Aug 12, 2024 KP7 Aurora & Perseid Meteors over Brant Lake in the Adirondacks of Upstate New York

We had a KP7 aurora during the peak of the Perseid meteor shower during the early morning hours of Aug. 12, 2024. There was a mix of clouds and clear skies during the 3 hour and 20 minute long time lapse shoot, but there were some really nice northern lights during the time period I photographed. Every now and then you'll notice the streak of a shooting star, along with an otter that shows up in the lily pads in the foreground at 56 seconds and again at 1:08. What a wonderful morning!
