600 is absolutely the right price for something like this. The tech is mature now, so they can’t add an early adopter tax on it. You don’t get a screen, accessories, or anything. I think this is a really solid product for the price, only gripe is not having a larger SSD at base. If this had 1TB at base it would be the only non laptop computer I recommend for people in my life who don’t want to game.
also the RAM, I won't complain if they priced the storage and ram upgrade in accordingly. Apple really know how to screw the customers. ita will cost extra $800 for upgrading to 32gigs and 1tb🤷♂️.

M4 mini will be a benchmark launch for apple that people wanna see such launch again and again. Similar to Xbox or ps4 generation leap launch happened in console space.
"this is what the Mac mini should have always been"... In 2010 the old design was pretty groundbreaking. Intel NUCs were not yet a thing... and there was a DVD drive in it. Did Apple wait too long to update the design? Probably... but at least they waited until they could make the redesign a big deal.
Get an external ssd or upgrade the nand chip to 2TB(in china the upgrade may cost you around $200-$250 or maybe less) if that kind of service is available in your place.

@@legacyShredder1Can you please make a video comparison between the base and the pro models in terms of fan noise (idle, medium workload, full) and thermals? That’s the only thing that holds me from pulling the trigger for the Pro version
@@legacyShredder1 The speed difference was significant in the previous generation, but that's not the case anymore. There are 2 NANDs on the chip this time, so it won't be anywhere near as slow as it was previously.
I was going to buy the m4 with 16/512 configuration but than saw Best Buy has the m2 pro 16/512 configuration with the same exact price.
Could you please add some games as benchmarks next time?
Gaming is the only thing holding me back from switching to Mac.
Even though it’s evident that using the new M4 Mac mini will be superior, could you compare the Mac mini Pro M1, Mac mini Pro Max M1, and the base M4 model to see the differences?
M4 Pro 24GB vs M4 32GB -> The most asked question on reddit and what I’m also interested in!
Can you make that happen?
M4 Pro is a beast for GPU power and has more cores, so easily a M4 Pro 24GB
I was wondering the same and went with the PRO 24GB.
M4 Pro only if you need more GPU power and if you need more CPU cores. If not the M4 will be fine.
Can you use it on your m1 iMac? Just using it as a monitor/speaker?
Little late to this review... but what was the max number of chrome tabs allowed between the machines.... LOL.
Can we please test the base mac mini with upgraded storage speed.. esp 512GB and 1TB?
My BlackMagic disk speed test shows Read 3415 MB/s and Write 3013 MB/sec for version 16GB/512GB.
@ thank you :) which means M4 pro’s SSD module is indeed a different speed
also will be looking forward to similar video to this one with the mini M4 Pro ! as you mentioned at the end of this video . ❤
In all fairness, the pc i'd recommend to my uncle is g3 mini that i can get for $50 and linux, but for me on the other hand...yes looking forward to an m4 pro benchmark comparison.
Imagine someone puts liquid metal on the M4 Pro mini lol what a fever dream
Run it in "high power" to see if it still throttles
I have a question for you: Someone said their M4 Pro Mac Mini was getting very hot, so they returned it, fearing it would burn itself up. Do you have any thoughts on this?
rapid thermal throttling due to low cooling, not recommended.
Why not use an external SSD?
also the RAM, I won't complain if they priced the storage and ram upgrade in accordingly. Apple really know how to screw the customers. ita will cost extra $800 for upgrading to 32gigs and 1tb🤷♂️.
Esto te lo mandé por el nuevo mini Mac M4 que es absolutamente impresionante y conveniente! Si Masae y Sagé desean lo mejor y más barato de Apple esto si es muy impresionante!
With M4 Pro it would be the ultimate Video. So i dont can choose perfectly which one to buy 😢
Can you hear the fans on the M4 Mac Mini when running the Stress Tests ?
Nope, not at all. Dead silent the entire time pretty much. Fan only runs at around 2200RPM. Can't hear it at all over every other noise in the room like heater
I don’t really care much for the smaller size. The old one was already small enough, plus I have a matching dock that now won’t fit the new size.
M4 pro vs M1 pro please!
.
Macbook Pro 16" M4 pro VS Macbook Pro 16" M1 pro
What do i need to run Civ7 at top speed is what i need to know…..
Bloody hell that speaker is really good.
Can you make a video on m4 mini that either it can work on 10000mah powerbank ?
M4 mini will be a benchmark launch for apple that people wanna see such launch again and again. Similar to Xbox or ps4 generation leap launch happened in console space.
"this is what the Mac mini should have always been"... In 2010 the old design was pretty groundbreaking. Intel NUCs were not yet a thing... and there was a DVD drive in it. Did Apple wait too long to update the design? Probably... but at least they waited until they could make the redesign a big deal.
Please add on LLM benchmarks tokens per seconds
Value? Apple $400 to upgrade to 1TB, or retail, $111 for A Samsung 990 Pro that is more than twice as fast.
Don't act like you cannot buy an external SSD
Get an external ssd or upgrade the nand chip to 2TB(in china the upgrade may cost you around $200-$250 or maybe less) if that kind of service is available in your place.
Need the same test for base m4pro mini
How about a ryzen mini pc. Some have 20% faster processors and 4x more ram for the same price???
the amount of value is good, until you want 256gb extra ssh and 8gb extra ram, boom.. 400 ish usd in my country
Then, the value just disappears. For future proofing it is essential to upgrade atleast the RAM. 🤷♂️
I think the M3 is the real stop gap chip, M2 has been widespread throughout apple products
Love content dude! Some of the best on UA-cam!! 🤙
Thank you Sir!
This M4 Mac Mini is an absolute deal
