Yeah, I have one of those movies also. Its a horror thriller and one day I'll find it. Anyway, Pumaman is available on UA-cam, and available as a MST3K episode on YT. Its hilariously bad in both forms and you'll never forget it. I love watching the Canadian television shows and movies, they are just so darn earnest even when they are comedies. They are great!
Sounds like the kind of flick we would watch back in the day...on VHS..muted and with ample use of the pause and fast-forward function! OH the Fun of Late Night Naughty TV Viewing back in the day!
I haven’t seen Heavenly Bodies in so many years, though I remember the lead actress better from her role in Street Legal. Thank you, from this Canadian, for bringing back a memory.
Ah, but what about "Seeing Things" and "E.N.G."? And "The Nature of Things". And "The Beachcombers". And "Danger Bay"... I watched all of those! And "The National" and "The Fifth Estate" too!
"They Shoot Aerobics Instructors, Don't They?" - Homage to Jane Fonda there. I remember this movie back as a kid, mixed in with memories with the Jamie Lee Curtis movie "Perfect".
Mines is the reverse. It was a mystery movie from a TV episode. X files season 2 or 3 season finale. It was a scene from a James Mason film on mulders TV as background noise. Took forever to track down. And did find a copy of journey to the center of the earth.
Dancercise? Prancercise? Sorry, for me it’s gotta be Jazzercise or nuthin’ 😆 Pumaman is a must-see, if for nothing else than Donald Pleasence’s return to Blofeld-style super-villany, but on a much tighter budget 😅
Excellent review! (And YES find "The Pumaman"! It was one of my favorite episodes of MST3K ever back in the day!)
Mst3k episode was hilarious great riffing good host segments 😊

I know whereof you speak. :D
Was a late night staple on Showtime. Thanks for the review.

Heavenly Bodies sounds a lot like Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.

Alton was The Pumaman. After that, where else can you go?
It is the pinnacle of any career, no doubt about it.
