Our reviews give you two perspectives. Jakub takes the perspective of the car enthusiast, while Yuri represents the interests of the general consumer. You won't find details about engine compression ratios here, instead you'll have real world opinions on what it's like to drive and own cars.

I love that rewinding satellite radios is still one of Yuri's ultimate decisions in reviewing vehicles in 2019.

I'm shocked anyone would give a damn about rewinding satellite radio, I really am.

I think Yuri is a shill for sat radio. Checks coming in 💰

Exhaust tips looking like hdmi ports.
Miles Free Honda Civic looks more like a HDMI the Denali’s exhaust looks like a micro usb
😂
Yessa
Hahahaha Can't unsee THAT
😂
“Didn’t try hard enough” should be GM’s motto 🤣
Rob Bird Honestly, GM has the money to actually design stuff properly, but they don't.
The side view of Denali is awesome to me
The camera angle at 4:10 is incredible!
$79,000 for a interior that looks absolutely horrible. Spent more on chrome and Denali badging
How do people afford these! My household income is 135k and I still wouldn't shuck out that kind of money on one vehicle
Shawn Warnick people with poor credit take out massive loans...
It's even nicer in person though. It's big as shit and I sat in one and they're extremely spacious and roomy on the inside. I'm a Ford guy but the interior color was like a hazelnut somethin' color and let me tell you, that interior is not plain. GM did a great job with this generation on my opinion.
Hopefully it comes standard equipt with a kitchen and a shower for that price
@@GhostOfAMachine lol right. I'd get me a Ford F150 Limited tho. It's the truck of my dreams. I had one that was a blue 2014 with blue seats in it. Which is the only truck ever that costs more than GMC Denali. But it's totally worth it. Love F150 Limiteds.
That Swiss army tailgate tho
So funny the "Interstellar" effect on the camera 3D render LOL

I did that too when I went to Ottawa.
Thanks for calling out those awful gauges. The interiors on the GM products right now are not up to snuff compared to everyone else, especially Ram. GM has to update that stuff. The Cadillac gauges look like they were taken off a 94 Chevy Lumina or something! Great video as always, fellas!
"Right now"?!? Gm=worst interiors ever always!
I'm looking at buying a Canyon Denali and you guys are the only reviewers that actually get into the functionality of how car play and android auto works. This is why you guys are the best!
I’m a Ford man but I’d take the new RAM 1500 over any other truck that’s currently available including the F-150.
I simply cannot deny that they got some special secret sauce with that new RAM, it’s got the prefect looks and the best interior without a doubt. (My opinion)
The F-150 is starting to look very dated now, not so much the front end but rather the side profile and the rear, it’s way too 2001 square and boxy where as the new RAM is bulky and modern looking from every angle.
Matthew Gerlag I used to be a Ram guy until I got a job at Dodge. The new rams rattle and creak on the interior. They come from the factory dinged and scratched so our detail department would have to detail every new truck. As far as drivetrain the transmission has a failsafe module that fails very often (its a safety module so no one can hack your car via Bluetooth). Im sure by 2020 model they will get the bugs out of the truck but a 2019 is not reliable at all. People used to bring them in with less than a 1,000 miles for check engine lights and airbag lights. Plus that new 12in screen is very touchy especially if you try to stuff fast it freezes up
Needless to say I would go with the tested and true f150 specifically a lariat model
@@galvanizedcity4981 my Ram doesn't rattle at all nor does it have any issues. I used to work at a Ford dealership and we had the entire interior door panel fall off a F150 once because they never installed the hardware. I currently manage a fleet of GM trucks and they are an absolute shitshow
@D R that's why Toyota outsells them, oh...wait.
Matthew Gerlag agreed. Got rid of my Ford and into a 19 Ram 1500 and I love everything about it
Great Video, I cross shopped RAM Ford and GM ended up with a RAM 1500 limited. Best interior by far, 12" screen, air ride, ramboxes and a panoramic roof. All things that neither GM truck offers, easy decision for me!
Luke Choudek poor decision. Air ride suspension is extremely unreliable and the panoramic roof has not been safety tested. GM won’t use the panoramic roof until it has passed safety testing. Leading cause of death in pickup trucks is single vehicle rollover. The ram is 23 on the list of deadliest vehicles in North America. The ram HD holds top spot most unreliable vehicle in North America for 2018. The problems I have seen on the internet with the new RAM are astounding.
@@jaxinalexischarlie4883 please provide data. I live in Minnesota, it was -30f last week no problems at all. I haul a 30ft enclosed trailer air, suspension is far superior than leaf or coil sprung. Not to mention easy hitch/unhitch with out leaving my seat. As far as the sunroof I need to look into safety ratings, but Ford does it as well. It must pass NHTSA ratings. Right now your opinion couldn't mean less.
The only issue I have so far with my 19 Ram limited is the passenger step will not deploy when the passenger door opens (but it will for the rear passenger) which is likely just a sensor issue and still under warranty. All 1st gens will have some issues but I'm happy with my purchase. Some people just end up with lemons regardless of brand. Funny people who have never even owned a truck with air suspension complain about it like they know about it. Just buy what you like.
Good luck making it to 100,000 miles. Lol
Bet your truck is gone now/ has had many problems lol
2:47 - thank you for including the tailgate! I’ve seen it in commercials but wanted to see how it really works and if it is practical. Great job as always!
For everyone arguing about mpg vs L/100 km: they're exactly the same thing, just the inverse of one another.
It helps to think of mpg as m/g. If you invert the metric figure and reduce by a common denominator, 5L/100km becomes 20 kmpL, if you prefer to think of it that way.
Likewise, 25 mpg becomes 4 gallons/100 miles, for example.
dude, that is the best sweater I've ever seen in my life. If you lost a bet i understand, but if you actually bought it........so awesome!!
I sure like you fellas. Great job and your rapport and banter is enjoyable. Keep up the great reviews.
Thanks!
I like having 2 people reviewing. You get both sides of thoughts and less biased
Guys, "auto" does not automatically select among the other drive modes. It is it's own drive mode meant for when the roads are alternating between low and high traction surfaces. This is an important distinction because leaving it on all the time impacts fuel economy and drivetrain wear. From GMC's site:
AUTOMATIC 4 HI
If road conditions frequently alternate between high- and low-traction areas, consider using the “AUTO” setting found on select GMC electronic transfer cases. This setting allows your GMC to automatically distribute torque to the front axle by anticipating the need for additional traction. Shifting into “auto” engages the front axle, but the transfer case sends power primarily to the rear wheels in normal conditions and the clutches modulate torque forward to provide stability and enhance traction to the vehicle. Although not always optimal for efficiency and wear of your vehicle 4wd driveline, AUTOMATIC 4 HI can be used on any road condition without risk of damaging your vehicle.
Watching this in class, thanks for the video bois
Love “Get your facts straight!”. Great work guys.
Man it’s crazy how far trucks have come with technology and comfort features, I remember 12 years ago when trucks had the worst speakers HVAC systems would break, no safety features, plastic everywhere, now they have more comfort stuff than my sedan
Appreciate the conversions guys!
Snazzy intro & Jakub looking perfect as an Amish Grizzly Adams in that Denali. 😷👍
When you buy a truck just for the tailgate
Lol
Pretty much the only reason to get this over a ford or ram. Unless youre a diehard GM person
Jake Stoler no it’s actually just better then the Ford and the Ram period
GMC got higher resell value after 3-5 years than ford and ram.
Steban XRP Trillionaire GMC is more reliable and better quality and resale value is better so...
Just a few things. The Denali retractable steps move horizontally to the rear for easier access to the bed as well as the Magna Ride suspension being tuned for the drive modes. It also has adept trailering settings for it's tow mode.
Been watching your channel for some time and I'm glad there's a CDN automotive channel to carry on the mantle of those TSN Motoring days! Great content fellas!
Thanks! We were on motoring tv for 1 season. Watch our earlier used car reviews 😉
Thank god, GM will be redoing these interiors soon as part of an early refresh. About time.

Omfg yes! 🤣🤣🤣
OMG I've been waiting for you guys to review this soo bad! Woop!
The tracking drone shots from the side are freaking awesome!
I like MPG's because it allows me to know how far can I go with the current level of gas in the tank
Its the same with l/km
@clout demon Maybe for Americans who has really cheap gas. But for us who pay a lot for gas l/km is more useful and simple
It’s easy math, let’s say 21.5 mpg. So I can go 21.5 miles for 1 gallon of gas.
How does the l/km maths work, remember I’m American.
clout demon don’t group them all together, look at some old Top Gear, along with some of our Canadian brethren. Not all of them make things difficult, a lot use US measurements. Been watching a Canadian channel, and if not for the Canadian slang and accent, you would swear he was from the deep south. His channel is mint.
@clout demon Pretty much the whole world uses the the metric system, it's you Americans who complicate things with your stupid imperial system
It’ll probably be the compressed carbon fiber, not the nice woven stuff. If I had to go to a pickup, Team RAM. This Denali is classically handsome though.
My man Jakub, rocking the Andrew Luck I live off the land look. Great video fellas as always.
Thanks guys. Great video.
"I'm Yuri and i'm Logan and we're going for a drive Bub!"
I work as a valet and the Ram is my favorite to drive. It's easy to drive and park, its transmission engages smoothly, and the interior is pretty nice for a pickup. I'd take a nice Ram over anything... maybe even a Raptor, but that's a toss-up!
Hahaha loving the look on Jakub's face while Yuri is going wild on (non)tuning controls on the wheel :D
*Big boys coming with the big trucks,*
*Feel so clean, like a money machine.*
I sell Sierras (mostly used) and man... they're sooooo nice!
Another excellent review thanks! Nice truck but Definitely the new Ram is better.
That shot at 1:58 blew my mind. How gorgeous the scenery.
I very much loved the lighting, cause filming in the snow or winter grey is hard to do. Easy to overexpose or wash out all colors. Especially intrigued by the very nice lit interior during the driving sections. It almost seems like you are using a video light but it is probably just the giant windshield of this monster letting in all that light. Really enjoy your reviews and the production quality.
Now I will admit first in this comment that I sell GMC Denali SUV’s and Trucks. Also will mention Denali comes from an Athabaskan word meaning “The High One” or some have interpreted “The Great one” (more fitting for the brand imo) ;referring to the Mountain “Denali” in the National Park of the same name in the Denali borough of Alaska. I spent 5 summers in Denali and would highly recommend going there and seeing the actual mountain this Sub Brand was named after.
I recently had a training class on a comparison of the Denali vs Ram Limited vs F150 Platinum edition. We got to drive the Ram and F150 trucks to compare them to the Denali which we sell. If you like gadgets and cool stuff, you guys definitely are correct that Ram does have cool gadgets and a huge screen. However, nearly everything pertaining to the climate controls is accessed through the huge infotainment center, including the heated steering wheel. There isn’t a button conveniently located on the steering wheel as in the Denali. In my opinion, it seems dangerous to have to take your eyes off the road to navigate through this large screen to find such things. The Ram I felt seriously underpowered compared to the other two trucks. While I will give it to the Ram for style, I’ll have to say hands down, biased or not I’d take the Denali over any truck out there for overall Presence, Power, and Practicality. Great video! Recent subscriber here, keep up the good content.
I think the Denali’s are nice but the Rams are still better. If you are concerned about everything being accessed in the screen you should just buy the regular 8.4 which is what most people do. I don’t know where you get the underpowered from because I have drove them myself and so have many car critics and I never here any of them say that.
@@joelrepass2379 👍🏻
When they say Ram, are they comparing to the Ram Rebel they reviewed? Cuz what they really need to review and compare to this truck is the Ram 1500 Limited.
eaz54 the limited destroys this in luxury. I’m honestly so impressed with the new ram.
They specifically say Ram 1500 at the end
@@domscott3845 Make: GMC ; Model: SIERRA ; Trim: DENALI compared to Make: RAM ; Model: 1500 ; Trim: LIMITED. Instead of comparing to Make: RAM ; Model: 1500 ; Trim: REBEL which would be better compared to Make: GMC ; Model: SIERRA ; Trim: AT4.
@@domscott3845 well the RAM Rebel is a RAM 1500 trim level so it's still confusing. The Rebel has the same power as the base model 1500.
eaz54 RAM’s overly done interior is definitely more luxurious but I wouldn’t say it destroys the Sierra in luxury. There are still luxury features the Sierra has that the RAM lacks. Exterior wise the Denali definitely looks light years better than the RAM 1500 Limited.
Another great video guys! Keep em’ coming!
I recently test drove the 2019 F150, Silverado, Sierra and the RAM... ended up buying a RAM LARAMIE trim, great looks (I did like the exterior of the GMC as well), great handling, great ride, and that interior... best interior by a mile, not even close!
I did the test drive with Silverado and ram . Ram has awesome interior better than Silverado, but was trying to park the ram it had trouble going into reverse. I don't understand why
harley greenbird really ? Haven’t had any trouble with the shifter myself

I'd love that too! But until then they show some stuff on Insta and a little bit on the "straight tech" channel they got.
@@fabianherrmann6398 I didn't even know that they had that channel thanks
Cant believe they didnt mention active ride control. These trucks are glorious to drive
Gm needs to have a panoramic roof in these trucks, Denali, Escalades and premiere Tahoe/Silverados ALL need it
I am a Lover of GMC car I love, really my encouragement to GMC home,
I have Ram, but damn yes the GMC and the Chevy looks so good, and have amazing power out of that 6.2
Only thing GM has going for them is that 6.2L
These drone shots are getting better and better!
what i love is that GMC spent millions on ads, just about the tailgate, like, damn, how proud of a tailgate can you be?
Justin Walters GM also spent millions on that WiFi router in your their cars. When they've got bad reliability and build quality, they gotta sell on gimmicks
As an American I’m constantly converting numbers when I watch you guys. Like wow it’s really cold -5 degrees there but oh right that’s Celsius. They’ve got the AC at 24 degrees!!! Oh right...Celsius. We have to be different for some reason 🇺🇸. Anyway, nice work carry on.
Same when I go to the US and I see imperial units 😂
Embrace the freedom units brother
well, when Canada starts making ANY kind of vehicle maybe liters/100km will catch on :)
Kyle Schack So this model year Sierra was actually made in Oshawa Ontario Canada. Now in Mexico, both countries use L/100km :)
Love your sweater, Yuri!
Have had very few problems, and it drives great with a smooth, quiet interior.
Great video! The truck? Exterior is excellent. The interior looks like a a child's Fisher Price toy version of a truck. Why GM, why? The 1980s gauge fonts: STILL? The panel design and fitment around the glove boxes: designed that way so that when they fail to actually manufacture them consistenly on the assembly line, it's not as easy to detect. That kind of garbage should of gone out in 1980s when you got your ass kicked by Japanese quality, yet it persists. SMDH.
alliejr exactly! GM interiors are such garbage. That truck will be a squeek fest of plastics at 100 000kms. But I must say that exterior is definitely a wow factor
@@derrickrogalsky1884 And at almost 80k no less
Ass getting kicked by the Japanese? Japanese trucks are a joke and Toyota’s aren’t fully boxed. Toyota trucks have better “reliability “ because no one serious buys a tundra truck for fleet service.

Am I an idiot? Doesn't miles per gallon mean the same thing?
How many miles you go on one gallon? Am I missing something?
Pretend Monkey that guy is dumb lol your not an idiot
Pretend Monkey a measure of how far a car can travel if you put just one gallon of fuel. Lol this guy knows “everything” about vehicles but can’t grasp MPG lol
Maybe we should change speedometers to hours per 1,000 miles/kilometers. You know, because when I need to drive somewhere, and it's like 1,000 miles away, I'll know how many hours it will take to get there. So much easier than MPH. lol
Yep; you’re an idiot. Unless by same thing you mean opposite.

Perfect truck: this Denali with the ram high end interior. Also, just subscribed keep up the good work fellas
The wheels do scream Luxury
Or it’s literally the reason why people say don’t judge a book by its cover
The interior screams garbage
0:55 what about Buick?
I drive a 15' Nissan. It lets you seek with the wheel controls if you hold it the button. A tap just does favorites.
It's much slower than just tapping the buttons on the radio.
Depending on what you want. GMC Denali is more of a luxury brand of Truck but I'm sure everyone will love that tailgate.
Never been so early. But worth it though 😁
Love the review! The RAM does look better!!! 😅
Duuuude. I've been wondering about the cup holder test since I subbed. I don't think I've seen a review where it failed, so it definitely had me wondering...Also, you guys should do a Q&A sometime!
Love the look of the Denali’s classy in black
i went and looked at one of these and the exterior is good but the interior is the horrible. cheap plastic everywhere. the the dash looks way to much like the garbage GM has been doing for the last decade. The Ram is mid level trim looks way better.
I checked out the Denali and AT4 at a car show and I was really disappointed. These brand new GMC interiors were garbage compared to the "old" 2018 Ram Rebel sitting in the booth next to them, and I hate Dodge.
Metric system for life! also sick hoodie
I know the Ram is well built but the Silverado has good reliability and typically last 200-300 k with proper maintenance and normal wear and tear. I guess it's just a matter of choice. Good review.

Yeah because GM... they age to 10 years old after 3 months and then sort of sit at that same age for the next 10 years. :-/
Yeah at 6:34
I didn't know that satélite rádio was such a big thing in north América...
The only thing good about Satellite radio is that on long trips, it will always be there except when you go under long bridges, tunnels..
The only Bad thing about Satellite radio is the absolute 50's AM radio sound quality!!!!! Just hate it... In all the years those yahoos have been killing people with all the money for a year of this crapola, they have never ever done anything to improve the annoying sound quality.. The worst FM signal you can get, sounds so much better than Satellite radio sound..
Yes finally a truck review video
Denali 1500 is my dream truck but I can't say it's better than the Ram 1500. That 11 inch screen just gets me every time. One day GMC and Chevy will catch up... I hope!
why does the centre console 4:25 look like a ford key fob lol
What has been seen cannot be unseen... LMAO
Yeah Ford has way nicer interior. I'd get me an F150 Limited over a GMC Denali. Ford F150 Limiteds are just most all time entirely the truck of my life living dreams. 2019/2020 f150 Limited with the raptor engine in it. And besides that it has even more sicker and sicker interior design than the Denali itself. That truck has a bunch of shit that the GMC Denali never had.
Looked at the new Denali- Bought the 2019 Ram Limited instead. Just can’t beat the Ram interiors IMHO.
you def cannot beat the ram interior...its a deal maker..its where your going to be hopefully most of the time lol
Over MSRP lol... Yes sir, that’s the plan. 👍🏻

I know in the new Acadia you can rearrange the buttons on the home screen... AKA put the camera button on the first screen.
I love my white 4 day old 2019 Sierra Denali!!
Miles per gallon is the same it just requires more math. Like if my g1 insight averages 77mpg on the freeway and I have to get somewhere 35 miles away, it will take aboot $3 usd to get there and back.
Now calculate same for 50 miles. Or 200 miles. In your head, please. Now imaging that your car consumes 1.4 galons per 100 miles. Go back to the previous questions. How much simpler the calculations become?
@@aigarius I didnt say it was simpler. I said it was more complicated. Personally I prefer the metric system of imperial measurement. You should have read my whole comment.
