Iowa couldn’t even win two of their games that season going 8-1-1. LSU was downright dominate and undefeated that year.
Pretty sad that Iowa couldn’t even win two of their ten games, but had to claim a national championship because it was their last hope of ever trying to claim one.
Oklahoma in 1958 was ranked #5 but went 10-1, losing a one game by one point and outscoring a eleven teams with a combined 56-52-3 record by a combined 300-55.
