Wow what an amazing collection of music, 😱 you probably have more CDs under one roof than any music store. I'm guessing. Interesting Robert Palmer CDs not to be confused with Robert Plant .
I only have a modest 3000 (more or less) cd's in my collection. I also do not buy in bulk, but had an exception. Found a box on a car boot sale with cd's that belonged to a local radio that I love, and couldn't pass the opportunity. It's not all of the radio's collection (I wish!) but maybe part of it that they wanted to get rid of it (mainly 90's pop). Congratulations and keep up the good (collecting) work!
That is a wild collection my man. Glad to see there are music collectors out there still! I myself am slowly building my vinyl collection. I have about 75 so far. Keep up the great work dude!
It's an amazing collection Brendon, but how do you remember it all? Do you ever inadvertently duplicates? Fascinating video. It's brilliant you put a different one out every day. @@BrendonSnydersame for me Brendon been with you from almost the beginning and look forward to your video every morning. Thanks for all the work and effort in doing so🤘🏻
Amazing collection! I of course love the same types of music as you, so its easy for me to watch all your videos. As to how you display your collection, that closet would drive my CRAZY. Especially those white boxes stacked on top of one another. I dont see any labels on them telling you whats in them. How do you know? From memory? Also, if something is in a box at the bottom, you have to unstack 10-12 boxes just to get to it.. WOW...to much for me...I would find a way to make space to display them all...
Thinking the exact same thing - gotta have every CD, album out on display, couldn't do the box thing! A great way to free up more space for collection is to kindly tell anyone you might be living with to hit the road, as they are taking up valuable real estate for music, which has to come first!😊
Lol! Yeah, Brendon might want to look into CD storage towers that are a couple feet in width, stand about six feet tall and have four different columns to put CDs on, maximizing every inch of storage area! They are killer! I have two of them, and they hold over a thousand CDs, while taking up little space. The tower has a base which allows it to spin, to rotate, so you can look at all four sides. I have about nine thousand CDs and they must be on display, so people can see what excellent taste I have in music! 😁😁😁@@retromediaguy
To have a whole big room just for CD's is so great. I have a wife and a daughter and just don't have the room for my 1500 CD's and 700 books, that's why I have to store all of it in the cellar. But as soon as my daughter moves out (she is 17 already😄) I will finally have my own library and music room. Our favourite hobbies should not be banned to the cellar.
Damn I thought my collection was up there. I don't know why cd's are not very popular these days even though vinyl made quite the comeback. I still play my cd's all the time. CD's forever!
There are many channels dedicated to collecting records but very few channels about CD's. I collect both but I buy mainly CD's nowadays due to skyrocketing prices!!
Your mention of Michael Bolton totally reminded me of one his songs that’s played during the frat scene in the Rodney Dangerfield movie, Back to School! Everybody’s Crazy! Pre-Shazam, I had a heckuva time figuring who that was! I assumed it was some 80’s glam metal band, never in my mind would I have guessed that it was Michael Bolton! That song rocks!
Hey Brandon you've always had a impressive collection been following you for awhile now.Since you have gone over your collection have you ever thought about goin over your sound system that you have and are you into hifi stuff for amping up your system as in dacs,Certain speaker set up,type of speakers you own,cd system etc
Hey Brendon, it's always so fun and entertaining to watch your videos. I've got a question, have you ever wondered what will be of your massive collection when you are in your 80s?? Think that there will come a time when you decide to downsize?
Municipal Waste, now that is a fitting name for a heavy metal band. A fascinating mix of all kinds of music, which is pretty cool. I really dig your system of organization, as well.
I know I told you before, but this an impressive collection. Amazed you know what you have. Thank you for sharing this with us. I didn’t realize Joe Lynn Turner was on so many albums. I’ll have to look for them.
He’s on way more albums that what I had in that box. Those were just solo album but he has also guested as the vocalist on a whole album by other bands, or partnered up like The Hughes Turner Project or when he was in Rainbow and Deep Purple.
I hope you have some insurance coverage for all your 12,000 CDs just in case something bad happens. You can’t be never be too careful about it ,saying it out of concern.
Brendon, I've got an idea 💡 for you. After watching this video, I thought. It would be great if you took a genre, artist or band that you have in your collection and recommend to us similar bands that have the same style or sound. 🎉👍... Cheers from 🇨🇦.
Inspiring video. I wonder if you pay much attention to the Dynamic Range thing for different versions of the same album? For instance Buggles Age of Plastic was originally released on CD in 1987, then re-issued in 2000. The original commands three times the price, presumably because the DR Database indicates a greater dynamic range for this disc and is therefore the audiophile's version of choice!
I don’t buy things just because they have been remastered or something claims one sounds better than another. I do know what I like and listen to what sounds good to me. Since we all hear things differently, what you prefer may not be what I prefer.
im into collecting retro videos games i never knew there was a community of music collectors on youtube. i got a tub full of my old music cds mostly hip hop. i even have some guilty pleasure japanese pop cd's.
You are a BEAST! 95% of the cd's you showed i have or heard in some format. I have a few that may i ask if you have Vyper - First Strike Dirty Looks Kick Axe Heaven Demon Angel Witch Gothic Slam Atomic Rooster I'm mainly a ROCK/HEAVY METAL guy myself. MUSIC has been my PASSION my whole life(60 yrs.).
Yes to all of them except Vyper and Gothic Slam. Just recently both a boxset of Atomic Rooster albums. One of my favorite Glam Metal bands so Dirty Looks with the album Cool From The Wire being an underrated classic.
@@BrendonSnyder Thx for the response. Dirty Looks are WAY under rated. Cool from the wire is the only cd that got them any attention. But you should check out the other lps as well. Five Easy Pieces....Turn of the Screw....Chewing on the Bit...One Bad Leg.....etc.. The singer also had a couple of side bands...Rumbledog and Pure. As for VYPER the lp was actually called Prepared to Strike released in 1984(my bad). I just actually found it on youtube today.
I'm surprised you don't sleeve them. I have around 80K and am building a barn to warehouse them. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy a collection or lot and sell the rest. I never thought about doing a recurrent bookshelf but I'm sure radio did that with their carts since those were the ones they went for most. Are you big on hit singles collection with unique single mixes? And now you got a lot of cds to put back!
As always great to see Brendon. Cool collection, question do you got cd’s from a Dutch 80’s glam band called Sleeze Beez? Screwed Blued & Tattooed is a great album.
Sleeze beez is major band, released two albums via Atlantic records in USA. Of course, he has it. Even here in Russia i have 3 versions of Screwed blued &, tattooed album. US Atlantic cd edition, red bullet edition with bonus track and vinyl record
Nice collection. I still enjoy buying CDs but have never counted how many I have. Some are at my condominium, and some are at my parents house. I’ve slowed down my buying quite a bit due to space limitations and am very selective with what I buy now.
Nice collection! What do you listen to when away from home do you also have Spotify? My first buy was Quiet Riot when it was released in cassette, when I used to get a new album I would play it to death.
Very impressive collection! I do have some questions, purely out of curiosity : 1. I was impressed to hear mention of bands like Keel and Sword, and even W.A.S.P. from your box storage, but I did not hear any mention of Kind Diamond / Mercyful Fate, Venom, or Type O Negative / Carnivore - I started to think you pretty much collected everything, but you mentioned drawing the line at the extreme/death metal stuff (I'm not big on it either - love the music, but not the guttural/demonic vocals), so I wonder if those bands I mentioned made it into your collection? 2. You mentioned you prefer to sort by genre, and it appears you also seem to sort alphabetically - how strict are you with alphabetical sorting, and do you observe the standard sorting of "solo" artists by their surname? After discovering some artists' names can sound like band names (i.e. King Diamond, Meat Loaf, etc), I gave up trying to do that and now everything and everyone is sorted by the fist letter of their name - including bands that start with "The" (those go under T - yep, that's a big section, lol). I was also nudged into that direction due to how my music on the computer gets sorted (by artist/band), s o figured I may as well remain consistent outside of the digital realm, IRL. 3. Again with sorting, do you sort bands whose name start with numbers in any particular way? Like, do names with digits get sorted differently from bands who spell out the number? 4. Have you ever encountered a conflict in sorting where an artist or band could theoretically fit into more than one genre or category, and how do you reconcile that dilemma? These may sound like silly questions, but I've faced these decisions myself and so I am curious how other people with BIG collections, especially ones as massive and extensive as yours, tend to go about sorting and sub-sorting. Cheers!
"If there was a fifth band in the Big Four, it should be Overkill" : I couldn't agree more ! It seems that they've never done a bad album. And their recent works are so good. Thank you Brendon for showing us so precisely what stands on these shelves we see in the background of all your videos.
I have about 3.000 CD’s and already don’t have time to play all regularly and you have 4x that. Do you just collect or also (regularly) play and enjoy them, @Brendon Snyder ? As 12.000 CD’s is about 12.000 hours and that means if you play 8 hours of music a day and not leave the house the entire year you can play them all in 4 years…….. and barely have time to socialize, go out to buy new albums or listen to great albums multiple times.😄
I did have many of the 80's rock and metal on tape that you have in your collection, but i've been selling(900+ titles) via a friend since late 2022 and suprised what people pay for them. My cd collection is also being streamlined but notvon such a scale as tapes very hard to decide what goes, lots of Euro Metal definitely stays!
I understand separating genres with a collection the size of yours. It would drive me crazy to have have my collection split with your main wall. Do you often switch out the main wall with main shelf or do you have doubles.

I've also got a small set up in the bedroom comprising Chord Chordette Peach, Prime and Scamp and a pair of ECLIPSE TD307MK2A streaming Tidal via an ESCAPE M1 AIR. I'm heavily into Prog. Favourite band is RUSH.
@@DC-bo9py Brendon is not too much into Hi Fi mate ...
amazing collection and that Michael Bolton album is indeed killer!
Incredible collection sir , cds are great
Yes they sure are! Music is life!
Wow what an amazing collection of music, 😱 you probably have more CDs under one roof than any music store. I'm guessing. Interesting Robert Palmer CDs not to be confused with Robert Plant .
Robert Palmer, Robert Plant......He got the RP correct!
Either way that is an amazing collection 💿💿⏺️💿💿💿💿💿
I only have a modest 3000 (more or less) cd's in my collection. I also do not buy in bulk, but had an exception. Found a box on a car boot sale with cd's that belonged to a local radio that I love, and couldn't pass the opportunity. It's not all of the radio's collection (I wish!) but maybe part of it that they wanted to get rid of it (mainly 90's pop).
Congratulations and keep up the good (collecting) work!
I have 2500 CDs in my collection [Embarrassing compared to Yours] and I love it. Yours is Dynamic & you should be proud.
Always look forward to them. Its a lot of work for you & I for one appreciate your efforts. I'm a long time viewer & remember the 'wall of wonder'😊. Thanks
Yeah right now it’s just all in my head. Maybe one day my memory won’t be so sharp but for now I am able to recall it all.
@@BrendonSnydersame for me Brendon been with you from almost the beginning and look forward to your video every morning. Thanks for all the work and effort in doing so🤘🏻
awesome Brendon, thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
I would love to see you go through your box of RATT stuff. They are my favorite band from the 80s.🤩
I already made that video, see link ua-cam.com/video/zKKDH7pQhe4/v-deo.htmlsi=1Y3ThT2dHZPMVv_-
I love your box sets - have you done a video on those alone?
Amazing collection! I of course love the same types of music as you, so its easy for me to watch all your videos. As to how you display your collection, that closet would drive my CRAZY. Especially those white boxes stacked on top of one another. I dont see any labels on them telling you whats in them. How do you know? From memory? Also, if something is in a box at the bottom, you have to unstack 10-12 boxes just to get to it.. WOW...to much for me...I would find a way to make space to display them all...
Thinking the exact same thing - gotta have every CD, album out on display, couldn't do the box thing! A great way to free up more space for collection is to kindly tell anyone you might be living with to hit the road, as they are taking up valuable real estate for music, which has to come first!😊
@@treff9226I think he lives alone, so he doesnt have to ask..lol...
Amazing collection. You should consider ripping it all so you can play it easier.
I would love to see an Ameoba "what's in my bag" Brendon Snyder
Edition. It would be an hour long and FANTASTIC!!
I have 10,xxx audio files on my computer, and everyday I have trouble picking what to listen to 😅😅
great collection you have there, by the way 👍
Hey Brendon, can you do video on out of print cd’s or the very rare ones?
Hi Michael, I’ve made a video on my 10 most rare and valuable CDs, see link ua-cam.com/video/mGLehYPCvR8/v-deo.htmlsi=SCx8wpYIrrpIIMkz
Impressive collection. 🤘😎🤘
Damn I thought my collection was up there. I don't know why cd's are not very popular these days even though vinyl made quite the comeback. I still play my cd's all the time. CD's forever!
I got a buddy who has an over 10K vinyl collection, fills his little house. Your place and his look like a music store. Nice collection by the way.
There are many channels dedicated to collecting records but very few channels about CD's. I collect both but I buy mainly CD's nowadays due to skyrocketing prices!!
One word: Awesome!!!! 👍🤘🔥
👍🙏
@@BrendonSnyder 👍 Just ordered your channell! 😅🤘
Impressive collection! I'm from Canada and I'd never heard of Moxy, although apparently AC/DC opened for them in 1977.
Incredibile collection man....I have more than 1000 CD but only by legendary Scorpions....
Fantastic collection. Wow. ❤
Hey Brandon you've always had a impressive collection been following you for awhile now.Since you have gone over your collection have you ever thought about goin over your sound system that you have and are you into hifi stuff for amping up your system as in dacs,Certain speaker set up,type of speakers you own,cd system etc
I recently bought a new sound system and filmed the experience, see link ua-cam.com/video/sRn_ffY_VUw/v-deo.htmlsi=iu3DCvSFf3ffEpIe
great collection.. I have a pretty large collection of basically jazz music.. I've been concentrating on Box Sets lately..
To enjoy such a collection to the fullest, one should have several lives.
Hey Brendon, it's always so fun and entertaining to watch your videos. I've got a question, have you ever wondered what will be of your massive collection when you are in your 80s?? Think that there will come a time when you decide to downsize?
No never! I love the collection and wouldn’t want to part with any of it.
Municipal Waste, now that is a fitting name for a heavy metal band. A fascinating mix of all kinds of music, which is pretty cool. I really dig your system of organization, as well.
Awesome! Keep on collecting :)
Thanks!
I’m a big fan of his work with Rainbow. I knew he did other projects but it’s a lot more than I realized. Thank you for the reply. 🤘
This dude is really fucking proud of his excess and flaunts it without the slightest hint of shame 😄
Hell no! I worked hard for my collection. I’m not made of money. But I know what I like and find ways to enjoy my passion.
Dont be upset that you haven't worked as hard as him to get his stuff... Work harder, one day you will get your own.
Work harder to enhance your addiction mate...
Thanks for the advice. 😄 I work plenty hard and make a good living. This isn’t about me wishing I had 12,000 CDs and not being able to afford them 😂
I hope you have some insurance coverage for all your 12,000 CDs just in case something bad happens. You can’t be never be too careful about it ,saying it out of concern.
Great to hear EZO get a shout-out. One of the greatest forgotten bands.
Brendon, I've got an idea 💡 for you. After watching this video, I thought. It would be great if you took a genre, artist or band that you have in your collection and recommend to us similar bands that have the same style or sound. 🎉👍... Cheers from 🇨🇦.
I’ve made a few videos like that…”If you like this band then you should also listen to these other bands”. I’ve been meaning to make some more.
To think how much bigger my retirement fund could be right now had I not purchased so many CDs over the years…and I don’t regret it one bit!!!
@@BrendonSnyder Fair enough. At the end of the day owning any version of something is better than none at all!
im into collecting retro videos games i never knew there was a community of music collectors on youtube. i got a tub full of my old music cds mostly hip hop. i even have some guilty pleasure japanese pop cd's.
Oh yes there are lots of communities on UA-cam and music fans and collectors is a big part of it!
You are a BEAST! 95% of the cd's you showed i have or heard in some format. I have a few that may i ask if you have
Vyper - First Strike
Dirty Looks
Kick Axe
Heaven
Demon
Angel Witch
Gothic Slam
Atomic Rooster
I'm mainly a ROCK/HEAVY METAL guy myself.
Love the 30 disc box to sort per group/side project/solo. question: A band like Girl would you put in the Def Leppard box or the LA Guns box? LOL
LA Guns due to Phil Lewis and LA Guns re-recorded Hollywood Tease on their debut album so I associate Girl more with LA Guns than Def Leppard.
@@BrendonSnyder Great collection sir. I'd love to see a Dirty Looks album ranking. I know they are not widely known but I've always loved them.
My heroes! Long live the CD!
I don't wanna toot my own horn, not one to brag, but I've got Brendon beat with my 13,000 parking ticket collection.
I ended up in jail from parking tickets lol
I don't envy you like I envy Brendon 😂
Liar 😒
No laughing matter, sorry to hear that. Here in Huntington Beach, Ca. parking is more difficult than driving - CARMAGEDDON!@@Pluralofvinylisvinyls
Great video Brendon, Do you have 1970's Welsh rock band Lone Star in your collection? If not, they are worth checking out.
@@alexpopglamGreat to see that you’re answering a question for Brendon. Way to go!
Nice collection. I still enjoy buying CDs but have never counted how many I have. Some are at my condominium, and some are at my parents house. I’ve slowed down my buying quite a bit due to space limitations and am very selective with what I buy now.
Just found your channel and love it just wondering you have no love for the Grateful Dead ?
Im at about 8000. Still aways to go to catch you. In my mid 50s, searching for CDs is still my favorite thing to do
Nice collection! What do you listen to when away from home do you also have Spotify?
My first buy was Quiet Riot when it was released in cassette, when I used to get a new album I would play it to death.
Very impressive collection! I do have some questions, purely out of curiosity :
Cheers!
Just wow! Best wishes from Russia!
Thank you Dimitri, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Hello from the US! 🖐️
Amazing CD collection Brendon 👍
I have alot but not 12,000 worth 😆
I’m impressed the way you lift the 90 CD box like it’s lighter than a feather 😂
Haha…😂😂😂
I did have many of the 80's rock and metal on tape that you have in your collection, but i've been selling(900+ titles) via a friend since late 2022 and suprised what people pay for them.
My cd collection is also being streamlined but notvon such a scale as tapes very hard to decide what goes, lots of Euro Metal definitely stays!
I understand separating genres with a collection the size of yours. It would drive me crazy to have have my collection split with your main wall.
Do you often switch out the main wall with main shelf or do you have doubles.
Great collection my friend!
Thank you!
Great collection brendon
Love instrumentals. Chris Polands return Metalopolis is probably my fav
Oh that one is so good!
I currently have 775 cd's in my collection. I really enjoy it. I listen to 1 or 2 complete cds each night.
Baby Animals is an Australian band. 🙂. You showed there first album and it’s incredible. It belongs under Rock though. Nothing glam about it. Great vid.
