- A nippy tune from the 1800’s, and a fun one for both melody and rhythmn/chord players. It was noted and recorded by several southern fiddlers in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s though some believe it originally came from Scotland or Ireland. Apparently jigs were not all that common in the south at that time. Whoever first came up with the tune they did a great job and it continues to be popular among old time musicians today.
November is giving us its usual roller coaster weather with some very welcome warm sunny days in between some cold frosty mornings. We’re enjoying and appreciating the chance for a final (maybe) outdoor video, and time to do those last fall chores in comfort before the cold set in.
