    Hahaha! My dad is #83 for Army. He and Bill Carpenter played the Lonesome End position as well as defensive end.

      @@normanlinden5786 Russell Waters. Check out the book When Saturday Mattered Most. It’s about the undefeated 1958 team. The author interviewed dad 5 or 6 times for that book.

      @@longgrayline8055 - Thank you. Somehow I've missed that book, which is kind of surprising since I'm a West Point football history buff. I think Bob Anderson was one of the greatest running backs ever. Too bad that knee injury ruined his senior year.

      This was Colonel Red Blaik's last team. Army was undefeated in 1958 with a tie with Rice preventing Army from having a perfect season..
