Due to depression meds, i gained 90 pounds in the course of 7 month and officially become obese, my final weight being 260 pounds. Now that i’m mentally healthy, I realize that being obese is a torture, i feel HORRIBLE every single day and only wish one thing, be healthy again. I am currently “running” 1h every two days and of course eat way healthier, so i’m down to 240 pounds ! The journey is long but i will never stop. Stay fit !
My husbands Nana was an amputee. She had one of her legs underneath the knee removed after her shin and ankle spiral shattered. My husband was out grocery shopping with his Nana and his mom and when they reached the store both of their disability chairs were being used so they waited for one to become available. His Nana didn’t get to go out much so there was no way they were going to leave her in the car. Any 20 minutes go by when a COUPLE pulls up with both of the scooters and they were both morbidly obese and could walk just fine. My husband went over to grab one of the scooters when he saw that both of the scooters were DRENCHED in sweat. So much so that it was pooled in the seat. Neither one of them cared and when my husband asked if they would mind cleaning one of the seats off with the disinfectant wipes they provide to do so they both told him it wasn’t their job to do it. Just disgusting.
I feel bad for your nana .the couple should be held responsible to clean their own stinky sweat. me and mum clean the gym equipment for other people to use
I hated when people would complain about scooters not being returned and low on energy when I was bagging groceries. At least return the cart, somebody else will plug it back in.
I used to work at Walmart. I actively sabotaged the hog wagons. Never charged them, said they wouldn't hold a charge or said they had issues. The repairmen were always at our store scratching their heads. Get up and walk fatty!
I had an argument with one of these crazy fat idiots at a hotel in the Netherlands. A gigantic woman was before me at the check in counter and was arguing with the hotel staff. She was asking for a disability accessible room but she didn’t reserve it in advance. Hotels only have a few of these rooms and I happened to reserve one because I’m in a wheelchair. She was freaking out because she couldn’t get a accessible room but I could and she made it seem like the world was going to end. I shouldn’t get the room because she needed it more. The staff then told her right to her face that being fat wasn’t a disability so she could get a normal room or leave. I swear these body positive crazies are just insane.

@@TheMotherofTacos luckily for the emts the whale was banned from the hotel since she got so mad in the end that she ended up throwing anything she could get those fat fingers on. She tried attacking an employee but they literally just stepped aside and she fell flat on her face. At that point security arrived and from what I heard from the employee later on it took her half an hour to get her ass up while she cried like a baby because nobody would help her get up. Ahhh sweet revenge.
Yup, and she’s like 25 years old!!! I can’t imagine ever allowing myself to get that out of shape that I couldn’t breathe. Sure, it’s easy to get fluffy and put on a little weight, I put on like 10 lbs about a year ago. Then I saw a picture of myself with little clothing on and was like, ‘damn…is that what I look like?’ And put a stop to it. It IS possible to build good habits, it does require effort though. Much easier to allow yourself to balloon up to 6X and become an obese influencer though. 🙄 When she drops dead at 40, will it all have been worth it? Doubt it.

I have been censored for saying I disagree with certain political movements recently and don't trust UA-cam to be honest with it actually posting) suggestion for if you want a free ticket for the plane.....why not go 1st class to have the extra room? Not spend the same and demand 2 or 3x as many seats?
I swear this is like a school assessment I did in English class a few years ago, you have to come up with an idea for the world to change and do a speech on it for a few mins, she’s just taking something a 13 year old would come up with in a panic to get the assessment done and being serious about it
I think her size is absolutely a reflection of her attitude/mindset. She seems to focus on her immediate gratification regardless of the impact on her and others
Indeed, it's because she's a drug addict. (Food is a drug). She abuses her drug of choice, in this case food. It's no different than any other addict. The lies, excuses, and delusions are all the same. For some reason we treat this differently than other addictions, and we shouldn't. It would be no different had she abused some other drug, and not food.
It's crazy that girl said "not weakness or defeat, living life to the fullest" handicap is a weakness, and there are so many people who wish the only way thing they had to do was lose weight and they could walk again. She could stop this at any time..she doesnt. Its mind blowing. Its sad, my heart goes out to them because they don't see it. I can't imagine being surrounded by people who didn't love me enough to tell me all the things I may not want to hear but still needed to. I can't imagine.

@yepyepmusic that's the hard part, the psychological warfare one goes through, but we all go through psychological warfare in one way or another, everyone does. If it's not obesity it's drug addiction, cheating, abuse-everyone has experienced it. When you have zero victories you give up, you need the tiniest of victories to preceed successfully not a stream of unrealistic goals never met that will haunt them the rest of their lives, stunt their growth, and stunt their progression. You made it, though, because you were lucky enough to be surrounded by those who cared about you and you didn't flinch at constructive criticism, which has never hindered anybody, and you're thriving! Always remember that, they may have pushed you & brought it to your attention but YOU did it and you had the power to do it all along, you always did amd you always will, amd now that you know, and you've claimed these victories, you'll always be able to.
I like the way she acts like she’s concerned about disabled people, not just morbidly obese. Just to add some sympathy to her demands. Being fat is a choice. Disabilities aren’t.
Exactly. I am disabled and these fat narcissists with their self-inflicted problems have nothing in common with me. It doesn't stop them taking over the disabled movement though.
Her whole toilet seat idea literally makes it inaccessible for the non disabled as well!!! Short people and children need to be able to use the bathroom too.
What she's doing is no different than demanding smoker acceptance, and saying that everything needs to change and include ashtrays. She's demanding all this effort be made for her, while putting no effort into changing herself.
A lot of the time she’s acting, she pretends that she’s doing all this for “other people” when in reality she just wants reassurance that it’s totally fine to be 25 and need a tube in your nose to breathe while sitting down! 👍
As an architect...... This woman is absolute bonkers for requesting such changes to be made on the whole structure of a whole building that *is already projected to accomodate people of a good variety of sizes, mind you* just because she wants to. She doesnt realize how much space and even how many rooms would be sacrificed just for her demand of wider hallways and elevators alone The only reasonable demand she makes are the ones related to the shower heads and the support bars, because those can actually be used by people on wheelchairs and other physical disabilities
@SomnusLucisCaelum southwest airlines buckled to her demands and made her second seats free. At the cost to all other customers and caused a woman and 2 children to be stuck in a foreign city with no luggage and no hotel plans.
I'm surprised she didn't say removable shower heads, you know the ones that aren't fully attached but the actual head is connected to a handle and a tube connects it to the running water. Kind of like a hose but with a shower head. That would make her life a lot fatter. It would remove the need to turn. The extendable shower heads sound like it's on a slider to adjust for height. Also yeah, her demands are ludicrous. So much space would be eaten up by everything being wider. The bigger chairs without armrests would be so inconvenient for smaller people. I personally hate it when chairs don't have armrests. Like what am I gonna do? Let my arms flop to my sides when not using my phone?
at that point if you are uncomfortable everywhere you go, it might not be the world's fault - i heard a saying "if it smells like sh.t everywhere you go, check your shoe"
As a burned out dad trying to loose weight (successfully but not at goal yet) i will say there is a reason why these fat acceptance influences are young. That weight becomes miserable at the higher age. i watched my dad put on weight, like 10lbs a year for 1.5 decades till his weight got to the point where he couldnt walk or get off the couch without help. He was dead by 60 and only met his grandson once before passing. My mom said i look like i lost weight, i said "thank you honestly i dont want to end up like dad" which a sad thing to say
Wish you the best of luck loosing weight and keeping it off, That will be the hard part, it's easy to fall back into old ways after you achieved your goal. That happened to me, so even after reaching your goal don't loose control.
I blamed everyone and everything for my weight gain got to 400 pounds little over but now I'm down in 349 to 353 sometimes I fall off wagon but I keep pushing hard I wanna look and feel better I'm so happy for everyone on this journey that's pushing so hard it helps me keep going
@@lordarkay272 I was lifting and feeling strong but I was gaining muscle and loosing fat at roughly the same rate. I then started calorie counting and that made a massive difference. Plus, even if she cites the ADA and says they have to. They should cite the part where it says reasonable. Sure tables, what ever. But she really expects stores to widen hallways and elevators? spending counltess amounts of money in the off chance someone who is morbidly morbidly obese to fit through them.
Its about money after all. Especially in planes they will not remove half of seats to accommodate they will more likely remove few inches to squeez another seat. After all its about get most people as possible and iam wating for "standing" planes for short flights metro style.
Even the people who are her size are probably embarrassed and would rather just lose the weight than have accommodations that highlight their biggest insecurity.
Let's be frank, do you really think she had either the desire or capability to use the stairs? Maybe for her next campaign she' can demand that all stairs be replaced by escalators. And I mean all stairs everywhere.
Bro im gonna be honest with you, those workout machines you just listed can't support more than 150 kg on top of them, that shit is breaking in one week.
exactly! condoning this behavior will only make the situation worse. body positivity should encourage people to get healthier without making fun of or degrading them. they should be losing (or gaining if needed to) weight healthily and encouraging that positive behavior will want them to lose or gain weight as well. it’s so sad watching them kill themselves like that.
I was 155kg (341 lbs) back in the end of 2022 and my living comfort was very bad. I suffered from muscle sores everytime I woke up, my bones were weak from the weight and had a constant knee pains. I could exhaust myself by just walking 2 floors up the stairs and just talking for a long time caused me to be out of breath. I decided I have enough. No more fat-acceptance bullshit, I am 23 and don’t want to end my journey before 30, so I had to do something. It’s one day before Christmas, my weight now is 99kg (218 lbs) and I’m still overweight, but at least not morbidly obese. The comfort of life is amazing and I can’t wait to find out how it is to be in a healthy weight!
@@MothGuy69 yeah, the problem is that without constant gym sessions this strength will vanish, and to be completely honest I don’t enjoy bodybuilding at all, I prefer doing some cardio.
As a fat person, I hate fat acceptance. I’m actively trying my best to be skinny again. I’m in my senior year and I have not been skinny since like 5th grade. I’m not very fat but I am pretty unhealthy. I’ve been doing 2 and sometimes 4 mile walks a day. I mostly just do 2 and a half miles now. Sometimes it’s hard to resist eating whatever I want but I will strive to do my best and be healthy and a happier person!
I'm with you. I'm also losing weight. I refuse to be like my mother who was twice my size at my age. I can agree that people should be happy in their own skin but to a certain degree. Internal health should come first imo. I hit the gym 5x a week for an hour and it's rough on a FT work schedule but so worth it. Proud of you too! Keep it up, and keep it up for as long as you can! It's easy to fall into bad habits as you age. It's a lifestyle change!
And bigger hearses! In the Netherlands, the ovens of new crematoria are also getting bigger! And when a plus-size person needs to be cremated, the ceremony starts often very early! Let's say it takes a little bit more time......
@ApexSelva In my little rural town in the Netherlands, a single grave now costs € 7500!!! But then it is for eternity, not like for 30 years, which is common in most places. So a double plot would cost around 15000 euros!!!
I’m fat myself and I HATE that I am that way, slowly working towards not being that way though Wish me luck y’all! (Edit or smth) I just wanted to say thank you for all the comments, I got a treadmill a few weeks ago and I’m starting to lose weight! Also gonna go see a professional about weight loss too, again thanks for all the comments and hope y’all have a great week!
My best trick, was to find a calorie calculator online, and find out what you need in a day. The one I used also took into account my gym time, and gave me calorie goals for losing weight at varying levels. Once you have that information, just count calories. And NO, this is not something you'll have to do forever. Just do it for two weeks, to a month or so, and let those numbers be king. When I did this, I became aware of what I was actually eating, vs what it looked like I was eating, and it helped me rework my brain to eat better portions, as well as make better decisions. Now I only glance at calories, and know about where I'm at in a day, because it becomes trained in. You're goal shifts. Just make sure you check in with yourself from time to time, weigh in, and see where your progress is. I check the calculator once a week, and get a new set of numbers, as my calories needed drops as I lose weight. If your weight loss slows, then go back and count calories and focus on them for a week and it'll settle back in.
I used to support the body positive movement when the message was, "Love yourself by eating healthy and exercising, and it doesn't matter if you will get thin or will be a mid-size. Just take care of your body." It's really sad what has happened to the movement.
It originally was about supporting better accommodation and social acceptance for disabled ppl or those with like burns/scars to not be judged. The obesity promoters hijacked it so quickly that most ppl only associate it with them now. It’s infuriating.
Body positivity is about you and your body but as wee see whole thing got twisted and is about everyone else and how THEY need do the work. Its weird how relatively fast country shifted from hard core individualism to its everyone else job to cater to me mentality.
Yeah. Like, eating disorders like anorexia arent healthy, and neither is being a 6XL! There are 2 ends to the spectrum. Body positivity can be good, especially for people who are healthy and maybe aren't stick thin or buff, but when your body is literally killing you, theres a problem.
Thank you, I needed this today. I’m 30 pounds overweight and I needed a kick to get on the grind. 140 down and 30 to go. I wish good health for you all.

tips for plus sized travelers: go outside, figure out how to walk, don’t eat so much that the buffet has to tell you to leave, find out what a gym is, wander how your poor mother got you out of the womb, drink water not bacon grease, pray you don’t get horribly injured to the point of airlift because you already know you will bring the helicopter down, work out, and stop eating so much because your diet is causing world hunger. Hope you find this information useful for your travels.
Notice how she avoids saying "obese" ... she says things like "they need to accommodate all body types, plus size travelers, body diversity" 🤦 So if there's "nothing wrong" with being obese... then why does she avoid saying it 🤷
She's trying to suck everyone into her cause that aren't built average. At 6'4" there's certain things not built for me. Hotel toilet seats are often insufficient to my needs for instance. If there's tvs hanging from the ceiling in a passenger jet I have to duck to avoid cracking my head on it. But she does not represent me. I don't expect the world to change for me even if I can't change my height unlike the walking packing box who can change her weight.
This fucking attitude of "i deserve X, Y and Z" pisses me off more than anything, how can someone be so egotistical to think that they deserve to have the world bend over backwards for them?

I had a small little hoodie business back in my uni days because I was broke and it only went up to XL because anything above that costs too much money to maintain. I have to pay more for more textile and also for more fabric paint/products to have the hoodie made for bigger individuals. I was called a fat shamer and they DEMANDED that I make more sizes so I did. But when I charged them extra for it (because of the extra cost to make them), they then called me someone who profits from fat people (lmao??) and demanded that the price should be the same for every size .... I just closed it because of the backlash but honestly if they put this much effort on their health and nutrition then maybe they wouldn't be needing 5XL-6XL clothing sizes in the first place.
I make clothes (native American ribbon skirts) so I think about that kind of thing, the cost of buying more fabric for bigger sizes, they obviously don’t think of that. That’s why clothes from Torrid are more expensive. And some clothes from SHEIN price their clothes according to size too

healthy food here is extremely expensive. So is trying to get help for it. So are fitness studios sadly. I'm overweight sadly due to medical conditions and genes, and I'm trying to get healthier but it's difficult with psychological issues and no help whatsoever. I barely even eat one meal a day and it's caused more health issues as well. People generalizing this kinda stuff really don't help people get motivated, but I get where you're coming from. People who don't even WANT to get healthier and just head on over to burger king or mcdonalds or crap really shouldn't get exclusive treatment like free plane seats.
@@the_kombinatorThat’s not for everyone. Small children in poor areas can’t only get one meal. Plus, it takes a while to get used to not eating three meals per day on some people
The thing that bugs me is that she says she's on a mission to revolutionize travel for "all", but ONLY petitions for fat people, as if they're the only group that has issues with travelling. What about tall people? People in wheelchairs? Those of us with disorders? Other disabled people? No. Just fat people. The one group that is technically capable of making themselves less "disabled" but choose not to. The other groups I mentioned? Nothing we can do to change that.
Exactly! I myself have had a organ transplant, if anything this movement should be for people like me. I pointed this out to someone like this once after they dared to say we were the same, to which I said "You can loose the fat, I will always have my scar." Needless to say, they did not like that, lol.
Man-the pharmaceutical industry LOVES this “fat acceptance” movement! Bring on the prescriptions for blood pressure, insulin, asthma, pain management, and a multitude of other stuff…
The grab bars and raised toilet seats are used in elder care facilities Seriously if you have the mobility of a 95 year old while you're in your mid 30s(?) Than you seriously need to change something. Because you will most likely not live to old age. My friend is pregnant with triplets and she is getting large (and thats normal) however she does need help getting around. She is already speaking to her doctor about some exercises that she can do to help her be more mobile and maintain good blood pressure while also not endangering her babies. She has been swimming daily and using dumbbells. If a 7 month pregnant woman can find some way to exercise and manage her health than she could as well.
Her suggestions are typically accommodations needed for disabilities (toilet riser, grab bars). It’s telling me that she sees obesity as a disability, whether she recognizes it or not. My parents were morbidly obese my entire life. Dad in the 600lb range, mom around 400. Both unable to play games with me by the time I was 8. Both unable to attend most school activities or events to support me. Both disabled by the time I was 12. Now well into my 30s, the trauma, anxiety, and stress of normal eating is tearing me apart. This is the legacy she wants to leave to future generations.
I was actually going to say that. Some of these amenities aren't exclusive to weight. I had raised toilets after hip surgery, and bars are helpful for those with balance issues. And the shower head would be really helpful for those of us on the shorter side. And the weight limit thing is just a safety issue. They have those for elevators if I remember, correctly. Unless I'm misunderstanding her demands? I mean to some degree, I agree, she is being ridiculous. There's no way you can expect wider hallways, they would have to tear down the entire building -_-. But not all of her demands are outlandish. I could use a couple of those lol. (Some hotels already have some of these though, like for those with physical disabilities)
@@amandatlc You reminded me, I actually noticed the other day at my local Lowe's that they now sell grab bars in a variety of nice metal finishes to match other bathroom hardware. I'm like, damn, that's baller for when Grandma wants to stay in her home as she ages but doesn't want the ugly industrial grab bars that every place has. With a rapidly aging population in many parts of the world, there's no reason someone can't have an accessible bathroom and still have it look nice. Buuuuuut then the problem will be do the grab bars installed actually support the weight of a person this size? Like, she's not just asking them to install those aids - she's basically asking them to reinforce their walls too to support her weight. Then again, given the request to widen hallways... well...
@@TheMotherofTacos Oof, you're right. I never thought about that... I was just thinking about the balance issue itself, but not the actual support system. Having the bars is useless if they tear out of the walls upon use. 😬 Uhh... I'm nervous about the bars now. I'm not that large, but I'm paranoid. I'll just stick with my service dog haha. Also, is that true about the new grab bars? I don't go out a lot, so I didn't know they were doing that. That's awesome!
I'm 25 pounds down from 250, working hard. Growing my own veggies, cut out 70% of my bread, cut out 90% of my dairy (yes coffee cream, cheese, yogurt, I realize it sneaks in), cut out 90% of "added sugars", cut out 80% of red meat (that's just due to how it impacts me, I'm not on a rant against red meat). I've spoken to my doctor and not that this surprised me one bit, but he said "you will cut your life span down if you remain obese, let's get you out of being technically obese as a first goal". I think I will get to overweight in 25 more pounds (I'm 5'11" and muscular so for me 200 would just be "overweight" per my doctor). Right now I'm "stage 1 obese". I'm also pre-diabetic, which is scary and this motivates me. Oddly part of it was I needed to learn to eat more often, not more food, but more OFTEN. There is NOTHING POSITIVE about being fat. There is everything good about being compassionate and encouraging toward people struggling with weight, but glorifying being fat is insane.

Yeah but we also created this a bit by catering to all of these extreme minorities (I don’t mean racial but like all the trans stuff being changed when they’re less then .1% of the population, catering to people over 500lbs, changing reality for the mentally ill etc) when life norms are for the average and individuals need to deal with it and not expect life to cater to them. The only people that have to cater to these people is their moms

it makes sense our body only stores fat for survival it doesnt want to be this size and the more you weigh the more you burn carrying all of that weight thats why someone like her would have to be eating atleast 5-6k calories a day and that sounds more exhausting then working out.
3:58 I am severely underweight, and I still find elevators crammed with like 4 people in, and I don't have that big of a personal bubble, so I think that might just be that elevators near me are tiny
I am blind. I was told by mother this: "you have to adapt for the world around you, the world won't change for you." These people would do well to learn that.
Preach. Knowing there are people with actual disabilities and actual hardships, this is just hard to watch lol. Tik tok addicts could learn a lot from your momma 🤘🏼
My mum would totally beat their way too coddled asses! If she was not willing to coddle and pamper me because of my disability, goodness knows what she'd do to them! I'd love to hear what hard hitting lectures she'd give to those people
It’s a cult and if she tries to get healthy they will turn on her so fast. They are not her friends. They where will they be when she is bed ridden or in the hospital? Gone. She can only do this for a few more years until she’s to Ill
I have social anxiety. These are my demands: - All seats in public areas to be a minimum of 5 feet apart - All airlines to give me a free seat on my right and another on my left so I don’t have to sit next to anyone - All elevators will now only allow one person at a time - All buses will now only allow 20 people at a time …. Do you see how fricken R-tarded that sounds?
As a fellow lifelong anxiety sufferer, I can honestly see how ridiculous that sounds, too! (Thank goodness we all understand sarcasm, but your comment was hilarious because that's what I would "demand," too). 😅😅😅
only cool thing about covid 19 and social anxiety was the 6ft distance requirements everywhere. The markers everywhere on the ground made it clear not to get close to me. Wearing masks was also cool cause nobody had a reason to interact without noticing other's facial gestures
I'm actually gonna give the benefit of the doubt on this one. Metal frames are tough but I've had several wooded frames break for me at 99 KG. Bed frames are pretty weak against long term stress.
The smallest elevator ive seen had a capacity of 4 and wider showers would be nice but thats just because i have long arms and when i want to wash my hair i dont want to smack my elbows against the walls
Being a short and skinny person, if all airlines were to hypothetically make all the seats big enough to accommodate “everyone”, I don’t think I’d be very secure being in a giant seat on a plane. Like… What if I slip out because the seatbelts weren’t tight enough?
So... let me get this straight. Because JaeBae is too lazy to exercise, eat healthy and lose weight... businesses must make expensive changes to accommodate for her size. So... let's just say these businesses make accommodations for her current size and weight but later she gains more weight. (This already happened because she mentions she was 4X and is now 6X.) Are these businesses still responsible for accommodating her every time she sizes up. Does she not see how fundamentally flawed her argument is? If JaeBae wants to be fat... she needs to live with the consequences that comes with making poor health choices.
Imagine having Gru sized chairs in restaurants limiting the amount of seats and making skinny people not be able to use the chair and just reversing the roles. Now normal sized people will struggle.
@@JailerGamerI'm only 5'1 (obviously can't change that) and say if restaurants had to make booths bigger to accommodate planet sized people, they'd be way too big for us shorties to eat comfortably. I'd be leaning forward from the seat just to reach the plate.
@@SpookySammyyeah they want room for their massive stomachs. Imagine the gaping crevice between the seat and booth. You could probably drop a plate down there. Their logic is making everyone else uncomfortable so they're comfortable.
I’ve had friends and even some family members who have been bound to a wheelchair due to physical trauma. And everytime I ask them, ‘What’s it like being in a wheelchair?’ They say it’s HELL. They say they wish they could walk around again, run, play sports, and just enjoy life to the fullest without being handicapped. But they can’t, and that brings them down a lot. They would do ANYTHING in the world to be able to walk again. Yet, here she is, self-inflicting this handicap onto herself, and acting proud of it. Refusing to better her own life and making a fool of the people who truly cannot change their life. She can. But she’s choosing not to. She sickens me. Edit: Thank you for sharing all your stories with me. You all are very strong, and I hope you all are doing well!
Yeah, I once had to be in a wheelchair for a few weeks in hospital. It was a grand day when I earned walking on my own two feet for more than just the trip from bed to washroom and back.
I have hip dysplasia and scoliosis, and had to be in a wheelchair for a couple of months back in 2016. I do confirm that it was hell. Just seeing people walk and not being able to do BASIC HUMAN FUNCTIONS is just so tiring. I’ve recovered now, and I’m thankful that I can walk, run and do other things again, and I hope your family and friends are doing ok.
Absolutely. As a disabled person, I can confirm none of us wants to be in a wheelchair. It is hell. I'd give anything to be 'normal', people like this girl make me so angry. I've had times when I've been given, perks shall we say (I got to be in front of a barrier at a small outdoor concert, so I could actually see) and people comment : omg she's so lucky! Like no, I'd rather be able to stand where you are thank you very much, but there are people out there who think it's fun and easier? He'll no, they need a reality check.
I had spine surgery and I can't run fast or even walk too much without having pain on my back and leg the day after. If I also sit for a little bit more time when I work Infront of my computer, it also get uncomfortable. If you are only fat and still have chance to change your life please do that. Btw, my spine surgery was because of accident lifting mu grandpa and I can't do things like I used to.
Due to some issues (scoliosis, arthtitis and mostly; a heavily damaged hip socket) I, in essence, have to pick between walking with a lot of pain (also whilst sitting, some whilst laying down) or no pain, but a wheelchair. I chose the pain... I also have to be careful to not gain weight because that'd tip into not being able to walk quickly. It's absolutely baffling to me how people eat themselves into this. Can't help but feel it's a mental disorder at this point, maybe addiction. Just something troubling...
She wants 3 seats on an airplane, what if she needs the airplane bathroom? I am not a fat guy I am average and for me they are already tight to just use the plane rest rooms.
A year ago I was 260 lbs. I didn’t realize how bad I had let myself get and I lived a sedentary and sad lifestyle. I began watching videos like these about fat positivity and all that and it motivated me to move in the complete opposite direction. I started working out, counting calories, hiking, kayaking, and just overall enjoying life to its fullest extent. Now I’m 175 lbs and I couldn’t be happier with how life is going. I’ve noticed a drastic difference in how people act around me and I feel good. I’m not as exhausted at the end of the workday. Being that heavy is NOT good for you, you aren’t healthy. If you think you can’t do it understand that it is possible, I thought I couldn’t but now I can’t believe i am who I see in the mirror. You’ve got this!
For real... these fat acceptance vids have been a great motivation for me to loose weight and get in shape. It's like the whole "don't think about elephants" thing.
This is so true. I've been working out and haven't lost any weight yet, but I feel energized, happy and my chronic shoulder pain is nearly gone. Also, I love my body a lot more now, seeing what it can do when I put in the effort.
I am obese. At the beginning of this year, I went on antidepressants and started slimming world. I have lost 5 stone since May, I now work out and swim on a regular basis, I still have a long way to go, but I wanted to say this. I feel so much better even being less obese, I think more clearly and faster, I feel less depressed, my own reflection disgusts me less and less, and I don't feel ashamed to go outside any more. I *CERTAINLY* would never expect the world to have changed for me, I'm in less pain, I get less indigestion, I breathe easier... the list does honestly go on... Body positivity is a good thing because it encourages people to not be as depressed as I was, but fat acceptance is a disgraceful thing. Never accept being fat, it's not easy but it *IS* doable.
Good for. ❤ it is hard work sometimes. But , oh so worth it. I’ve lost 74 lbs this yr. Now down to my proper wt. I feel so much better. My A1c was 11. Now it is 5.5. Keep up the good work.😊
I hate being fat. I went through an ED after losing my adopted mom years back. I ended up with binge eating non stop and gained a lot of weight and got large. I changed a lot and limited my food intake and lost weight. I even work a physical job which also helps. I dropped from a 4XL to a XL. I do have stretch marks from when I was large (never been pregnant). I'm glad I changed myself and only eat meals when I am only hungry. My menstrual cycles went from irregular to early menopause then to regular. I'm still a bit heavy and chubby. I hope to keep doing my best to keep myself healthy and exercising.
Body positivity is not about not caring. Its about being able to love yourself at all sizes while still trying to be healthy and not judging those that ARE healthy. These people just wanna be lazy leeches that do whatever they please.
Just like everything else, people like her have hijacked the body positivity movement and changed it to mean fat acceptance. When I see people like her having to take oxygen because they are so large it's actually really sad.
body positivity was supposed to be about things you cant change that are sometimes viewn as ugly, like stretch marks, certain traits like freckles, missing limbs, physical deformities etc that are a part of you and you cant change. not high weight, which you can definitely change. glorifying self destruction is body negativity if all. imagine some extremely underweight people doing the same, it would be unthinkable.
The people in this comment section represents TRUE body positivity. People sharing their stories of weight loss struggle, and others congratulating or encouraging them to keep going. What this girl is doing, does people more harm than good in the long run (pun sort of intended)
It really does. It is so cool to see so many people sharing their success! While not everyone has weight troubles everyone can relate to the struggle of changing ingrained habits that aren't good for us. Seeing how others have succeeded is inspiring and motivating for just about every person. One might say it's... Positive 😄
She had exactly two reasonable requests. The grab bars and adjustable shower heads in hotel showers, regardless of weight, grab bars are a great safety feature for everyone and adjustable shower heads accommodate people of different heights. And now, I'm really pissed that she included them on her list, because now those are going to be seen as some fringe fat acceptance bullshit things, rather than common sense safety improvements and a great convenience for people of different heights.
As another fatty (don't judge me to hard, I've lost 130IBS and still going) I promise we're not all like this. I can tell you personally I have always had opinion that I did this to myself through eating poorly and not being active enough, and if I'm uncomforable or "can't fit" places its a consquence of my own actions and have NEVER, EVER even had the thought cross my mind that I should be accomidated for my poor behavior. SERIOUSLY WE'RE NOT ALL LIKE THIS.
As someone who is fat, committing to my weight loss journey has been the best decision I have ever made. I have lost 20 kg (about 45 lbs). Back in January, I weighed 125 kg (275 lbs) and now I weigh 105 kg (230 lbs). I genuinely feel happy about my progress and I will continue to lose more weight.. tbh it's not easy especially in the beginning, but it's very satisfying to see those numbers go down on the scale. I really hope people who suffer from obesity get motivated to start caring about themselves to live healthier and longer life. Good luck
Well is it about just them? Or about those that are attempting to change as well? We maybe can't convince those that are coping as hard as those in the TikToks, but we can help others still.
It'll matter when they get heart attacks, and we will ignore it like we should lol They will choke on their own lies and stupid delusions sooner or later
I used to be going in the direction of fat acceptance, I was 230 lbs and in pain every day working a job in retail and could barely walk by the end of the day. I got sick of it one day and decided it was time to make a change. I am currently 165lbs at the moment after gaining some weight when I injured my ankle but I'm back on track to hopefully get to my ultimate goal of 120lbs. I can't imagine the pain they are in.
Damn, your goal is actually around the corner, when you can see the goal on the corner, thats when you need to keep pushing on, like you legit can become the person you want to be in the near future and leave behind all the shit you didn't like before about this lifestyle. Let's go you're doing good.
When you're scared to ride an elevator with someone because you genuinely think it could break....you're too fat. Because I do not trust ANY elevator with her on it.
most elevators have a standard weight limit of ten average humans without sustaining damage, though with the average size capacity of eight average humans, you likely couldn't get in with her anyway.
As someone who is plus sized because of an ed, I understand her struggle, it’s hard for me to lose weight, but it’s something I need to do, I don’t inconvenience others so I can have a second seat on a plane or something. It’s not acceptance is an inconvenience
Because of trauma in my childhood and having my food controlled all of my life, I gained a massive amount of weight when I moved and reached the 300's. And you can FEEL how much strain that puts on your body. I am in nursing school and trying to gently lose weight so that I don’t burn myself out- lost 15 pounds so far. The goal is to get to 200 and work from there. Wish me luck!!!
I'm so sorry you are struggling. Good luck! I hope it works out, trauma is a hell of a thing. I know it can be tough but at least you are trying to get healthier.
Since you seem genuine, look into Ray Cronise's ted talk on cold water. Long story short: Phelps eating 10k calories a day didn't add up mathematically to Ray. Ray did the sums on the thermal load of coldish pool water. Found nearly half the calories Phelps was burning were just to stay warm. Body MUST stay warm, so it is a bit of a hack to get into a fairly rapid deficit. As long as you don't eat to compensate, it can be faster.
Three seats is... a lot. I went onto an airplane for the first time ever last week--I'm fat. Very fat. I had such high anxiety about going on an airplane, I thought I'd need a second seat and that I'd hold up a full flight because of it. That concern kept me from traveling for my entire life. I missed out on so many cool opportunities because I was afraid of inconveniencing people. Turns out that I didn't even need a seatbelt extender, so I can't imagine how fat someone has to be to need THREE seats.
Im embarrassed after watching this. Im the first person you talked about. I was anorexic as a teen, bulemic in my 20s, moved to binge eating disorder in my 30s and in my 40s im fighting to get my health back. I dont want ANY of this. I want the world to cater to healthy sized people like it always has. If im uncomfortable its on me to fix it. And i say this as the mother of a disabled child who beat cancer and needs a whole lot more room and acomodations for her needs. We manage just fine without being victims of our circumstances.
I hope you get the help you need because that's one hell of a hard thing to do by yourself. All I can say is eating junk is never the answer and I believe you can recover
@@feather9115 moving to the country was the best thing I ever did. I know it's not a standard solution, but it's been an unexpected blessing. Fast food is over 35 miles away, Uber Eats and whatnot has never set foot near us lol and I grow a lot of our food. The only time I mindlessly eat now is when I'm on Xbox lol its not binging so it's still an improvement but is my last little goal to correct. Im down 120lbs from 10 years ago! 40 to go to my goal weight! Thank you both for the kind words. It's encouraging and appreciated! ❤️
Some of the stuff that’s a lot smaller, like movable tables. But even as someone who spend 70% of their time in a wheelchair the way she says some of this stuff is really odd
I was on crutches and a wheelchair when I broke my kneecap, being unable to walk for months straight and left with constant pain and a limp Is and was depressing beyond what I can put into words, I completely lost all my freedom and didn't want to be seen by the world. But when I did rarely go outside never did I use one of those scooters, even if I needed it. It's hard to see someone who can walk just fine taking the things meant for people who really need it.
Yup like 10 years back I suffered a high ankle sprain playing basketball at the Y. Had to get groceries the next day and I was on crutches, thought "Hey this is the perfect time to use one of those store scooters those things look fun" just to find out they are all being used. Ok, I thought, I'm sure those that need it like the elderly and disabled are using them so I didn't mind. Then I saw 3 morbidly obese people get off of the scooters once they were done shopping and waddle out to their cars on their own two feet lol
If you can walk why take it? I can’t imagine having a walking condition and not able to use those mobility scooters because other people who can walk fine took it 😢
My Walmart has these 200+ pounders in the motorized carts at all times. As someone who is working on losing weight, I want to yell at them, "Save your OWN life, get out of the cart and move your own body, you are harming yourself!" But I know I'd just get yelled back at. 225 down from 250, it's a start, it's a long road to walk. Not scooter. Walk, lol.

Just to add some sympathy to her demands.
Being fat is a choice. Disabilities aren’t.
Exactly. I am disabled and these fat narcissists with their self-inflicted problems have nothing in common with me. It doesn't stop them taking over the disabled movement though.
As a disabled person,thank you.
She doesnt realize how much space and even how many rooms would be sacrificed just for her demand of wider hallways and elevators alone
The only reasonable demand she makes are the ones related to the shower heads and the support bars, because those can actually be used by people on wheelchairs and other physical disabilities
I said the same thing. She can lose weight much easier (and cheaper) than all these places paying for expensive renovations to accommodate her.
Restaurants should charge for space rather than meal lolol
Like why should i give in to her demands when it was her choice to be obese?
That's not fat shaming, that's called "health issues"

100% spot on.

The grab bars and raised toilet seats are used in elder care facilities
Seriously if you have the mobility of a 95 year old while you're in your mid 30s(?) Than you seriously need to change something.
Their opinion is that they don't need to change anything. Everyone else does.
There’s no point even if they did give her free seats. If she’s on board, the plane isn’t going anywhere.
lmaooo
I'm sorry you have to deal with that
@@amandatlc You reminded me, I actually noticed the other day at my local Lowe's that they now sell grab bars in a variety of nice metal finishes to match other bathroom hardware.
0:14 that didn't age well LoL 😭😭😭
that's why he's always... two steps ahead😈

Imagine if she ever visits Japan the tiktoks she will post, haha!

She'd probably take up the entire "apartment" lol.

Messages like yours is motivation for all ppl with bad diets, big and small.. congratulations on your weight loss and health journey..
For real... these fat acceptance vids have been a great motivation for me to loose weight and get in shape. It's like the whole "don't think about elephants" thing.
❤
This is so true. I've been working out and haven't lost any weight yet, but I feel energized, happy and my chronic shoulder pain is nearly gone. Also, I love my body a lot more now, seeing what it can do when I put in the effort.
I'm literally 260 rn. Heaviest I've ever been. And now I'm on a weight-loss journey

I hope to keep doing my best to keep myself healthy and exercising.
nice job! i hope ur weight loss journey goes well!
I wish you luck on your weight loss journey.
Good luck to you. I know that you will reach your goals! ❤❤❤❤❤
Good luck on your weight loss journey! ❤
Cut carbs and sugar it will just melt away effortlessly. Speaking from experience.
@@xboww_ it was legit 4 years ago?
@@xboww_ i dont make those story vids-
body positivity was supposed to be about things you cant change that are sometimes viewn as ugly, like stretch marks, certain traits like freckles, missing limbs, physical deformities etc that are a part of you and you cant change. not high weight, which you can definitely change. glorifying self destruction is body negativity if all. imagine some extremely underweight people doing the same, it would be unthinkable.
This has to be the best definition of body positivity. Thank you!
And now, I'm really pissed that she included them on her list, because now those are going to be seen as some fringe fat acceptance bullshit things, rather than common sense safety improvements and a great convenience for people of different heights.
how... how does she actually sound like she's in the middle of eating a big mac whenever she opens a mouth?

As another fatty (don't judge me to hard, I've lost 130IBS and still going) I promise we're not all like this. I can tell you personally I have always had opinion that I did this to myself through eating poorly and not being active enough, and if I'm uncomforable or "can't fit" places its a consquence of my own actions and have NEVER, EVER even had the thought cross my mind that I should be accomidated for my poor behavior. Keep up the good work of taking off the weight. You should be VERY proud of yourself!
Well done! Keep fighting the good fight!
Good luck
Congrats and best of luck on your journey of self-realisation!

When you're scared to ride an elevator with someone because you genuinely think it could break....you're too fat. Because I do not trust ANY elevator with her on it.
I think I'd be scared to also.
agree, I'll take the stair
I would hardly trust her to get on a freight elevator.
most elevators have a standard weight limit of ten average humans without sustaining damage, though with the average size capacity of eight average humans, you likely couldn't get in with her anyway.
Im pretty sure any elevator doesnt trust her to be near them.

Hmm, interesting! The gym that I go to has a pool, so maybe I should give it a shot. I do also really like to swim!

All I can say is eating junk is never the answer and I believe you can recover

demanding a wider elevator seems like a bad idea
it’s not like making the elevator larger will make it able to lift her
Damn that was one of the only good roasts I have seen on this video
Never mind the wider elevator as soon as she steps in she's going to break the fricken cable line for the elevator
not to mention that if she wants wider elevators in every building then they’ll have to carve out the elevator shaft in order to expand the elevator
Most stores over here have a cargo elevator.
