Agreed. Customers should know the reason for every grade issued. It's frustrating especially in instances when you receive a lower grade than you anticipated. I just checked the pricing for Grader Notes and it' starts at $129 per card... And that's with the $150 annual PSA subscription. That is insane. edit: that's the lowest tear that can include Grader Notes. Express (5 day turn around). Hopefully they add it to the standard ones for a fraction of the price.
@@elo-matey you're 100% right. 10 years grading experience and overall mostly consistent gem rate so those times getting back a pack to sleeve card , scrutinizing it for any issues under the bright overhead lights before sending, when you do get back that random low score that to the naked eye doesn't even come close to matching, and while encased in the slab has no physical wear, edging, denting, to speak of and the centering is great. They should be forced to explain why old slabbed cards can be off center, whitening, and some chipping and still get NM 7's - MINT 9's but every so often why you get back a random actual gem mint pack to sleeve card as a 5-8 which half the time isn't even considered a "near mint" score, despite nothing to be seen to the eye. No notes to explain how they could of possibly come to their non-existent reasoning. We know better, sure is a convenient issue them choosing to not address that "just so happens" to enable easy pop control.

I know this will sound crazy, but I am at the point that I started using Electronic LED Microscopes to inspect the card prior to sending it in to verify if there are any flaws the naked eye can't see. They are fairly priced too around $40-50 for a good one. You're able to record 4k video and pictures of insane level of detail. (also nice to use to check for fake slabs) I save each video on my PC, and when the cards get back from grading I cross reference if PSA damaged the card themselves at all. Ultimately what I'm getting at is, if my naked eye couldn't pick up flaw, sure that's understandable... but if a 50-1000x zoom microscope can't either... Please tell me what I "missed" PSA. Would love to know.
If we get that team rocket set I want black border cards surrounding the card just like they did with team plasma cards. I would love a team Rocket Nidoking holo for the set ☺️
I think grader notes could prevent a small percentage of grader bias. I always hear that grades could be up to the mood or opinions of the grader, and if they need to provide notes it could challenge graders to be more accurate.
Am I the only one that thinks that could pump up the prizes for the illustration contest? They are the biggest media franchise in the world, they could have bigger prizes
I love the adventure calendars!! It's one of my favorite ways to experience pokemon with the kids! They all have their favorite calender, and I always have my pokemon one! I hope they never stop this product! It's one of the funnest products! (Maybe not value, but the experience is priceless!)
We've had our hands on the new PSA slabs... not a fan. While yes theyve pretty much eliminated the rattle issue, they appear to have gone too far. We've had a few cards bowed in the case from a lack of width in the frame, and 1 card completely rippled like a letter that didn't fit inside an envelope. They're also a nightmare to crack, as the plastic wants to bend and fold rather than split apart like the old ones would.
I think the halloween cards arent gonna have value now but in the future they might cause if its for kids and they dont remake them or something maybe a few will survive in the future whos knows right
Someone please correct me, but wasn’t the eBay vault at first a way to AVOID fees? Or wasnt it like significantly cheaper to use eBay vault?? And now psa bought it and if I’m hearing it right it’s now MORE than eBay’s fees? I get with shipping and stuff it might be easier but I was under the impression the eBay vault originally was significantly cheaper?? I’ve never used it, just genuinely curious.
Yes, that sounds accurate. eBay Vault was operating under an introductory rate and would increase fees over time, but this is a significant increase all at once.

Dark Blastoise is my fave Blastoise art ever and my fave Pokemon ever. I’ve always loved Team Rocket. My fave set all time is Team Rocket. So I am absolutely looking forward to this set.

I'm hoping to get a few 151 stamp variants from the Holiday Calendar and Halloween packs for my master set binder. Sadly the Professor Voltorbs seems like a goal post to far for me. Maybe we'll also get some McDonald's variants as well. The grading industry is in desperate need of an overhaul and potentially regulation/ oversight. PSA being the industry standard but having an inferior slab for years is mind boggling. The art contest, didn't technically have AI being against the rules, you can view them yourself. The vaporeon pose is similar, sure, but also different, how many poses can you draw a pokemon in reality though? I think AI art is art, and its no different then when digital art began to overshadow hand drawn years ago. So many digital art programs also utilize AI as an artist assist within them, so where do you draw the line? I don't see how its unfair either, since anyone could technically use ai for the contest as well, creating a fair playing field. I don't think grades are suppressed, I see more cards getting 10's when they look like 9's.

I'm excited about the Team Rocket set. It's been a long time since we've seen unique versions of Pokemon (Light & Dark). Definitely not overplayed like EX/V/VMAX/GX. I do enjoy the sub grades option with other companies so I'm pleased with PSA opting to be more transparent too. Card Party truly is unique from any other convention out there. I'm looking forward to seeing you again next year!
I bought 4 boxes 1st edition Team Rocket in July 2000 for my son, but we only opened 3 boxes. I still have 1 sealed 1st edition box, many 1st edition holo and non-holo rare cards, many sets 1st edition uncommon and common cards. These cards have never been played. I’d like to sell all this weekend if i got a good deal.

@@pokemon_classics the packs in the first one were better. The Pikachu promo we got in English was awesome too. The 2nd didn’t have a great exclusive like that and there were a lot of the 3 card sample packs. Basically more fluff than value in the 2nd one. Looking forward to the new one though! 🤌

True, like an accountability measure. On the other hand, it could pressure graders into finding something wrong, so they don't look lazy.

Yikes rippled cards! Harder to crack?! Ugh I wish they had left them alone. Sounds like they may be damaging a bunch of cards :(
