- Cutting into this 1959 Impala Convertible for episode 2. We are finding more and more the farther we get into this lowrider restoration. Travis gets into some of the things we are finding and how we are adressing them in the next episode in the series.
You're a beast getting all of that done. I'm following intensely man I'm fixing to start my build and this is helping out tremendously on what to look for. Thanks man

I truly think having a sheet metal gauge, micrometer and printed chart to required with the older vehicles. Something tells me aftermarket parts are rolled in metric. They end up thinner even cold rolled. I just hope it doesn’t flood the US market. When I doubt, I would be tempted to one gauge thicker if buying flat stock in sheet goods form. That tail panel was a good find.

What gauge would you recommend for welding in plates for a lowrider bike??? Like the tank and any other stuff Like that... Thanks

Yeah we have a couple we put the big wheels on to be able to roll it in and out of sand at the sand blaster lol

Oooo bro lots of work I just acquired one in pretty good shape one owner in Pasadena my grandpa buddy passed away it sat on blocks for ever wife wanted it out the yard I jumped on it start restoration in Jan
