    Like it very much! When people speak about self defense and street fights, Lee Morrison and Geoff Thompson are the two names which i recommend first. It has nothing to do with being disrespectull towards combat sport fighters, but sport fighting and street fighting / self defense is simply not the same.
    Its strange to me how so many Americans, including UFC commentator, Martial Artist, Podcaster and Comedian Joe Rogan always portray it like its the same, anything what works in a cage also is the first option in the street.
    Lee and Geoff have 10 times more street experience (self defense) as 90% of combat sport fighters, so its an easy choice to who to pick.
    If i want to learn something about MMA or Boxing, i go to Francis Ngannou or Tyson Fury, but not when i want to learn something about self defense and street fighting, they are the wrong adress for that.
    Cheers

    I was surprised when Lee suggests in some of his videos to use claw strike on the face targeting the opponent's eyes, several years ago I used that claw strike in a fight on the street. It really works, that man barely escaped, his left eye was severely injured. I can tell that Lee's fighting method is real, it works. It took only one single blow of my claw strike to subdue that opponent.

    • @Moodymongul
      @Moodymongul 4 роки тому +1

      'the claw' is a stable of fighting :)
      Just look at the training of Nigiri Game (Gripping Jars). The clawing power/techniques this training creates is quite impressive (especially when the higher levels of training start).
      And frankly, this type of hand strengthening was a staple training technique around the world (in the past).

    Mr. Morrison, I’d like to begin by saying thank you for sharing your experiences and your knowledge in every day encounters.
    I am a security guard here state side, and I work shifts in a detox crisis center.
    Last night, a patient was admitted and he has been positive for HIV.
    As my two biggest concerns are spitting and biting. When you were on the doors, how did removing combative punters with aids and hiv affect your differ when removing them from the premises?
    I would happily take any advice you have. I would be deeply appreciate it if you could give me an example of one encounter you had with a hiv positive, whilst working doors.
