Flex seal it next time... Last 5 x longer and less messy than shoe goo and way better.. Also grab a set of rpm roof skids and body saver kit 👌
I got some rubber body washers I need to put on…I should definitely try using flex seal cause the shoe goo and drywall tape method takes way too long in my opinion.
@@RCKnockout yessir... I have 9 xmaxx custom bodies done and they all have flex seal and i bash em Hard... The rpm roof skids and rpm body savers will solve those body issues 🍻 stop by my channel sometime bro I've got the best custom xmaxx on UA-cam I do believe ☑ 🏆

Pull the window stickers and get some window tint paint. Be careful spraying it as it is super thin and has a tendency to run easily but tinted windows provide a scale look that is unmatched.
+1 to this comment. Tinted clear coat runs beyond easy.
Yeah I thought about doing that but I’ll probably just leave the window decals on…the way I bash the body will be ruined pretty quick anyways lol 😂
Beautiful red 👍spray the sticker with water and slowly squeeze it out with a scraper or prick the bubbles with a needle and warm them with a hairdryer... Sorry my English is not that good 😅
I understood you just fine 👍……yeah I should try some water or heat it up a bit and see if I can get the bubbles out
I think on the orange body the brighter bits look better than the darker bits. The red body looks bangin tho bruh. I just copped a raptor body for my xmaxx ima paint it black and I got a gold paint pen to do some offsets on it
Nice! Yeah the gold will look super cool with the black…..it’ll add a bit of contrast
@@RCKnockout I just spent 2 hours masking all the parts I want gold ima hopefully finish it up tomorrow. Maybe I’ll even kinda do what you do and turn this channel into a like RC vlog type channel. Any tips on like how to fix the grub screw issue? Where the screw keeps coming out of the pinion gear. I’ve thread locked it I’ve been through 3-4 different pinion gears and it always always ends up coming out so I’m scared to like really use it at full Throtte
@@dhgzebraa261 I still have the pinion issue…..unless you wanna use red high strength and high temp thread lock…..it might stay on then…..but if you strip the pinion and need to get the pinion off you’ll need a torch or some type of serious heat to loosen the thread lock
Same boat as you. My factory body is beat and looks horrid. Just ordered up a new body. I got a pre painted considering it’s my big basher obviously. I’ve got to many race truck body’s to paint lol. 4 as of right now.

@@RCKnockout Just remember “P is for Polycarbonate “ & you’ll be fine. the TS Paint will not stick. it will flake off once dry.

Almost every single rc body comes with an outside film that you peel off after you’re done. Prevents any overspray.

I like using the Duratrax Pearl White Paint……at least one can…..possibly two depending on how many coats you wanna do?

average job you need to practice more on your painting. Why not buying the color red that you want and I would have back it with white.
