    Helo, thanks for sharing. justo a question...what other option could I use instead of adafruit motor shield?

      Due to the on-off nature of the motors and the current draw, I'd suggest the use of a motor shield. Adafruit is one option but there are cheaper brands out there with similar capabilities. Look at the specs of a shield you're interested in, if they are at or above the Adafruit you should be good to go.

    Hi, any reason why the power supply is connected to the motor shield instead of the Arduino? If I plug into the arduino will it still work?

      I think this was due to amperage through the motorshield, though you could probably get away with running the psu through the uno.

    Nice project. I am thinking of making this; however, I already have the Arduino uno and a motor shield and am using 2 of the motor slots for the wind sim. Can I use the other 2 slots for the rumble motors without having to buy an extra Arduino and motor shield? Thanks!

      Most motor shields don't allow for much amperage headroom so if you have budget then you should be able to add them, but check that your shield has the spare capacity first.

    Great project. I have a couple of bass shakers under my pedal deck and under my seats (4 total) using simhub. With my current setup I cannot recommend enough. I'm looking to add a few more under my shifter plate and rear pedal faces for different effects and added immersion.

      Thanks for the positive feedback. I'd definitely recommend additional devices on your pedals, the added immersion is worth it imo if you can get hold of the hardware cheaply enough. I didn't think about under the shifter for that clunk and engine vibration. I sense another project coming up!

    hi, the simhub configuration, how you do?

      After you install the firmware (see Firmware Upload on the video) you can then go to ShakeIt Motors, select your channels (Motor Outputs) you should then be able to select features you want to test against. In the video I just enabled ABS/TC, Wheel Slip and Wheel Lock.

    What box do you use for Arduino and Adafruit boards? Do I have to put both in the same box? Can you share the link of the item? Thanks

    • @Teqqlesdoessimracing
      @Teqqlesdoessimracing  6 місяців тому

      I didn't end up using the box in the video as it was too tight a fit. I used www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072FS3W7X instead, though for this project you don't need a window.

    Ill be adding small 25w exciters on pedals tomorrow seems much less work to do so and less lagg.

    • @Teqqlesdoessimracing
      @Teqqlesdoessimracing  10 місяців тому

      More fidelity, too. I actually use two pucks on my pedals these days.

      What exciters do you guys use and where should i look for? I want to install them on my gas and brake aswell.
      And why opt for exciters and not bass shakers?

  • @Daniel_r93

    So not a game changer if you already have bass shakers!?. But if you didn't have bass shakers and this was your first add on , would it be worth it then?

    Please, have a power supply link in alexpress ?? or what power supply need buy ?? Ws and Vs ??

      Something like www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003812497472.html would supply enough power as we're looking at 12v @ 3amps roughly. Actually the motors I used required less than that but it was a nice safe ceiling to be able to provide a little more.

    I love your videos! What would you consider yourself as far as skill wise? Are you pushing records or anything?
    Just a ps. I'm not at all haha .. Just wondering . How far your advice is for an aspiring racer?

    • @Teqqlesdoessimracing
      @Teqqlesdoessimracing  Рік тому +2

      Hi, thanks for the kind words. Skill wise, I'm fast enough to be competitive in most groups with some practice but not naturally fast and certainly better at racing than hotlaps or qualifying! There are groups like Sim Racer Academy and Driver61, which have videos to help you become faster, and some of their content is freely available on UA-cam. My advice would be to look at your vision (sounds basic and is, but where you're looking is pretty important) initially, which will help with consistency, from there, practice different braking techniques. Getting those last couple of seconds to be up there with the aliens is the hardest part, though, and I'm still working on that one! The SCB guys are a great bunch to race with who can also offer some advice.

    Why do you solder the pins? Is it not enough to just connect it?

      Sorry I used an off the shelf enclosure for this housing. Just a small project box from Amazon.
