    Yo,
You're a super cool dude and I like most your vids. You seem pretty down, it's gonna happen when you push the car like you do. That's a pricey replacement, about 1/5 the value of the car. Tough break bro

Is maintenance really expensive for a 2016 audi a3 2.0t quattro? im coming from a 2012 mk6 gti. it got totaled it was stage 2 apr. im really attracted to how the a3 8v is basically a awd mk7 gti. how does it feel stock suspension wise and handling if you can remember ? also it seems like mods like intake and exhaust and tune are hundreds of dollars more expensive than the mk6 gen ea888 gen 1 or im guessing a3 8p generation? also stock do they come with 17 inch wheels or 18? only thing i dont like is that my gti that i lost seemed to be low and had a sporty stance even stock. but the a3's at carmax i been looking at always seemed to have small wheels and is very elevated from the ground...

In the video you mentioned you had the haldex flushed but you showed a picture of the rear differential being drained (which is a different fluid). Question is... what made you service the diff? Also, have you changed the haldex fluid yet?

Did you end up buying a new diff or did you get a junkyard one?

I had GRDTuned work on my car. I only go there. Best shop in the midwest.

Same thing happened to my A3. Had the entire rear diff and Haldex pump replaced. Luckily was covered under my CPO warranty because I'm not tuned. Was planning on buying a downpipe and going stage 2, but learning how common a lot of these issues are and the real cost of repairs on these cars has really turned me off to it. :(

Josh Park It was the dealers fault tho. I bought a 3 year old car with 31k miles and I assumed they did a Haldex fluid change on it before selling it, but now I know they didn't and I drove the car 10 thousand miles not knowing.

Cole Jackson i dont think those idiots ever did my haldex or dsg , 47k miles , I genuinely hate audi service, they always say “seems fine” , mayne i need to try a new dealorship lol

these cars are still auto, you still cant launch control these even if its the norm. but hey you entertained us at your expense. i have been waiting to see when these will start to break down. i think yours is the first documented. these cars seems to be pretty fragile with the need of constant shorter timed maintenance than other brands. now adding to the stress to the car, owners are changing the computer systems and abusing the car it will break much faster.

Paul Krupa only get it if you plan on keeping it stock or spending a lot of money on upgrades. If you APR tune it the turbo will blow. My turbo blew and I had to upgrade to the is38 turbo (s3 turbo) which cost me around 3500$

I will explain everything next video. I have had no issues with the car that were not self made. The differential and intake manifold were all my fault.

@@cameronscott5576 based on what i see on the forums, majority of folks who ran into issues with tuning has APR. With that said, what do you think about Unitronic stage 1? I dont see ppl ever posting issues with Unitronic. My car has 24k miles and warranty runs out late 2021. Im going to wait till then.
