- Video Description:
This week was a rollercoaster of a job, with a mix of high-end car deliveries and some of the most unexpected truck drives I've ever done! 🚛💨
First, I was tasked with delivering a high-value vehicle across the country, requiring an overnight hotel stay before completing the journey. Long-haul driving is always challenging, but when you're responsible for something this expensive, the pressure is on! 😰
But just when I thought the week couldn't get any more varied, I ended up behind the wheel of some truly unexpected trucks - a council gully sucker (yes, a literal sewer-cleaning truck) and a heavy-duty hook loader for auction. From high-performance motors to industrial beasts, this week had it all!
One thing’s for sure- no two days are the same in this job! Would you rather drive the luxury car or one of the council machines? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️

You look like you're enjoying yourself. I bet it's nice going home clean each day.
enjoy your new place kev and thank you looking forward to seeing the classic cars
That Dennis cab of the gully sucker, looks very familiar to me, having driven dustcarts for my local authority for 18 months.
I used to hate the Dennis trucks, we had Merc's, Dennis and Terberg trucks at our depot, and always preferred the terberg units as they were so much more reliable. Built on a mercedes arocs chassi, but the control units for the side loading tippers were much more sturdy then the dennis units they had.
At least with the terberg, if there were any faults codes that appeared though the shift, you turned the PTO off, turned it back on and 99.9% of the time it had cleared.
Glad you're happier in your work now Kev. I'm now driving a liquid waste tanker for a local plant hire firm. And loving the work. At least I don't get call outs, nights out or calls at stupid o clock in the evening, 30 mins you've just got home!
Stay safe and stay happy Kev.
Another great video Kev Tee mate
Great Job KEV :)
Hotels and not sleeping in the cab what a dream job
Glad you are now fixed up, you should have been doing this instead of the mundane, shuttle jobs, tippers, building site , and Trent's tramping.
Hotels , long distance clean , variety , what more could you possibly ask for .
Jobs like that are really rare
What an absolute gem of a job , I would love this but sadly at 68 I am too old
Have great fun and love your new job and I wish you all the best
A good job you must love it keep on keeping on
Was going to say the flashing /beeping on the Dennis is part of the masternaut fleet tracking/driver performance.
Wow I have never heard IVECO and nice used in one sentence 😂😂
That's a mighty fine beard mate !

Great video kev 😊
You are much happier there kev.
Certainly a bit different kev brilliant stuff
Up here in Glasgow I’ve noticed a few ex Asda home delivery Iveco daily vans that have been converted into vehicle recovery pickups
Sleeping in a hotel? 😮 That's cheating. Tent on the flatbed 😂
Fun to is YOU at job!
I hate IVECOs with a passion 😂
Four wheel drive Kev you could have got her on there without ramps 😂👍🏻🏴
In and out of all sorts provides some nice variety. Surprised you've not got a basic vehicle check app or book to cover yourself.
Yea, this seems kinda fun. Any vacancies?
The amount of time I`ve spent waiting for something to happen in Wanchard Lane depot over the many years I pretended to w*rk for Dorset Council must be in months rather than hours. More than once I`ve dropped a vehicle off in the morning and had a replacement vehicle arrive just before knock-off time!
That sounds like the alarm for registering the driver i.d magnetic key
That tyre fitter never heard of wheel keys.
You should work for a council if you like the Dennis as all if not most bin trucks are Dennis
Speed limiter on either steering wheel or indicator stalk
When are you come to Portsmouth to deliver cars
Dont let them keep you in that 1 car it happend to me i started at new company my waggon was on order i spent 2 months in a transit shifting chairs boxes anything they needed moving buttie run washing cars i quit .
The green stripe on the number plate states it's it's electrice for emergency service's, I.e fire brigade. That's my understanding anyway
so are denis vehicles basically renaults? since my local recycling company uses denis bin lorrys
That Gv60 is the Top End Hyundai... Bit like Lexus to Toyota....
7.2 ton those Ivecos always fund them a bit strange as they drive and feel like a van but are a Truck
Hi Kev, when you bring the gully sucker and other type trucks back to the yard, how do you get to the council depots? Do you take a vehicle there drive required vehicle back or do you driver your personal car then and driver it back at later date or does a coullege take you? as you cant get gully suckers etc on the normal transporters
Is the iveco a 5 tonner
It's smaller than the reno from trents
❤❤👍👍😊😊
Hanging out the cab reversing is a big no no very naughty
I was born in Scunthorpe. Now live in the BH postcode. I agree, never visit Scunthorpe.
Trowell servos (Ilkeston, Derbyshire, Between J25 / 26, M1), just up from me, and the place is a right dump..... been better to stop at Castle Donington / East Midlands Airport just down from there, got hotel there too, or can go for any around the airport area at J24, M1 (Kegworth).
Have done the run up to Scarborough from J25, M1 before, quite a nice easy run..... about 2.5 hrs, mostly motorway roads and A614.
It’s makes you wonder how much the local councils waste money….. that drain cleaner must have cost a fortune to spec up when new!!and they no doubt are replacing it with a newer model!!!!
Nice hotel better than a Scania cab
The expensive EV didn't self-ignite, then! :-)
Pick a fire engine I can see your grin from miles away.
£1200 for that BMW very nice
Not bad for a £600 car
