- Update: Dr. Disrespect admits he messaged a minor - • Dr. Disrespect Respond...
Over the last week, Dr. Disrespect has come under fire because several people claimed that his Twitch contract ended because he was trying to contact a minors on the platform. This is a recap of the entire situation, why Dr. Disrespect may have settled the lawsuit. Why Twitch likely settled the lawsuit. And where that "No wrongdoing was admitted" statement keeps coming from. On June 24th, 2024 it was revealed that the Midnight Society Dr Disrespect partnership had ended. This is supposedly after they looked into the situation Cody Connors mentioned. An hour earlier, Guy Beahm aka Dr. Disrespect quits streaming or at least goes on an indefinite vacation. Here's my recap of everything you need to know about the Dr Disrespect story.

yo wlll talk about this...but NOT about sweet baby inc????? unbelievable Destin.
Lawyer here. I appreciate you including some insight on what “no wrong doing was acknowledged” entails. Doc’s use of that language conveys A LOT of backstory, much of which we the public might likely never be fully privy to.
I think people aren’t understanding is you don’t have to do something illegal to be fired. I could get fired from my job for many reasons and nothing had to be illegal to give them the right to do so. It’s akin to athletes, you don’t have to be proven guilty of a crime to be punished but you will surely be punished by the league for making them look bad.
Well he just admitted to it. I wonder what people are gonna say in his defence, now?
His defenders have gotten awfully quiet.
I _Was_ about to ask you: Really!?
But I decided to research it myself, and lo and behold: [From Gamespot]
"I didn’t do anything wrong, all this has been probed and settled, nothing illegal, no wrongdoing was found, and I was paid,"
he later added in a subsequent tweet.
*But Beahm recently posted a lengthy tweet in which he does admit that inappropriate messages were sent, but maintains he did nothing illegal and claims his interactions with the minor were "mutual."*
My Goodness...
Defending what, he’ll make a good wife to someone in prison.
People were here defending him and accusing Alanah, now the comments vanished.
Update: his subreddit is basically full of people that think he has done nothing wrong even though he’s admitted to basically being a groomer
This is the most in depth review of what is going on. You mentioned the messages that twitch can read and wouldn't want the public to know. No other channel has mentioned this, you sir are a master detective.
Dr. Disrespect was so true to his character he disrespected his wife 😂
Great video Destin
Destin, I’ve waited a long time to comment this and it seems like the appropriate time to finally say it:
I really like your display shelf.
Reading all the comments of the Doc simps defending him here now that he’s admitted to it is absolutely HILARIOUS!!!
And sad
I feel sorry for them. Pitiful souls with fragile minds and critically low self esteem. Just a sad bunch all round really
Man, these are the types of people who defend the worst type of people. To Hell with evidence, confessions, police records, witnesses, sworn statements, restraining orders, or documents of wrongdoing. These armchair lawyers won't ever believe any type of slander against their favorite streamer.
I appreciate you destin keeping emotions out of this and sticking to if there are facts or not we need more people like you to tell and report an unbiased news
If he's guilty, then he needs to face legal consequences. If he's innocent, then everyone slandering him needs to face consequences. It's really that simple.
It doesn't help the discourse that Doc became persona non gratis for not following the current mainstream political narratives (like his Covid stance, for example).
Yeah that freedom to express yourself is real troublesome……
@@manateemilk1 Just curious, is it your opinion that slander is ok?
Looks like he has addressed this and announced he was having conversations with someone, and that is why the contract was terminated. He also straight forward has denied any of the accusations of illicit and illegal shenanigans. So now the question is exactly who he was talking to, and what did he say that Twitch decided broke the rules? There is also an email floating around by a former Twitch employee stating that several Twitch employees had tried to set him up because they didn't like him personally and his political leanings. So who knows...
Now it looks even worse... cause he edited (minor) and put someone then when caught by X slueths edited minor back in. Optics Dont look to good. He maintains it was all above board and legal... but idk just talking to a minor alone and getting canned, for it seems like there must be more to the story.
Persona non grata, not persona non gratis
Great reporting Destin.
Excellent video, Destin
Definitely sharing this. Fantastic video that explains the details
This is some wild shit. The only thing that suprises me here is him getting his contract paid out in full, which to me as just speculation means maybe doc didnt know how old the person was and Twitch was landing themselves in hot water almost like an accessory to the crime. Or maybe he did know, had a good lawyer and made twitch go "yikes" when they realized it and they settled. I doubt we'll ever really know 100%, but I think his career is probably over either way.
Thank you for compiling a lot of the information going around the internet right now. What a crazy situation.
Accusations without proof are just that. Tread lightly
The company HE co-founded is letting him go, which they can't do if they have no legal reason in doing so. Sorry, but whatever he did do was enough to be seen as a liability to the people who initially believed him innocent. He's cooked, dawg.
Sounds awfully like an awkwardly delivered threat :) no accusations are being made here. Just looking at all of the factors involved. Relax.
Never heard of this person before until today
This is one of the better videos out there on the whole matter...Thanks Destin..
"Shoot first. Ask questions later."
I'd say that's true but if what the journalist are saying is true, its around a 4 year delayed shot. And again just to point out, these two are one of the most powerful brands out there so if 4 years is to fast I dunno what is considered slow. Say what you will about the twitch knucklehead, but there were a few who mentioned it 4 years ago about how they couldn't say due to the sensitivity then and now just go, I didn't lie. I dont know about you, but I wouldnt want the target on my back for being the first to break it.
Twitch dropped him after investigation, lost millions. HIS OWN COMPANY dropped him after investigating.
He might not have done something illegal, but by the amount of ick someone can do before a company chooses to lose money by kicking you out, you know that if his messaging history was made public, people would've wanted his arrest no matter if it was legal or not.
Well, he just admitted that he did it in a statement. So it looks like these people knew what was going on. So I guess in your comment it should say “asked questions, got answer. Then shoot“
I really, really wish people wouldn't spread rumors like that.
Also, no twitch employee should be treated like a serious professional, no one there conducts themselves professionally
This is great destin, its a proper adult view , and great research in the process. Look it needs to go to court for anyone to be guilty! Atm morrally and ethnically guilty
No wrongdoing clauses LIMIT or prevent the admission of Liability
'not acknowledged' basically shows that both were vulnerable to public and or legal consequences and decided to both actively forget the situation to prevent legal or social consequences.Exactly what the situation was won't ever be known, that is the reason of the settlement.
Well, we know now. He admitted in a statement that he was inappropriately texting a 17-year-old. He said that’s why he was banned.
Without any factual data it's just word against word now. There's countless scenarios and all could be true or false.
A) He was Sexting with a minor and arranging a meetup at Twitchcon, he knew it was a minor. (The allegations are completely true)
B) He was Sexting with a minor and arranging a meetup at Twitchcon, he did not know it was a minor. (The allegation are partially true)
C) He was Texting with a minor and arranging a meetup at Twitchcon, he knew it was a minor, and there was no sexual connotations or anything remotely illegal, just a friendly meetup
D) He was Texting with a minor and arranging a meetup at Twitchcon, he did not know it was a minor, and there was no sexual connotations or anything remotely illegal, just a friendly meetup.
E) It is all made up
The company HE co-founded is letting him go, which they can't do if they have no legal reason in doing so. Sorry, but whatever he did do was enough to be seen as a liability to the people who initially believed him innocent. He's cooked, dawg.
Here's facts: Three companies, including one he co-founded, all chose to cut contact and ties with him after their investigations, and are all tight-lipped.
Most likely scenario: Dr Disrespect didn't do anything illegal. Technically. But he was either about too, or just skirting legality and being an icky fuck.
And at least one (at the time) minor is affected and is being protected.
Ended up being A
Destin, a well-presented professional and informational video on a very serious topic. Thank you for your journalistic input.
Great vid, Destin
I agree, Destin, Due Process. Everyone has a right to defend themselves. Kevin Spacey has never been convicted in a court of law, both criminal and civil. I think you presentation here is done well. Thank you.
Kevin Spacey is not a good example. Didn't all of his accusers die?
@@ItalianoYMexicano Exactly, I watched that interview last week.
Yeah so was R. Kelly until he wasn’t. That does not mean he won’t ever be.
Whether Twitch withheld information improperly depends on the content of the messages (which we don’t have) doesn’t it? It’s possible the legal team concluded that the whispers didn’t implicate the criminal statute but still warranted a ban under Twitch’s policy. It’s also possible that they did forward info to authorities and whatever they did with it went nowhere. Investigations can often escape public notice. Certainly the Twitch folks should have locked it down given that the whole thing was basically an open secret and more was going to come out eventually. But I’m not ready to read in the worst yet.
Being banned, fired, and having reputation destroyed without having been found guilty by a court is disgusting.
I'm not attacking or defending the Doc, but why does an item/issue need to be decided by a court? If a company has access to its own data and makes a decision based on its terms of service, isn't that the fault of Doc breaking their rules? Twitch never released Doc's data publicly, so until we know the actually data its always an accusation. I respect Twitch not publicly providing the reason why, like any other company not releasing why everyone gets fired.
He can still stream on other platforms, as he hasn't broken YT, FB or Kick's terms of service.
He just admitted to it
That's cancel culture for ya
That’s not how it works bro
The minor has to press chargers or nothing will happen, twitch can ban him and stuff but if the minor in question doesn’t press chargers nothing can happen legally
Edit: Now that he's admitted it then he needs to be held accountable, as I said.
Gossip and "Trust me because I work for so and so" are very very far from concrete evidence. Anyone advocating for destroying someone's career and life because of "overwhelming gossip" has a few screws loose. If he did it, he should be held accountable by the law. Not based on "feelings" nor public opinion.
where thier smoke thier fire, let not be like Michael Jackson and say he just really liked kids and did nothing wrong.....
if thier zero proof and all it took was a " false " report he should get justice but I'm not going cry for him till the dust is settled and he did ZERO things trying meet " younger " girls.
Now that’s he’s admitted it how do you feel?

I have been watching Doc for years now and I am really big fan of his content. He’s helped me get through hard times, which sounds crazy for the fact of just watching a streamer! I hope all of this is right now is not true or even not as serious as it sounds. I would like to say your video is incredibly professional, no-biased and straight to the point. I appreciate you. You have claimed a new subscriber 🎉 thank you!
Awesome work Destin ❤ so clear and compact. Man I love dr Disrespect. I truly hope he will get out of this trap.
Judging by his latest tweet, he will never get out this trap.
If true both doc and Twitch should get in Trouble but I don't believe it until thay actually shows Proof
I would like to add to your comment if unfortunately true twitch should get in trouble like you said and also change the age to make a twitch account to 18
Let's face it. He got banned from twitch. Then the midnight society cut ties with him. - Are friends of his cutting ties with him as well?
We live in a society where, even if a vile Rumour is following that person(even if they've done no wrong), everyone will cut ties with them instantly, even without getting all the facts.
We may never know, but this rumour will continue to plague Dr Disrespect.
He just admitted it. I think people need to understand that companies don’t cut ties over rumors usually. They’ll need some kind of proof otherwise they would face a wrongful termination suit.
But now we know he was texting inappropriately to a minor.
@@Haybudcontext matters and words have meaning remember that
Level headed logic Destin. Good video.
Destin, there was a landslide on our neighboring town. Pls make a video about it.
There might be no "proof" of an NDA or gag order, but I've seen fairly often where such is part of a settlement when one or the other party doesn't want details out there. Often it's the paying party, but not always.
Didnt ge just come put with a statement saying its true?
He just admitted to having a chat with a minor holy shit
I'm from another country. I really don't know. Is it a crime justo to chat with a minor? If you are a minor i'm committing a crime right now in USA?
@@didioskywalker it can be a crime depending on what was said in the chats. I'm not gonna claim to know anything. But doc himself said the conversations leaned into inappropriate topics and regardless of if it's legal or not. He's a creep.
Thay better have Proof
No proof, innocent until proven guilty. I hate this "prove your innocence" BS
Back after Doc’s tweet. Destin was the only one with the real take. Both parties were dirty, Doc for talking to a minor inappropriately, Twitch for covering it up for yrs.
On something off topic, KingThrash just claimed Destin is a Xbot for hire.
Good breakdown. All seems fishy to me, we need more information. Curious if youtube will release a statement.
Twitch and amazon?
Literally everyone is in trouble because there is no way to verify without connecting real verifiers. Are we gonna go the south korea route and connect socials to accounts?
Innocent until proven guilty > social media court. I hope at the end of the day there'll be justice for the right party of the involved parties. I have a deep disgust for using social media as leverage for your case, although on the other side people should be able to tell their stories. There needs to be a modern solution (which I don't have) where both parties involved in the situation can be protected until it lands in a proper court case with a fair trial. It's hard and a modern day issue, all I hope is that something positive comes out of all this.
docs the king, better come with something other than hear say from years back when you go after the king
I mean, he has literally confessed to the act now in an official statement with a bit of PR spin. Can't wait to see how his fragile minded, brittle-willed apologists justify this one.
Well, he just admitted to it, in the most smug way imaginable, and said he's going on a 'family vacation' as a result.
He won't be back, and he knows it. He's ruined it for himself.
None of this adds up....
Well, he just admitted it in a statement. So we don’t have to do any speculation anymore.
@Haybud This happened in 2017 when he admitted to infidelity. According to the email that was released prior to Docs statement individuals at twitch had it in for him after the bathroom incident and went through his dm's (which maybe illegal) and found this interaction and reported it in 2020 THREE YEAES LATER and also after he admitted to problems and took time away to work out those problems.
Now in 2020 this resurfaces and they ban him and Doc once he finds out the reason, sues twitch for them going through his private messages and they eventually settle with "no wrong doing on either side" that way this is kept quiet for both parties to never disclose until this past weekend by the same now EX-twitch employees. Twich is a scumbag company that will go after anyone theu dont like and Doc was one of them.
Does this vindicate Doc? somewhat but he admitted to a mistake back in 2017 and now also again in 2024 SEVEN YEARS LATER. How far do we go??? When is saying sorry i messed up enough???
Doc isnt 100% innocent and said as much but Twitch is a lowdown rotten to the core of a company where ex employees will try to cancel you and then try to sell concert tickets and yell everyone that they will reveal the reason why.
2 wrongs never make a right.
Twitch obviously found something they were uncomfortable with, and acted on it. They likely didn't do enough legwork on the issue before pulling the trigger.
Dr vs Amazon? oh boy
Can’t help but see some similarities between this case and Michael Jackson’s. When the public sees kids being potentially mistreated, the court of public opinion is concluded and the person is guilty to the public at large. By design, we protect children voraciously. What I’m wondering about for this case is the exact details. If Doc was going full to catch a predator here, why are the police not involved? Seems strange.
Never watched Dr. Disrespect but if his perspective is that he’s told Twitch Whisper program was 18 years & older then it’s not wild to assume Dr. Dis wasn’t aware a minor was messaging him. His lawsuit sounds promising if he has to indefinitely quit because of such rumors.
25:11 "Let's _hear_ what PVC has to say". _Why_ though?
First: Unintelligible mumbling.
Second: ...and his whatever-you-call-his-attempt-at-communicating is important because?
It's actually even worse because the sexting happened in 2017. People have sat on it for 7 years.
Lastly. This twitch ceo … WTF? Richard Branson lite. He would never make jokes about this. He would have just said not going there
Destin, do You think Dr may go to court with this?
I've never been a fan of Dr. Disrespect personally, but I really can't find fault with him in this situation so far. Where is any shred of evidence? All we have are people making claims who would supposedly be "in the know" but also making silly jokes about it when it's a very serious/disturbing topic. If he had straight-up violated the law he would/should have been reported to the authorities. I have to imagine that Twitch's contracts include clauses that let them out of the deal for misconduct and his entire 8 year deal was paid out in the settlement, so that sort of goes out the window. It just seems like everyone is believing what ultimately amounts to what is simply a rumor/hearsay without anything backing it up.
Does anyone have any proof??? Yes or No!
Why is it when famous people get caught in something like this whether true or not, they give the vaguest most legally safe answers that can be interpreted as "Yes I didnt did didnt do it." Also why are people just blindly believing him and blindly accusing him. First reaction is okay, so there's these accusations, lets see where it pans out when multiple sources are alleging this. This doesn't just crop up over night because they need clicks with someone this legally powerful.
If it's true, then it just seems like everyone at twitch treated this serious issue like a joke, including the twitch ceo. Everything about this feels rotten.
I also wonder if this coming out NOW is due to statue of limitations expiring within a years time....IF something happened. Like always we need evidence first and foremost!
My problem with this whole thing is that he didn't come out and say he didn't do it immediately. His first tweet sounded like something a corporation would come ip with after a massive layoff. The fact they they are being so careful with their words means something happened that they can't talk about. Alana Pierce did a great video on this. Saying basically if it is true and nothing was said it was more to protect the victim then dr. This is America after all. If your name carries enough weight you can do pretty much anything you want.
No proff at all, then Dr should get the benifit of the doubt imo.
He never mentions Dr. Disrespect in the tweet. So why is everyone assuming hes talking about him? Also hes just accepting the 15 minutes of fame with the extra traffic to his twitter
Did Twitch pay to silence all this?
So.. settled as in paid a settlement? If so, that doesn't mean he's innocent. Just means his legal team paid her to sign an NDA.
No one knows but Dr. Disrespect and the girl if this happened or not.
To the content creators that keep making videos surrounding this need to let this shit play out in the legal system.
If it happened, it happened. If it didn't, it didn't. Making these videos to spread rumors does nothing but tarnishes Herschle Beahms' name.
It's sad that this is how so many content creators use these damning rumors, as they are right now, to ruin someone when this is all in the air with no backbone.
Content creators feeding into this are scum and should let the justice system figure it out. If it happened, then make your videos.
Nah, they can make content on it. The only thing I would advise them against is slander outside of that they have every right to discuss it.
Allegations are just that…allegations. That’s all they are unless proven. People are always quick to forget that. I really don’t think UA-camrs should be judging or trying to investigate what happened themselves.
people are also quick to defend those they like, unless you got strong proof and even then " people " make mistakes so we still let things slide....
@@raylone13 Proof is key. Innocent until proven guilty. Like them or not, you cannot judge until you have all the facts. FACTS FACTS FACTS, not hearsay, rumour and opinion. Once you are in possession of all the evidence, by all means make a judgement. Nobody on here or UA-cam has all the evidence and are therefore not in a position to judge.
Something serious definetly happened. The writings are on the wall. Why so secretive about it all then ??? Let that sink in. If it was something trivial. What are they hiding huh ??? People are not seeing that. And cody connors was not the only person who said this. Some indian guy said the same thing last year in 2023...and it was screenshotted a private message. It wasnt just him. My theory is twitch doesnt want to get too legal where they can be accused of allowing something that can damage their brand so theyre trying to keep everything underwraps. Theres alot of sin here.
Doc admitted to talking to a kiddo
There's 100% a chance that the story is true, especially with all of the anonymity surrounding the verbiage being used by both parties. Twitch would be exposing faults on their end if they released the information. Like you said, DM's being read, possible PERSONAL attacks towards certain creators from Staff. There has been rogue staff members in chat, using their Staff Icon, to harrass creators.
We just need the proof. That'll settle all of this.
If this is true why would doc sue twitch if he's guilty??
To try and save face and now he's come out and admitted he did this...
I've watched many streams about this but this is the first I've heard about "the documents". Hope they are released so we get an update.
Twitch should be in serious trouble along with doc if those allegations are true because that’s something you shouldn’t sweep under the rug. Plus why wasn’t this brought up in the legal action or taken to criminal court because that’s a serious crime ? Something doesn’t seem right and I hope it’s not true but if it is then I have no sympathy for doc and he deserves the actions that have and will be taken.
W Take Destin!
Didn’t another twitch streamer (say no to rage)now known as reforge gaming get banned around the same time? Did anyone find out the reason for that?
If this is all turns out to be true. Then not only shpuld Doc should face legal consequences but so should twitch for covering it up.
However if this turns out to be fake then this fella Cody Conners should be sued for lible.
Doc looks like he was Emotionally broken by the last stray and he can't say everything or show any proof of his due to the ties to the Settlement and he is taken the full brunt of the bad PR while nothing towards twitch.
The whole situation points that Dr. Disrespect did something really bad. The new allegation though has no evidence to back it up, and the person who made the claim seems pretty unreliable as well. It is easy for the masses to run with it because most people do not buy that Dr. Disrespect did nothing wrong at all.

What's funny about this to me is that people are acting like this is the first time DrD has been accused of this kind of thing. The guy is an obvious creeper. The only way he could be more obvious about it is if he walked around with a giant neon sign above his head announcing it to everyone.
Do you have any examples?
He cheated on his wife, he streamed live from a public restroom, he's not only made racist comments but he's doubled down when called out on them, and now (if you haven't been paying attention) he's an accused pedo. These accusations have been floating around for at *LEAST* two years now - somebody claiming to be a Twitch employee posted about it on the DrD subreddit several years ago but the thread was deleted and the user banned. The only thing about this that's "new" information is that the accusation is now coming from a *confirmed* former Twitch employee - whereas prior to this it was only people *claiming* to be Twitch employees. If anything, this gives the accusation more credibility.
This exact same thing happened to Justin Roland. He was fired by the company he founded, black balled by the industry, and found guilty in the court of public opinion. Yet legaly he was found 100% innocent. Yet the damage was done, and his reputation was destroyed. It's almost like companies and journalists use this slander as a scapegoat. They bring no evidence while knowing that by the time the issue is legally resolved, the damage will be done. Until i see proof i dont trust it. How quickly people forget how many times we've heard this same story. And how often its all hogwash used to slander and dehumanize someone the powers that be do not like or favor. Release the proof and evidence until then, it's all hesesay and conjecture.
