These screen protectors vary in thickness from .30mm (ESR) to .71mm (Torras), which can effect touch sensitivity, durability, and lip clearance above the screen. The thinner protectors can be more fragile while providing better sensitivity and clearance. The thicker protectors are usually tougher but can negatively affect sensitivity and make the case lip effectively shorter.
How do you rate this screen protectors, since you haven’t mentioned at all how much of the visible part of the screen is covered by this screen protectors with black borders? Next time when you do a test, open the front facing camera and see how much it covers the white lines on the side. That’s a proper test and one that everyone is looking on the new 16 Pro Max, since display has thinner bezels and all screen protectors have thick black borders that covers part of the screen and bleed light on the side of it.
It would be nice to see a responsiveness test for these. I purchased the ESR protector for my 16 Pro Max after watching this video, and the typing experience was absolutely terrible. I had to take it off after just one day of use.
I would've liked to have seen how each screen protector fits on the phone. I've tried screen protectors from Anker, Spigen, and ESR on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Each either don't cover the whole screen (which can be seen when viewing the Camera Control UI) and others have sharp edges, which matters if you're not using a case or using a case with an exposed bottom. I've given up on screen protectors for this phone until I see one that fits without covering part of the screen image or leaving it exposed.
@ I meant with the screen on to show the coverage. You showed the screen protectors with the screen off, which doesn’t really show anything except lack of air bubbles. Sorry for not being more clear.
@@ddlevineI can’t understand why these UA-camrs never check for edge coverages, rainbow effects, thickness, and touch sensitive… What exactly are they reviewing then? This is just a screen projector application ASMR.
@@Tensilver-in9xzI know you didn’t ask me either but I wouldn’t myself. It has no coating so it fingerprints right out the box. I personally use ultraglass screen protectors and I love them. Easy to install (unlike spigen and mous) So no issues there
Great video Michael, thank you! If you could say, which one felt best in your opinion when swiping around? I tried spigen once but it has really sharp edges and feels very uncomfortable.
I agree with you on that, the Spigen’s edges are sharp. I’m not just saying this because they sponsored the video but the Torras is what i’m using currently and its edges are smooth. I would rank the ESR 2nd and the Spigen 3rd.
The ESR protector has a visible band at the bottom which has clearly not made contact with the screen, maybe the protector moved when you applied it...
Ordered the Caudabe Sheath for my 16 plus after watching and hearing about them on your channel. Ordered the Torres screen protector also, love the new dust catchers that companies are doing now. Can’t wait for my Caudabe case it is a first for me.
I’ll be honest, i’ve never used them. Good cases usually provide good enough protection for lenses. But if you’re rocking your phone case less i would recommend using them.
@MichaelsTalkTech. Read that you are expecting to review the Flolab screen protector. Interested to see what you think. I have a 15 pro max. My ranking would be. 1A. Flolab , for the anti glare and no distortion when wearing shades. 1B. Torras, it is top notch. Had only been using the Torras about a month before trying the Flolab. I liked the Torras so much that I really didn’t want to take it off but thankfully the Flolab was worth the switch. If asked for a recommendation I would also recommend the Torras first because of price and the Flolab being on the expensive side. 3. ESR 4. Spigen

Yes but screenprotectors with black edge is just mentall
Yes, I usually go for the Vionentus screen protector for my iPhones, so far so good.
Nice!!!

This is the second time I have ordered ESR armorite, I am more than satisfied. Previously I used the one from Spigen, excellent too.
Nice!! Yeah my top 3 is the Torras, ESR & Spigen.

I’m using the ESR screen protector at the moment went on first time no bubbles
Nice!!! You're a pro!! 💪
Would you recommend the ESR? 3 for 16 dollars seems like a good deal
@@Tensilver-in9xz if I wouldn’t recommend it, I wouldn’t have featured it in the video

You sure it's not a reflection from the overhead lights? lol
@@MichaelsTechTalk No, as I've seen similar on another reviewers channel, the retainer must allow movement as does the install tray..

Try review brand HODA 3D Curve screen protector for iphone 16 pro max, thin black frame
I'll check it out. I also have the Flo Lab on the way as well.
I love Mous cases but I'm with you on the screen protector, they are really not great to fit. The only reason I have one is cause I got it for free
Understandable!
yes screen protectors are a must have for me!!! just subscribed 😊😊
Thanks for subbing!
@ no problem !!😌
Not many people show the instal and strentgh of a screen protector, real good video M
Much appreciated!
Nice video Michael nice installation on all . I always use the Torras 😊
Thanks Mary! Yeah the Torras is great!
How do you Feel about Camera Lenses Protectors?.
I’ll be honest, i’ve never used them. Good cases usually provide good enough protection for lenses. But if you’re rocking your phone case less i would recommend using them.
Those that cover the lenses (as opposed to those that surround the lenses) degrade image quality.
I think the last phone I put a screen protector on was an iPhone 3GS
Interesting.. any reason in particular you don't use them now?
@ I just don’t see any benefit to them. I’ve never had an issue with modern phone screen getting all scraped up.
Hi. So the winner? Spigen?
Sure if that's the one you like.
Torras top notch diamond shield 3D for me is the best im loving it 👌🏻
Nice!!!
