One of my essentials is a diaper bin. It's by no means needed, but it made my life easier having everything in one place. I went for the Ubbi, which is more expensive but you save later cause it works with normal bags. Also keeps all the smell in. An app was also super useful cause of all the reasons you mentioned. The only thing is that you always need to log stuff, which sometimes my mommy brain forgot. After a few months it became tiresome and I think I stopped after around 6 months. I used my U pregnancy pillow for feeding. Not perfect, but it worked with a couple extra pillows. Everyone said to get zippers clothing. I was cheap and didn't want to invest. Once my baby became mobile I started to see their value. Baby 2 will only wear zippers and kimono body! Don't be cheap like me, invest in the zippers! Now I need to get zippers for the little one so it will actually be more expensive in the end. I will get a nest with baby 2. We used the couch and pillows before and luckily we didn't have accidents, but it happened for her to slide off the pillows on the couch. You will beging to change your baby anywhere, trust me 😁
