On a scale of 1 to 10 (1= not important at all, 10 =extremely important), how important is how you FEEL about a place (city, state, or country) in your decision to move there? Comment below!
Thank you for sharing. It helps me dream of my plan to move overseas again, love the train station because it reminded me of my trips while I lived in Europe, Fast Trains etc.
Bonjour et merci, Patricia! We arrived in Perpignan yesterday by train from Toulon. We were walking with our suitcases when we noticed a woman putting recyclables in the trashcan at the Perpignan train station. She then stopped her car and asked if we needed a ride. "Where you go?" We continued to be overwhelmed by French generosity and kindness. On the train. In Marseille. In Toulon. And now here in Perpignan (Jan 1-31). We met wonderful people on the river walkway, Av. du Palais des Expositions, occasionally asking if we were walking the right way. Today we will walk towards the town center to have coffee and breakfast, hopefully a short walk from our Airbnb near 5 Avenue du Palais des Expositions. Merci. Dean et Cindy
Bienvenue en France. How wonderful you are being received so nicely here. There is the one euro bus here that can take you different places. Should you venture to Ceret on it let me know ahead of time so we can have a coffee.
@@PatriciaBrooksCourageCatalyst Bonjour Patricia Excellent! We will check out the 1 euro bus. Cindy and I will let you know once we have a schedule; maybe next week? Merci. Dean et Cindy
@@PatriciaBrooksCourageCatalyst Bonjour Patricia. We are thinking about taking the bus to Ceret tomorrow. The bus from Perpignan will arrive in Ceret around 11 or noon. Are you available tomorrow, Jan 7th? I know it's only a day's notice. Merci. Dean & Cindy
I leave in Senlis, near Chantilly: In the south, I already knew Narbonne and Carcassonne that I love, but I can see that Perpignan is also a really very beautiful city! Once, I visited Dali's house in Figueiras (Cataluna). It is absolutely incredible!
I've visited some new places here in the south. I've been to Narbonne and a couple of weeks ago I visited Carcassonne. Last week I took a friend to the Dali Museum. It is, as you said, incredible!
Another great video, thanks. After watching, my wife bought the Kindle version of "Live a Bold Life". We're both looking forward to reading it. We absolutely agree that you must have an affinity for a place to really feel at home. Sometimes the feeling is there instantly you set foot in a place, other times it grows and sometimes you even lose it and feel you need to move on. Just curious as to why you moved on from Perpignan? (If it's in the book, don't tell me, I'll read it!) Keep making the videos!
Thank you for purchasing my book. I hope you both enjoy it! Agreed sometimes a place grows on you or that feeling changes. This makes sense, as we evolve how we see and sense things can change too. I moved from Perpignan because I could not find the neighborhood that felt right to me. So I started looking at smaller towns/villages. What I've come to know about myself is that I'm not really a city person.🙂

Thank you. I'm so happy you enjoyed it!
France has so many towns and villages; each with their own personality. Thank you for sharing these beautiful videos from Southern France.
Oh, thank you Cynthia. I'm happy you are enjoying them.

I really liked this video because I felt like I was actually in the city. I enjoyed seeing the 'regular' everyday sights.
Thank you! I'm happy you enjoyed it. I hope to do more of these types of videos going forward.😀
