would you prefer this version?
We’ve been playing the same exact barebones game with no variance in global for 2 years. Anything new is a total upgrade and the people developing this seem to actually want to make make use of the potential the game has. Unlike the shmooks at global. Every season is the same nothing of value changes. Emblems are worthless, items never change, battle items never change, maps never change. All they do is add new mons (which the rate has slowed 20x over) and weak ass patches and call it a day. All you do is play ranked because that is all you *can* do, standards are bots, quick matches are lame (the only good one is boss rush and fury is amusing in short bursts), so the only mode with any value is ranked and the rewards there are garbage too. I could go on and on, like what does the global team even do? And I didn’t even talk about matchmaking.
CN version has actual mechanic changes, level shifts, actually experimenting with new modes and layouts, builds, move upgrades that lead to even more unique gameplay styles, more items, lobby, amusing casual game modes and appeal, and that’s off the top of my head. Who knows if everything they add will be good, but unlike global they are willing to change and experiment from what I’ve seen and that’s good enough for me.

@@YPlayzYT 100% ground build jus needs a big ass rework. Sucks cuz chomp is my fav n wanna play somethin other than dragon build. Def have had some fun w the ground build tho😂
this feels like an entirely different game i feel like if they were to integrate it into the normal version of unite they would have to have it as a complete seperate gamemode or quick battle if they got rid of the one that alr exists many would be extremely mad.
even if they did add this version, they wouldn’t make it permanent to play like full fury and other game modes
the china version basically endorsing back capping which is a huge downgrade imo, cuz we would be incentivizing trolls a lot more, tho the mon reworks could be fun if implimented

Current Unite mode can become the new quickplay, this version of Unite seems far superior to current Unite. No reason to play Unite currently as it is, but many people I know want to play this Chinese version. Maybe will use VPN
This mode looks horrible. I wouldn't play it.
I prefer global version for multiple reasons:
- cn version doesnt have early, mid, and late game mons. Some prefer playing early game like sylv. Others prefer playing late like tyranitar. Good team comps are usually a balance of both. This leaves less strategy in draft and options based on playstyle. Ofc this doesnt excuse timi from not balancing some mons like eevelutions and prenerf tyranitar raid god.
- similarly the game is too fast paced. Non stop fighting. Global has highs and lows which make it a brawl game but ewually a mind game. Early game is for levelling up, winning lanes. Mid game is for rotating to objectives and finding opportunity to get to a lead. Late game is about protecting your lead or turning the tides eg with ray. In cn it looks like just fighting:
- cn version is too brawly. Its mostly burst and dive with occasional ambush and last hitting. Theres less importance of other moba concepts like poke, kite, backcap, score comp, roam, vision (like with sableye), etc. it leaves less strategy and just tactics.
Among others. But these three are top of mind. To each their own i guess

This is one of the pitfalls heroes of the storm fell into...that is not the game to follow-they need to be looking at League of legends for inspiration. The difference in leveling is what makes hype moments..this would be bad for the game.

@@DrangusKahn Unite currently gives a global 20% exp buff if the enemy team is 1 level behind, and 30% exp buff if the enemy team is 2 levels behind. Pokemon Unite's comeback mechanics are nonsense and not good for competitive/lasting play. As players improve in skill they like Unite less and less because it doesn't reward good play or kills nearly as much as LoL. There's no gold to be gained from killing enemy players in Unite, the death timers are very short early game, and the Red/Blue buffs give more Exp than killing another player. Unite's base mechanics are nonsense. At the very least, this Chinese version of Unite makes it so an entire match doesn't revolve around last hitting the big green snake last a single time. There are many chances to push/score to get towards 500 pts.

While probably not perfect, this version looks much more fun and active than the current game which sometimes feels really counterintuitive with things like breaking goals and scoring
What's the point of even evolving in this mode then? You literally are fully evolved by 2 mins. Just make them fully evolved at the beginning of the game
I feel like the old version of exp rates/levelling up is better but I’d much prefer First to 500 rather than waiting for Ray/Zap to see if you actually win the game or not.
True you won’t always win just cuz u got ray (sincerely someone that steals it and still loses cuz i can’t score and my whole team dies lol)
I'm also not a fan of the coinflip mechanics of the current version. Though the more I think about it, the harder it would be to get used to that new win condition.
first to 500 would dumb down the game quite a lot. It would just be scoreplay comps and a ramp up on backcapping.
@@kiIIakababs_ That would likely be the case in solo q but hopefully they set up some barriers to make that harder.
Now it looks closer to a normal MOBA game(Not that it's a bad thing). A timer that's counting up instead of down and a clearer end goal of 500 points.

Like I think this version looks fun? But it looks a bit too chaotic somehow. I wouldn't mind the change in game structure, to make the objective first-to-500, but I like the pace of our existing game quite a lot. Maybe that's just me
I would prefer having both. Other mobas have more than 1 perm game mode.
Thing is, could this be another one in ranked like draft. Or will this just be a gamemode. Thats if we even get this sort of mode in global unite.

This looks like Quick Match stretched into a 15 min game. Also, let's not forget this is what a coordinated pro team is supposed to look like. I don't think people will understand how to play the game with random people if it were to come to the global game.
Gobal version will stay same they will focus on china exclusively for a long time and milk global version till it makes profit and end it
It's a lot faster and busier than current, maybe too much. I like the slower pace of evolving but if able to get full moveset so early, is there a point to the evolution stages? Might be too many objectives on the field at the same time but i like the individual buffs the regis give.
zapdos feels too tanky but the rotoms give great options so theres some strategy to be had, it did feel a bit sloggy after the second zap
Not a fan, tbh, but having early middle objectives (like that Dreadnaw) and ending the game after a certain amount scored are good changes.
If they do add it it'll probably just be another game mode. Nothing to complain about.

They should make it as a second ranked ladder, replacing the current completely would be bad for the playerbase, esp the bad players xD, like draft did
I like this point system more than the normal one we got, 10 minute max is kinda boring. Rollout skill change for wigglytuff is 🔥🔥, wish they changed garchomp dig like that as well or like talonflame fly. Other than that, global is beter imo

Looks like bottom goals are 80 and top goals are 60. That's interesting. I would for sure try this one out.

The only two things i don't like is the non existence of pre evolutions and the amount of rotoms spawning every few seconds other than that this looks much better than what we have and as you said feel more like a MOBA
The amount of pressure in this seems to punish uncoordinated teams more, so you can end a match before ten minutes too.

Very chaotic . And most of our teammates come with only 2 brain cells. Thats too much
Starting at 4:15 mark if you look closely Rotom didn't add any points to the goal zone
And Top goal zone was 60 HP and Bottom was 80 HP, at least in the 1st tier
This would be pretty cool as an alternative Ranked or Casual Match. I would definitely play it!

I just realized the pineoswine got earthquake early stage before ice fang or icicle crash. It just tells me its true that certain moves can be locked in before others and the possibility of a upgrade system on the actual moves.

@@iliketurtles9719 yeah but they don't usually have evolution like Pokémon do. Why add two and three stage Pokémon with different abilities and stats if you only going to play last stage for 90% of the match

And many I would adore the Wigglytuff. My by far most played Mon and these would be great buffs to it's toolkit 😍

This feels like an entire revolution in pu. Also as u said stalement should be there, if not many matches can/will last longer than more than 20 mins as teams would be busy fighting instead of scoring. With the unite moves cooldown shortened I can see many active fights happening all over the boss spawns every minute if they don't lengthen the respawn time of players
This could work as a addition to ranked draft where everybody votes to play this or the how the game is currently
The moves is so fast, it felt like there's no delay. Look at Mamo's EQ, it's beautiful.

This game feels so alive, so much is happening!
Is expect alot of frustration in the lower ranks because people wont know and wont work together to end the game, resulting in games lasting for 20 minutes or so. Also it will change the whole game balance. I suspect Garchomp will be good because now there are so many more objectives, Garchomp can rip through them and create alot of pressure

This looks like it has some cool stuff, but this is waaaay different. I like laying and ganks and needing to evolve and stuff. This is to..idk easy? Simple? Idk theres def exciting stuff in here though.

If we look at Charizard in this version, instead of just basic attacking after unite, moves can actually be actually used in exchange for getting CC’d. Does anyone think it’s a nice buff? I feel like it could change his unite move play style. I don’t know whether it’s for better or for worse.
It looked really fun until the end, where it started to drag on. I think Zapdos should be as easy as before, but just have to walk in. Or be as tanky as it is now but not have to walk in. It doesn't seem like it really ends games

casual player: I’m just gona farm all game.
I’d rather have “first to 500” or instead of Ray/Zap.
However, one thing that I like about Unite over other MOBAs is that each game is only 10 minutes. It’s not fun when a match lasts too long (the reason why LoL bored me, bc 40+ min matches are not fun anymore).
If the devs implement this as a new game mode that’s open at all times (Ranked Score mode vs Ranked Normal mode), then I think this would definitely attract more players and be more appealing to those who prefer a more traditional MOBA set up.
The damage numbers are going to be insane

Everyone gets eject button for free. It uses the Score button so you can’t eject while on an enemy goal.
I want to see the changes in Lapras and Azumarill so badly.
I like the idea of minimizing the need to spend half the game levelling up. There should be some sort of progression and scaling, but too much of the game is spent rotating around maximizing XP gains to avoid getting snowballed. That said, there may be *too many* objectives here. It leaves very little room or incentive for organic team plays.
There seems to be little breathing room for strategy.
1. Slow down the evolutions.
2. Cap the maximum game time at 15 minutes.
2. Zapdos respawn timer should be 1 minute after it dies in center.
3. Should be some neutrals that give permanent stats or carry-specific buffs to the one that takes them down. They should be deeper into each team's territory.
This version feels like it has very few ways to offset draft diff or find innovative styles of play. They're just teamfighting over everything forever.
Basic things like K/D tracking and KO streaks when Timi???
Incentivize good play Timi, it starts with the basics, then people might play AND stay.
I would love this new version, there's so much less waiting around.
It looks fun but I think the evos are happening too fast and also it looks impossible to make a comeback if you are losing but that may be just the purple team being way better than orange.

Ehh, not a fan of the INSANE exp increase. If we're hitting final evos 1 minute into a 10-15+ min match, then why even bother having the pre-evos or move progression in the first place? It just doesn't matter.
Also I think a Zapdos every 15 seconds is ridiculous. This just looks like a quickplay match on cocaine. I think this has elements our
version sorely needs, but on China's version the pendulum swung entirely too far in the other direction.

With early evolutions and maxing out lvl 15, late game mons like Ttar would seem to be broken in this format. The game would need a complete overhaul of balance. It looks interesting, though.
But other mons are so different it might not be as OP as we know.

I kinda like this. This incentivize fighting a lot rather than farming. Mobs don't really spawn anywhere else except for the few in the middle where another teamfight could happen. Honestly this is what I prefer
Just focus on ranked matches that’s where the money is at that’s why everyone plays cause it’s fun competition and you can win money if your good. This version is stupid

In this version, some objectives are teamwide buffs like drednaw and others like regis are solo buffs (player that KOs the obj I presume) is interesting.
Not a big fan of skipping evolutions, I would much rather have loosened level gating rather than skipping. Also at the start, the level differences are questionable, slowbro at lvl 4, kirlia at lvl 4, zorua at lvl 3 and dreepy at lvl 1, like what is happening?
I think they have to slowdown the obj timers little bit. I like the fast paced battles but I think this doesn't cater the "casual" playerbase.
Global version can benefit from some of these changes.

It looks interesting but with teammates that don't show up to objectives and the quick leveling up, u might lose the game even faster than normal. I don't understand why Timi made such a different game even reworking moves. I liked the objectives spawning constantly. Seems like it would encourage team fights but who knows with the state of the game. Mixed bag for me.

Evolutions are a bit too early, should have been somewhere in the middle. Also, has the purple side had the upper hand the whole game? They kept pushing and the orange team seemed to have no room to breathe or counter.
