    • @RAVIPLA

      BMC is expensive, but these days there seem to be other tools available to replace. Let's find out if there is a good alternative. 😀

    • @MikeFromOz
      @MikeFromOz 5 років тому

      @@RAVIPLA From what I have seen there are cheaper versions available out there for this, and each one is around $10 or less. For 0.15 though you'd likely have to stick with BMC as I can't see any other alternatives at that price.

    • @RAVIPLA
      @RAVIPLA  5 років тому +1

      In Korea, the price of 0.15mm is about six Big Mac burgers. It is expensive. But if you use it carefully, you can use it for a long time.

    • @volatilesky
      @volatilesky 5 років тому

      Making your own tools is an option! You can make your own by carefully sanding a sewing needle (sewing needles are a harder steel) into the shape/angle you want, and then inserting it into a handle (wood, plastic, etc). Maybe not as machine accurate as the store bought one, but will do similar, and get you practise if you decide to upgrade.

It takes a long time for these modelers as well but they’re probably making it for a modeling contest or just because they really want to build something complicated. Simply because you put more details on the pieces, it doesn't mean the finished product as a whole look better.
    So many Gunpla builders, even those professionals, are putting way more details than necessary to a point where they'd be better off just have the entire thing engraved with checkered lines.
    Skilled? Definitely.
    But having a good tastes actually need more practice on the eyes.

    • @HoshinoMirai
      @HoshinoMirai 5 років тому

      @@carloagpoon7037 Sure. I shall not disagree. I do have to point out that there is a huge importance in balancing out the relationship between lines and surfaces. Focusing on a local piece sometimes can cause the entire work to loose its balance. That's why when you enter a local, small building competition, it is usually those that require the most amount of work that wins, but when you transition to some of the international competitions organized by groups like Hobby Japan, it is those that has the most unified, comprehensive finishes that stands out. That require more tastes over skills.

    음.... 글로 표현하려니 힘든데 골자기 같은부분(평면에 양각으로 튀어나온부분? ) 패널라인을 강조하고 싶은데 패널라이너로 하니 너무 굵어 지는데요. 좋은 팁이 있을까요????

    • @RAVIPLA
      @RAVIPLA  5 років тому

      양각으로 튀어나온 부분 주변을 따라 패널라인을 그어줄때를 말씀하시는 건가요? 패널라이너 사이즈는 몇미리 사용하세요? 저같은 경우는 이럴때 보통 0,125 나 0.15로 양각으로 형성된 주변을 따라 천천히 그어주는데 너무 굵어진다고 하시면 혹시 사이즈를 줄여보시거나 너무 깊게 말고 먹선이 흘러들어갈 정도만 파시는건 어떨까요? 철필과 같은 도구를 사용하면 프라스틱이 일어나서 저는 그냥 패널라이너를 이용해서 그어줍니다. 도움이 되셨는지 모르겠네요 😅

    Way toooooooo many panel lines which make no sense.All armor design should minimize joints for the sake of better defense performance, it is not like modern airplane which requires many access points for easier routine maintenance. Unlike mobile suits, modern warplane's survival ability relys not on armor.
