Is there any way to adjust how much silence it leaves behind? Like I want long silences to be cut to be much shorter silence, but I don't want an instant jump. I also want very short silences to not be cut at all.

Seriously man it will cut out silence from video or audio & it will even turn your video into audio if you want to use OBS to make a podcast with super clean audio.Trust me there's nothing out there better than or equal to recut. Unless you wanna pay Kapwing $20 a month to do it.

I have videos that i want to keep silent areas where there is change in the video (when i make demo on my pc), but when the image is the same and there is silent then i want it to be remove. can i achieve that?
how can i do this whilst editing a podcast with multiple speakers? i dont want the clips removed, i just want all the silent sections muted, with a small fade in and out. currently I have to manually cut and mute each clip which is very time consuming. thanks

Don't say them. That would be a much harder thing than silence, since it can't just say "oh, the save form is flat, I'll cut that." It would need a list of a lot of common filler words AND some pretty sophisticated contextual awareness of what you're saying and how it fits with other things you say

That's why I bought Recut. It does exactly what you are saying and can export a timeline to Resolve in like 2 seconds.
