I could bear and through Scriptures I knew even those sins were forgiven on the cross .
when I was hold on to the regrets , I was actually thinking that God’s Word is not enough.
