Chennai metro is forever on expansion mode crisscrossing all across the city and pushing borders. Chennai metro still comes third to Chennai's oldest rail network - the Suburban and then the MRTS. Chennai has the advantage of interlinking all the 3 local rail line networks at important junctions like at airport and central railway station. For the same reason of having an effective suburban train service, metro rail in Mumbai is delayed.

Length is less in Bengalur metro, Look at Hyderabad metro they started after Bengaluru and overtook Bengaluru. Hyderabad metro stations(especially MGBS metro station) are as good as international airport and I feel am in different world.
They are expanding and extending the network in Blr now. I have'nt caught an experience of Hyd metro yet. Will do it shortly.
Hyderabad metro is 69 km as on date. In next 10 years it will be adding 200 km.

Nice video. Metro train network length should be increased in every city to cover all the suburbs and outskirts of every city. It's a great & quality transport mode. It would be great, if all Tier - 2 and Tier - 3 cities are brought under Metro network. This will in future and now also will reduce the India's dependence on import of oil. Indeed a great achievement and a great mode of quality transport which is fast, reliable and luxurious.
