I think there are two interesting aspects of Shopping Spree that you didn't mention (which is fair, because they're pretty niche). The first is that when you're done using Shopping Spree to get your toys (or don't use it for that at all), it's a great place for ally Storm to store threat. That effectively gives her a THW of 4 which is insane. The second is that it's a recurrable side scheme. Yes, it's not at-will recurrable because you can only get it from your deck and not your discard pile, but that's what Mutant Education is for. So you stock up on Cell Phones, Beat Cops, and upgrades that trigger when a side scheme is defeated and go to town. (Or to the mall, I guess.) I don't think that's a hugely powerful deck, but it's a lot of fun.
I enjoyed listening to your review. Jubilee is my favorite character now. I agree that leadership is more powerful in solo because it mitigates her hp problems against stalwart and Uncanny X-Men is just too good. Justice is my favorite way to play her. Interestingly, in solo I don't prioritize getting my coat at all. I feel that I overthwart when I grab it, and I almost always prefer the sunglasses over the coat. Great Review!
Haven't played her yet but really enjoyed the video! Love these review videos. But you left a mystery - how do you like to player her and what are "her lanes" you discovered? I could really use hero strategy videos lol
Ah sorry that wasnt clearer! Mainly you need to use allies to protect her and not go all out on shopping spree. Once I stopped trying to trigger shopping spree and stopped flooding the deck with events to try and trigger her abilities she got much smoother to play!
For sure. The second I saw that card, I knew where it’s forever home would be. Nice to finally lose momentum shift in favor of this card since you don’t always need the heal from momentum shift. plus it’s basic so it’s not eating into your six dip cards.
The character I find her most similar to is Hawkeye, both have squishiness issues and stalwart issues. I do agree she's really good in multiplayer but can be pretty rough solo.
Great review! I don’t have Jubilee yet but I’m excited to try her! Thanks for being so thorough and balanced on figuring out her kit. I get what you mean with X-men Leadership. Such a strong build, especially solo. I think X-men heroes have been multiplayer/team oriented in a more supportive way than say specialized heroes such as Valkyrie. Maybe that’s part of it. 🤷🏻♂️
I really enjoy Jubilee. I feel it is hard to classify here with a power level because it can discharge from villain to villain. She may have issues with Stalwart/steady villains like a lot of heroes but her abilities to spread damage around really nerfs multi villain stages and shopping spree makes discard upgrade support villains powerless. She can pull back her items or just make sure to add a sacrificial item to other heroes and you no longer have to fear War. I also feel her flaws are kinda necessary. She has so many status effect actions she should be squishy.
interesting i just assumed you couldn't use cards like Beat Cop or Surveillance Team to remove thwart from Shopping Spree but you're right, the rules just say you can't use Heroes or Allies to do it. Seems thematically bizarre but oh well!
I played next to a really cool aggression jubilee deck a week or two ago. They leaned heavily onto Into the Fray, Hand Cannon, and Follow Through to get overkill and throw damage around like crazy. Felt kind of like archangel, with the Glasses triggering so often.
I can see why you put Jubilee in B tier, I think, personally she is more of an A tier hero, despite her "squishability." Her Status condition locking is almost, if not equivalent to, on par with Miles Morales. I find it harder to play Miles than Jubilee.
That is fair! I think Miles has a bit more defensive options with his tough generation and more aggressively costed cards! But he is also pretty tricky to play! This sounds like a fun short to make to discuss the differences!
Wow, 18 seconds old, first! Re. Jubilee, I think she works much better in multiplayer. With someone handling the housekeeping she can build and just start deleting minions and villain HP in aggression.

Hi Nelson! Great video as usual!
Watch out I think Bishop and Magik are missing in your tierlist
Ah thanks, I had noticed the software I was using took ice man out so I put him back in, but I should have looked further back as well! Thanks!!

Thank you!!
I fully agree about her coat and sunglasses. In many solo games I don't get the coat at all, unless it's in a very scheme heavy scenario.
@@AnondodDoes this just come down to whether or not you’re playing Justice?
@@dlm9090 Not really. But if you're playing non-Justice and you're also light on allies, it's probably more useful.
My copy of her just came in yesterday so this was perfect timing for me. She looks like a fun hero and your breakdown of her will be super helpful.
Excellent! Hope you enjoy her!

@@NelsonAllOverCards Can you update the discord link? It is telling me it may be expired. Thanks!
I ran Multitalented with Gamora recently. It was astonishingly good.
Oh I bet!!

Oh yea! I can totally see that!

Totally agree! They really leaned into the teamwork with the mutants which is very thematic!

Haha thematically I like to think of the surveillance team running a covert operation through the mall to obtain the latest greatest cell phone lol

I forgot that it also used Aggressive Energy and Warrior Skill to hit even harder.
Oh that sounds epic!
👏👏👏
