@@paulthomson9709 > so you can buy one cheap and put an LS 1 Chevy in it and a ^6 speed trans and you are up and running ! because 220 hp will not work.
Gorgeous. I've used the tire clean solution at the car wash for vehicles this nasty from sitting. Spray it on and let it soak a few minutes and the gunk just comes right off easy.
From what I could make out, the white one has 8" Snowflakes, which, if original, means it has the WS6 handling package. It has a Pontiac engine but I couldn't tell if it has painted or silver metal valve covers, so dunno if it's L78 400 or W72 400. It has Fisher t-tops, 78 interior door panels, and 78 lattice style grills.
Glad to see someone that knows a thing or two about these cars. I had a white 1977 Base Model with the 6.6 Litre motor. Came with the Rally II wheels. I put 7" snowflakes on the front and 8" ones on the back. My '77 had the hexagon shaped grill opening. When the motor died, my brother and I put a T/A 6.6 motor in it.
The bondo, black, and grey T/A has the 1977 honeycomb grills and what might be American t-tops, or they might be Hurst. Either way, a couple of nice finds. Please do followup videos and reveal engine details on both and whether the bondo one is a 77 or 78, and about its t-tops too!
I have a 78 firebird esprit.. LOVE IT! I found it in a barn in upstate New York where I live..all original survivor! And yes the blonde girl is gorgeous 😍
I graduated automotive HS in 1975 got a job with Pontiac in the get ready shop. We installed the radios, defrosters, alarms , vinyl tops. Detailed the card and delivered them to the dealership about 3 miles away. I drove more 455 trans am cars than you can count. And they were so poorly but together, parts missing, I'm talking real crappy construction. But they sure looked good. Anyway in 1988 I bought a black fully loaded TA with the screaming chicken and everything. Guess what, it was garbage, burned rubber ok looked good, but the repair receipts were very high. I traded it in for a Honda civic in 91. Life is good 😊
Nice find ! I should talk to your buddy at that shop. I have a ton of parts, and a few cars left from back in the day. At one time, I had 22 parts TA's up here in the N.E. That was when they were cheap! Those 77-78 TA's have a huge following. Yep...they're still out there
