Its great that on the chalk board Pierce starts drawing a story circle, like Dan Harmon used to write the show, but its mislabeled stuff like thesis and muslims
I miss when Pierce's character had more than one dimension.
He changed from a racist old man who’s sad?
@@Huyimon Well he's always been a bit of a sad racist man, but in seasons 1 & 2 he also had some upsides. For example his father son relationships with Jeff and Toy. At the end though, he was just a caricature.
@@dylantrainer1677 I don't think he ever lost that "father son thing", in fact i felt like he remained the most consistently same throughout the series. Racist old fart with a lonely heart. But if ya feel that way, can't blame you. Pierce was basically Chevy Chase acting like himself.
@@dylantrainer1677 Season 1 and 2's Pierce was written to be a part of the study group. From season 3 onwards, Pierce was written to piss off Chevy Chase. Dan Harmon is an A-hole who ruined the best show ever with his petty squabbling.
@@Joe-ft4qm both Chevy and Dan had issues and were too proud to resolve it, but too much blame Falls on Chevy sadly. Had it not happened so, we mightve had so much more greatness.
he was drawing the circle so perfectly and then completely botched it lmfaoo
i miss this pierce: vulnerable and awkward rather than nasty and hostile, endearingly foolish rather than casually bigoted, desperately grasping for friendship wherever it may be found.
I liked what they did with him in Season 2, because the group was often ignoring and ditching him since the beginning of that season. But, they gave him nothing to further his character in Season 3
He's not like that at all. He's racist, old and homofobic and that's what's make him funny.
he was always casually bigoted
@@pyramusk3264 The reactions the others had to his racism and homophobia was what was funny. Racism and homophobia on their own are not funny.
@@TechnologicallyTechnical Yes it is!
0:54 such a great line XD
1:11 Chevy Chase's squeaky delivery makes the line "She's UGly!", XD
It's also exactly the same line and delivery as he used in National Lampoon's Vacation way back in 1983 when trying to convince his wife that he wasn't attracted to the young woman he's been pursuing all movie and ends up skinny-dipping with.
This is when Jeff actually started figuring out who pierce was and started disliking him
Litteraly episode 2
@@alexmudkip5974 not figuretively? Are you absolutely positive?
@@dynestis2875 Did you see that Webster's recently changed the definition of literally to also mean figuratively?
I don't think he got him, pierce validated his pre conceived notions of him, but never figured him out until around the STD dance. Dislike? Yes, but didn't understand him as he came out of his shell later on in the season and respect him.
@@dynestis2875 ... it would also work as “literally” in the original meaning tho... not sure what you’re talking about
It's really interesting to look back on how desperate pierce was nearer the start of the song, even paying Britta to switch cards so he could be with Jeff.
One of the saddest scenes that shows this is when he's singing along and smiling in the crowd during Vaughn's performance of "Pierce you're a B." He's so desperate to be noticed that he's willing to go along with a song critisizing him in order to be like the others.
1:41 I don't care who you are, this is perfect physical comedy
Haha yah, "slapstick" comedy. One of the few things Chevy is best at in this show
To me it isn't, I have several of those on a regular basis
First we must ask ourselves, what is a story?
I always lose it when he draws that circle on the chalk board
I love how the natural "occurrences" behind the scenes only add to Pierce's character and dynamics in the scenes. Everything about this show is fun and inventive. #andamovie
1:54 extremely based from Pierce
Hell yeah Pierce

“Really really specifically, surprisingly and gratuitously critical of Israel.”
O no
Critical of Israel is not critical of Jews!
Said the neonazi
But for real Israel be doing some crazy shit (colonizing Palastina, bombing hospitals, drawing out conflict) and getting away with it by yelling antisemitism
@@freddovich7925 Very one-sided opinion. The other side isn't peaceful either. Launching rockets unprovoked and using human shields. You try to point the bad side of Palistinians and get lectured on Islamophobia.
@@bodhisattva9762 so what is your point? I'm not being one-sided, just saying that Israel does bad stuff. "Palestinians do bad stuff too!" Yes, I know, that doesn't mean Israel has full rights to kill children or beat protestors or colonize land.
as he should

Pierce Jeff Troy and Abed are the A-Team. Discuss.
Not much to discuss, you just plainly don't like beautiful women.
Honestly I wouldn’t spend more than 1 minuet with pierce in a room alone
Season 1 Pierce was OK but the later seasons? Nah
I’d hang out with season 3 Pierce

Talking like robots was intentional. They're taking a Spanish class for an easy, but required college credit, and they're putting in the minimum effort. They learned enough to get a passing grade, fluency is not important.
The best part about pierce- he was critical of israel
Its a shame Dan Harmon's drunken ego ruined this character
