With a smart home, you could really take advantage of those buttons. Imagine a movie mode button that closes the curtains, turns on your telly and dims the lights.
Yes. Ive been waiting for something like this. A protective case that covers the full outside of the phone from pitaka. And it has programmable buttons. Now if they could only drop the price down quite a bit.
I have Ringke camera lens protector which individually covers each rear camera lens. So, you think that this case will fit and those lens protector wouldn't be an issue? From your video, it looks pretty tight back there.
I just got mine and noticed two things. The aramid fibre on the camera cut outs has some defects. Like small bubbles. Also, the lock and volume buttons, rattle! They are not firm and you can feel them moving up and down and when I shake my phone with the case, I can hear the rattle/shaking sound from the buttons being wobbly. I'll be asking for replacement.
Hey Mike you're great question last bought my pin button case, I setup one and two but got to the third button, when I click on nfc tagged, said couldn't write on this nfc tagged, try again, I did multiple times and and don't work I ask another you tubers they have no clue zI contacted pitaka ,and they have not answer yet any advice from you?
Thank you for the review! Have you tried to fit the case with the camera lens protector installed on the phone? You mentioned in the video that it should fit, but it seems that there isn't enough room between the camera and the case.
When you were holding your phone to record it, it was slightly tilted, maybe it would be better if you lay on flat? Just a suggestions. cool concept of this case tho! Thank you
The NFC buttons are an amazing feature. Just wished it was a bit thicker so there was no camera bump. I have been looking everywhere for a slimmer case for my S24 ultra that has a flat back (No camera bump) and has amazing magnet strength but this one is still not for me. I don't like having my phone wobling when its flat on the table. Not to mention that 70$ is extremely expensive for a case. It looks amazing and awesome quality but very very expensive for a phone case.
The quality of the Pitaka is better and the magnet alignment is much better for charging. The phone doesm't get as warm as it does with the Benks case.
Well at first, i respect you for answering every coment. I ordered the Case, i currently use the Magbak Case. I love it but its a bit to bulky and heavy. I hope that the pitaka is as perfekt as i hope. But you do a review of a thin case a test with a screen protector would be nice. Much love from germany.
Michael yo. I did not know you had a channel and do Samsung case reviews. Stumbled on this video and that case looks great. I rock a S23U currently but been getting into the magsafe lifestyle, so if i go to the S25U in the on the next upgrade I'll be ready for full mag-life lol
@@MichaelsTechTalk Lol in case you didn't get the joke, the audio balance is off, making the left channel overpower the right. It might be hard to notice if you're listening on speakers but it's very noticeable with earbuds/headphones. I have a stereo to mono script on my browser and it "fixed" the audio balance, but was just mentioning this in case you wanted to check your export / audio settings or if you have, maybe UA-cam processed it weirdly. Either way just mentioning it!
@@MichaelsTechTalk I just skimmed through your videos because I was curious, and the audio is balanced fine on all of your videos up until ~5 months ago. The last video you posted that had balanced audio was this video: "Is This The iPhone of EVs? | Tesla Model 3 Performance Full Review", and starting with the video: "New 3 in 1 Charger from Nomad: Stand One Max" is when it started happening.
@@salmonskinlover2365 no i get it, i did have some issues with my DJi mic when i switched from the Rode where it was only going through the left channel but it has since been rectified. @@MichaelsTechTalk DT-880 250ohm powered by an external amp, but I hear the same thing when listening with galaxy buds on my phone, positionally it feels like the audio is coming from 70% to the left, 50% being the midway point between left and right. Sadly you guess incorrect. The Apple Watch Ultra is LTE so i don't need to use my iPhone daily to use the watch. I dual wield iPhone and Android so i don't have a 'main device'
No it isn't, it's a Samsung problem. When Samsung adopt Qi2 they will be putting magnets into the phone itself so they will need to fix the pen from interferring with magnets.

News flash genius... i wasn't paid for this review, otherwise it would've said paid collaboration. Also, i have to disclose that Pitaka sent the case to me as per UA-cam's terms of service. Time for you to learn the difference between a product review and a paid collaboration..
I'm liking the new case and the NFC tags. It does look the part whilst giving good all-around protection. I can see another case in the offing. Great review, as always. Thanks also for recalling my comment in the Pitaka conventional case review and linking to this latest one. Sets you apart from others. 🫶🏻

For sure!
The possibilites are endless!

And put the moonrise pattern on the back.
I have Ringke camera lens protector which individually covers each rear camera lens. So, you think that this case will fit and those lens protector wouldn't be an issue? From your video, it looks pretty tight back there.
Yes it will fit.
So you have to always turn NFC on? Doesn't that drain the battery?
No, NFC is used when you activate it. i.e. use it for payments, use a NFC tag.
I just got mine and noticed two things. The aramid fibre on the camera cut outs has some defects. Like small bubbles. Also, the lock and volume buttons, rattle! That’s not good, def get in touch with Pitaka for a replacement. Their support is good.
How would you compare this case to the Enzo Aramid by Spigen?
And how would you rate its protection to fall/impact?
BTW, what are you using for wireless charging?
The Enzo case is let down by it's lack of magsafe.
what about the other half of the question, the fall/drop protection...? @@MichaelsTechTalk
@@balhazer They're both similiar, they have TPU shock absorbing bumpers.
Does the cut out have enough space for a lens protector tho?

@@MichaelsTechTalk thanks mate, I'm sorry that I didn't noticed it earlier.

Hi, i would have no idea what the issue could be. You could have a faulty button, you need to speak to pitaka about it for sure.
@MichaelsTechTalk thank you mike,I did talk to pitaka ceo, I sent them a video with my problem, they going to send me a replacement. Thank you

Which lens protectors did you try? Spigen? Flolab?
@@xI-Chas3r-Ix Spigen works, needs a bit of a gentle push and then sits right.
THIS is the case we wanted! Excellent video and appreciate the tag to let me know! I am buying this case for sure.
Glad it was helpful!
Can the edge panel be assigned to one of the buttons?
Surely that would be less easily to access other than just swiping it?
What if your phone is locked? Will it still go directly to the app or biometrics first?
No the NFC buttons won't work when the phone is locked. That would be a massive security issue lol
When you were holding your phone to record it, it was slightly tilted, maybe it would be better if you lay on flat? Just a suggestions. cool concept of this case tho!
Thank you
Understood. I was struggling to read the display. In hindsight i should have just done a screen recording.
I heard the extra buttons don't work if the phone is locked.
That's correct, they are NFC buttons.
Can you set the button to take screenshot?
You can indeed!
Will this affect nfc payments?
No it doesn't. I've used Google Pay with no issues.

It's it a fingerprint magnetic?
Yeah it does pick up fingerprints, sadly all aramid cases do. But a wipe with a microfiber cloth soon sorts it.
