I Took My Girlfriend to my Favourite Secret River Spot on Vancouver Island
Almost every summer over the last ten plus years, I have done my best to make my way to this Vancouver Island hidden gem. Back in high school I was initially shown this little sand bar along the river and since then I’ve made my way back on numerous occasions. The only way I knew to gain access to this was a steep decline down the cliffside further down the river. From there, I’d have to trek up the river until eventually making my way to this spot. One time a few years back there was an older Fore Bronco on the beach and this was the first time I realized vehicles could access this spot! From there I would eventually check out the road and see where it lead. When I got to the top, it was a familiar area I had been to before and therefore knew exactly where I was and how to get to this river spot with my X. I’ve tried a few times to try to get here over the past few years but always seemed to run into some form of issue or delay… finally, with my new ​⁠‪@gofsr‬ Odyssey tent, I was able to get here with my X and camp for a night.
