Bloodthirst (1999) 9.5/10 2. Torture (2012) 10/10 1. The Bleeding (1994) 10/10 My second favorite death metal band! I really love all of these albums. There are at least a handful of tracks off of every album I constantly jam
Wretched spawn is easily in my top 3 CC albums. Nothing left to mutilate, festering in the crypt. It is an awesome album and I also cant believe so many dont like it.
I would never be able to rank CC albums, but it's always great to talk about them. The first one I bought was "Gallery Of Suicide" in 1998 when it was released, I agree that this is their darkest album, and I listened to it until the holes in the cassette tape. Next one I got was "Bleeding" - it was.so different! That really hooked me up, always loved this band since then. They don't have any weak albums imho, I love this kind of bands where you find new and exciting details every time you come back to some of their recordings. Yesterday I listened to "Eaten Back To Life" again - last time I did it was probably 15 years ago 🙂 And I really enjoyed it! It's a very specific album - it's not a grindcore, not a thrash, and not a death metal yet - but for the time when it was released it's amazing as the band's first effort! Really captures that energy of youth. So grateful for their new.album. They always know how to make me happy.
I can't rank them. Theres barely a decrease in quality from their worst to their best. Im glad to see torture at the top of your list, that is an amazing album and was my first exposure to death metal.
I enjoyed watching this ranking of their albums. I definitely agree with a lot of what you said, for every album, especially when you cited gallery of suicides titled track as one of your favorites. That is definitely one of my favorite songs by them as well. I would also agree that the bleeding is probably arguably one of their best records overall because of the music being very tight And the production values being very good and that was probably one of Chris Barnes best vocal performances. Corpsegrinder has done an incredible job, taking over the mantle for him and continues to slay at the front of the group. It’s sad how downward Chris Barnes has gone recently, but his air of Cannibal Corpse is still pretty awesome. Great ranking here. I hope the next album that comes out will continue the death metal flag that Cannibal Corpse proudly holds. They are the best death metal band.
I just finished listening to the Cannibal Corpse discography for the first time ever. Keep in mind, I'm not a hardcore death metal fan, but I loved listening to Cannibal Corpse, and I can see why they're one of your favorite bands. Here's my ranking, and be prepared for some hot takes: #15: Eaten Back to Life (1990) #14: Vile (1996) #13: Gore Obsessed (2002) #12: Red Before Black (2017) #11: Butchered at Birth (1991) #10: Gallery of Suicide (1998) #9: Kill (2006) #8: Violence Unimagined (2021) #7: Tomb of the Mutilated (1992) #6: Bloodthirst (1999) #5: Evisceration Plague (2009) #4: Torture (2012) #3: The Bleeding (1994) #2: The Wretched Spawn (2004) #1: A Skeletal Domain (2014) Even the records at the bottom are still really good records with some killer tracks on them. Literally one of the most consistent metal bands I've ever heard. Really enjoyed this video.
I love hearing your Corpse thoughts, man! I’m fairly new to the band, only really giving them a proper shot in August of last year...But not a week has gone by since then since I haven’t listened to a Cannibal Corpse album. Here’s where I rank the ones I feel I’ve spent enough quality time with*: 8. Gallery of Suicide 7. Vile 6. Torture 5. Bloodthirst 4. Evisceration Plague 3. The Bleeding 2. Kill 1. The Wretched Spawn *Eaten Back to Life, A Skeletal Domain, Red Before Black and, obviously, Violence Unimagined are ones I haven’t spent enough time with yet. Butchered and Tomb...I just can’t get into. My ears just can’t appreciate super guttural vocals. Probably I’m just a fucking poser.
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 like you, I don't get how people can put it so low. It has so much of what makes Cannibal Corpse great. It's a great balance of their technicality and groove. And "The Wretched Spawn" is as great of a title track as "Evisceration Plague." Topping it off is that absolutely foul cover.
I've been binging cc for the release of the new album, so far for me it's 1. Tomb of the mutilated 2. The bleeding 3. Kill 4. Gallery of suicide 5. Vile 6. Wretched spawn 7. Butchered at birth 8. Gore obsessed 9. Eaten back to life 10. Bloodthirst 1 and 2 are pretty interchangeable. Only reason eaten is above bloodthirst for me is because of skull full of maggots. I'm expecting good things of skeletal domain
After finishing the others, I'd put the newest 3 minus red before black right under kill and evisceration plague in last. Red before black somewhere in the middle
I literally clutched my pearls when you put gore obsessed at 14. Hatchet to the head, pit of zombies, dormant bodies bursting, compelled to lacerate what a string of tracks all in a row
Honestly, no judgement from me for whatever your rankings are (love your videos dude), but I personally adore Gore Obsessed. Sanded Faceless is just so disgustingly brutal, I'll never forget the first time I blasted it through my speakers!
Don't worry man I also think Gore Obsessed is criminally underrated. It's also one of George's most guttural performances which makes the album sound even heavier.
Maybe it's because this album is so nostalgic for me personally, but I put Butchered at Birth in the top three CC albums for me. They were my first taste of Death Metal when I was a child. My uncle played it for me and I was hooked. I mainly listened to thrash as a kid, I can remember when this first came out. I was only 8 yrs old, so they main records I was listening to around the time was Pantera Vulgar Display of Power, Gwar America Must Be Destroyed, and then I heard this it blew my mind away. I started listening to Morbid Angel a lot around that time as well. Then when I reached my teen yrs I became obsessed with Extreme Metal. I started listening to Suffocation, Deicide, Dying Fetus, Cephalic Carnage, Lividity, Cryptopsy, Mortician, Nile, Death, Dissection, At The Gates, etc. But if it wasn't for CC and specifically that album in particular. It influenced me so much into loving death metal music. Maybe I was a strange kid, but I loved how dark, brutal and evil that album sounded. It definitely stands apart from the rest of their discog. I used to listen to that album to fall asleep. Ive had tinnitus since I was a kid and this music was my saving grace in keeping me sane believe it or not.
Damn, it's so nice to see The Wretched Spawn so high,I think it gets overlooked, such an awesome album of theirs. Also, hell yeah for Torture at number 1,love the hell out of that album. Personally I would put Vile way higher,I think it's basically The Bleeding Part 2 in terms of being catchy and groovy, but different strokes for different folks) Love your videos, man, keep it up!
My personal ranking, though I'm still waiting for my Violence Unimagined pre-order and I only just finished collecting their discography so the bottom half may change in time: 1. A Skeletal Domain 2. Torture 3. Gore Obsessed 4. Vile 5. Gallery of Suicide 6. The Bleeding 7. The Wretched Spawn 8. Eaten Back to Life 9. Red Before Black 10. Bloodthirst 11. Kill 12. Butchered at Birth 13. Tomb of the Mutilated 14. Evisceration Plague I know there are some seriously controversial placings in it, but something I love about CC is that their discography is so varied that almost no two fans have the same opinions of their albums. All are at least very good death metal albums - they all just tick different boxes, so whether you like speed, groove, technicality, or atmosphere, they all have something for you.
@@Lilmacmcmo Are you just going through the comments section crying to ANYONE who doesn't put The Bleeding in first place? Your comment certainly DOESN'T show your age, because I can't image being this immature and writing comments as cringe-worthy as this in my 30s or 40s. Imagine being a grown adult acting THIS whiney over the internet because not everyone has exactly the same music taste as you.
Really enjoy your descriptions of each album. My ranking would be different but I would describe them the same way. Stabbed in the throat from gallery tho... pats first song and its savage
Been a Cannibal Corpse fan since 1993! Im old LOL. I agree with your list for the most part. Gallery Of Suicides problem isn’t necessarily the songs, it’s the production. It’s too muddy and flat. If the production were better, I would rank it higher. My only major disagreement is Vile. I love that album, and it’s number 2 on my list behind The Bleeding.
Im gonna get flack for this but 15 Eaten back to life 14 Butchered at birth 13 The Bleeding 12 Tomb of the Mutilated 11 Vile 10 Skeletal Domain 9 Kill 8 Red Before black 7 Evisceration Plague 6 Gore Obsessed 5 Touture 4 Gallery of suicide 3 The Wretched spawn 2 Violence Unimagined 1 Bloodthirst
Damn I feel old. First death metal albums I bought at a record store in 1992 was Deicide and Eaten Back to Life. My favorite Cannibal Corpse album is The Bleeding. Even with Deicide being my favorite band and my love for Nile and Origin, if I were asked by someone to define death metal in one song. The song I would play would be Hammered Smashed Face. My problem with the discography is monotony. Things especially in the Evisceration Plague to Red Before Black era the back half of Cannibal Corpse albums get very redundant and repetitive. I tend to go to individual songs with Cannibal. High Velocity Impact Splatter and Kill or Become great songs with individualistic personalities.
Here's my ranking: 15: A Skeletal Domain (I'm sorry) 14: Eaten Back to Life 13: Gore Obsessed 12: Vile 11: The Bleeding 10: Gallery Of Suicide 9: Evisceration Plague 8: The Wretched Spawn 7: Tomb Of The Mutilated 6: Red Before Black 5: KILL 4: Torture 3: Violence Unimagined 2: Butchered At Birth 1: BLOODTHIRST I love all of their records for a different reason, and I believe they have no bad albums. Also, The last 7 are pretty much interchangeable besides Butchered At Birth and Bloodthirst.
My top 5 CC albums: 1. The Bleeding 2. Tomb of the Mutilated 3. Vile 4. Gallery of Suicide 5. Butchered at Birth honestly all 5 are interchangeable depending on my mood. honorable mentions: Bloodthirst, Kill
Violence Unimagined would be somewhere in the top 3 for me. My list has always been 14: Evisceration Plague 13: Bloodthirst 12: Torture 11: Red Before Black 10: A Skeletal Domain 9: Gallery of Suicide 8: Eaten Back to Life 7: Vile 6: Kill 5: The Bleeding 4: Gore Obsessed 3: Tomb of the Mutilated 2: Butchered at Birth 1: The Wretched Spawn
Man, this was TOUGH. It could change at the drop of a hat, but as of today, my ranking goes something like: 1. Kill 2. The Wretched Spawn 3. Torture 4. Tomb of the Mutilated 5. The Bleeding 6. Butchered At Birth 7. Red Before Black 8. Violence Unimagined 9. Gallery of Suicide 10. A Skeletal Domain 11. Bloodthirst 12. Gore Obsessed 13. Evisceration Plague 14. Vile 15. Eaten Back To Life Again, I think with the exception of some at the very top and at the very bottom, this could be swapped a great deal. And I've only listened to Violence Unimagined once in its entirety as of yet.
Torture is also in my Top 3. He has the most brutality and heaviness ever recorded. It's like having your head violently torn off by a sledgehammer at every moment, it's almost transcendantal. I love it.
I just ranked all of Judas Priest and now I’ve decided to do Cannibal Corpse next! Honestly, I freaking LOVE Eaten Back to Life! I completely agree when you say it’s more of a thrash album rather than death but still it’s just so much fun. I’m so excited to rank them and see what my order will be. Great video! And subbed! 🤘🏻
This one and Immolation....so difficult to rank! My favorites are The Bleeding, eaten back to life, gore obsessed, Torture, evisceration plague and skeletal domain. Cool show 😎
Cannibal Corpse ! Great Channel Bro new subscriber here . I gotta disagree with Eaten back to life at 15 but great video bro happy i found you're channel !
Yeah It’s confirmed CC is now one of my favorite bands of all time. And some albums have already gone up and down lol. I LOVE and enjoy every album. 15 Tomb of the Mutilated 14 Gore Obsessed 13 The Bleeding 12 The Wretched Spawn 11 Vile 10 Gallery of Suicide 9 Red Before Black 8 Evisceration Plague 7 Eaten Back to Life 6 Violence Unimagined (I absolutely love it) 5 Torture 4 Butchered at Birth 3 Bloodthirst 2 Kill 1 A Skeletal Domain (FIRE UP THE CHAINSAW)
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 I still enjoy tomb but I find it to be crazy overrated compared to others. Still I cum blood and Hammer Smashed Face are amazing.
Tomb is definitely overrated, only the first 3 songs are classic to me. In fact I don't really find myself going back to the Barnes era often, if I do I'll probably listen to The Bleeding.
@@blackwaterrust476 I strongly agree man. I was incredibly excited when I first bought Tomb due to the hype, but after the first two songs... well, the whole thing just blends together to me. Don't get me wrong, I see why people like it and why it's considered influential, but personally I just get fatigue every time I try to listen to the whole album. I also feel it's somewhat overrated, but I guess it just depends on personal taste.
Good ranking . My list is 16 Red before black 15 Eaten back to life 14 Evisceration Plague 13 Gallery of suicide12 Gore obsessed 11 Butchered at birth 10 Vile 9 Violence Inimagined 8 The Wretched Spawn 7 Chaos Horrofic 6 Kill 5 Skeletal Domain 4 The Bleeding 3 Bloodthirst 2 Tomb of the Mutilated 1 Torture
1. Butchered at birth 2. A skeletal domain 3. Bloodthirst 4. The wretched spawn 5. Evisceration plague 6. Tomb of the mutilated 7. The bleeding 8. Gore obssessed 9. Violence unimagined 10. Kill 11. Eaten back to life 12. Vile 13. Gallery of suicide 14. Torture 15. Red before black
My favorite album by them is actually their live album "Global Evisceration" but, I ranked the studio albums only. 1: Tomb Of The Mutilated 2: Violence Unimagened 3: Evisceration Plague 4: Red Before Black 5: Kill 6: The Bleeding 7: Bloodthirst 8: Vile 9: Butchered At Birth 10: Torture 11: Eaten Back To Life 12: Gallery Of Suicide 13: Gore Obsessed 14: The Wretched Spawn 15: A Skeletal Domain
You're speaking facts about Eaten Back To Life not being a "go to" album when you think of Cannibal Corpse. I'd probably also have it last. I will say that I have The Wretched Spawn closer to the bottom on my list just because there were other Cannibal albums that had a stronger line-up of songs. Like how Gore Obssed had a killer beginning and end, but the middle was just good. The Wretched Spawn has a great line-up from Decency Defied to Rotten Body Landslide, but the rest are just good. Not as hard hitting from the start as I would like at least, but it's still a great album
Hell yeah probably my second favorite in the franchise! I liked Halloween 2018 quite a bit actually, it was fun even though imperfect. Halloween Kills kinda really annoyed me lol outside of the brutal kills, it was pretty not great imo
Good list. People probably won’t like mine. Here it is anyways. 15. Eaten back 14. Butchered at birth 13. Tomb of the mutilated 12. Vile 11. The Bleeding 10. Blood thirst 9. Gore obsessed 8. Kill 7. Evisceration 6. Gallery of suicide 5. Red before black 4. Wretched spawn 3. Violence unimagined 2. Torture 1. Skeletal Domain
Great ranking vid. Subscribed from the Violence Unimagined review and this vid. I love CC ranking vids because they are SO all over the place and I love the differing opinions. I’m very much in line with your rankings, glad to see The Wretched Spawn getting some love,
Excellent list! I’m actually going through a CC renaissance, and haven’t really listened to them much since before A Skeletal Domain. I bought Kill on CD back in like, 2010, and I just got back into them by rediscovering Scourge of Iron, which is also on Clone Hero, and it SLAPS. They’re also touring with Whitechapel, and I’m seeing them tonight! So in celebration, I decided to run back through their discography, and while this is definitely subject to change, my rough ranking goes as follows: 15 - Eaten Back to Life 14 - Butchered at Birth 13 - Gore Obsessed 12 - Tomb of the Mutilated 11 - The Bleeding 10 - Gallery of Suicide 9 - Vile 8 - Evisceration Plague 7 - Violence Unimagined 6 - Kill 5 - Red Before Black 4 - Bloodthirst 3 - A Skeletal Domain 2 - The Wretched Spawn 1 - Torture Also, just remember: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 🤘🏻
I've tried for years to rank order the CC catalogue and I can't come up with a ranking that's satisfying to me. I actually like your list for the most part, but I do think I'd put Evisceration Plague a bit higher. Sooooo many of my favorite Cannibal songs are on that record, I definitely get the whole thing about Alex songs being notey and all over the place but that's kinda the form of CC I like the best.... and Priests of Sodom is an insannneeee song, other than that; this is a pretty solid ranking. It may be too early to tell right now, but... I am highly tempted to put Violence Unimagined in my top 3. Maybe even number 1. Too early to say for me right now.
15. Evisceration plague 14. The wretched spawn 13. Red before black 12. Eaten back to life 11. Gallery of suicide 10. Vile 9. Gore obsessed 8. A skeletal domain 7. Butchered at birth 6. The bleeding 5. Violence unimagined 4. KILL 3. Torture 2. Bloodthirst 1. Tomb of the mutilated (how could it not be number 1.)
Just about choked when the debut was at the bottom...BUT I completely understand your reasoning for it. Finally got my copy of the new record today, can't wait to blast it.
Every album is great, with quite a few being really bad ass. It's almost pointless trying to rank them, but this is how I feel right now: 1. The Bleeding 2. Kill 3. Bloodthirst 4. Tomb of the Mutilated 5. A Skeletal Domain 6. Torture 7. The Wretched Spawn 8. Violence Unimagined 9. Butchered at Birth 10. Gallery of Suicide 11. Evisceration Plague 12. Red Before Black 13. Gore Obsessed 14. Vile 15. Eaten Back to Life
Good ranking. This has been my favorite band since my ears were first violated by Tomb of the Mutilated all those years ago. Anyways, here is my ranking. 1. Tomb of the Mutilated 2. Bloodthirst 3. Torture 4. Kill 5. The Bleeding 6. Violence Unimagined 7. Vile 8. Butchered at Birth 9. Red Before Black 10. Gallery of Suicide 11. A Skeletal Domain 12. The Wretched Spawn 13. Evisceration Plague 14. Eaten Back To Life 15. Gore Obsessed There is not a bad Cannibal Corpse album. Some are just better than others.
IMO 1. Vile⭐️⭐️ - *Gamechanger and defining sound with George on vox.* 2. Bloodthirsty⭐️⭐️ - *Thicc production, tech af, heavy, violent, different from anything out there* 3. Butchered at Birth⭐️ - *Heaviest CC album to date imo* 4. The Bleeding⭐️ - *Most listened. Peak of Barnes vocals and just groovy/catchy/OG brutality* 5. The Wretched Spawn⭐️ - *Dat riffage tho* 6. Tomb of the Mutilated - *Love but not fav like most. Production issues* 7. Gallery of Suicide 8. Evisceration Plague - *Best of the DadRock era of CC* 9. Eaten Back to Life 10. Torture 11. A Skeletal Domain 12. Kill 13. Violence Unimagined 14. Gore Obsessed
I’m a newer fan and every album I’ve listened to has something I absolutely adore. Unfortunately, Chris’s older stuff doesn’t really do it for me, I don’t know why. I guess old school dm style just doesn’t do it for me. But everything from butchered at birth to tomb of the mutilated to almost all of George’s stuff is awesome to me. A Skeletal Domain is one of my Favorite albums.
I always imagine the guys handing Corpsegrinder the lyrics to "Five Nails to the Neck" and Corpsegrinder going "Phhhttt...So? For this neck you need 5,000".
@@scotterbean1278 Revocation is a gnarly death/thrash band. All their albums are great but my favourite is still Chaos of Forms (2009). The solos on that album are out of this world.
I agree about Eaten Back To Life, but it's an important album in terms of the entire discography because it shows it's roots and connects it to the musical continuum. It's like Metallica's 'No Life Til' Leather' sounds like an aggressive Deep Purple mixed with Diamondhead or Satan. But also, if you listen to a lot of non-metal music, you pick up on the fact that on many albums since the first, Cannibal Corpse is kind of a jazz band, (listen to Alex Webster's instrumental side-project 'Blotted Science') and many songs sound different when you listen to them that way. Seriously, listen to some old Charles Mingus (start with So Long Eric, 1964) and Miles Davis (start with Bitches Brew or Big Fun), and then listen to Tomb Of The Mutilated again and the album sounds richer, fuller, and it becomes clear what makes Cannibal Corpse so different from most death metal. Most death metal, including Cannibal Corpose, especially Eaten Back To Life, is evolved from thrash, punk, etc., but Cannibal Corpse also uses jazz progressions, tempos and elements in the same way other death metal bands use European folk progressions, tempos and elements, and it never gets discussed that way.
Funny thing, I got the torture record as an Easter gift, my first cannibal record was kill, and I agree the wretched spawn is amazing, and I gots lots of love for gallery
I have not listened to enough CC to rank the albums but tbh I'm not really into some of the older stuff. The cover art for Butchered at Birth is disgustingly awesome but I'm not really into the songs. Rancid Amputation is awesome though. Oh and awesome Revocation shirt.
Nice list man, totally agree on the Bloodthirst album! Just one question..how long have let your hair grow;;I try to be a long-hair again and i wonder..it seems we have the same hair! Keep it up 🤘
1. Eaten Back To Life 2. Red Before Black 3. The Wretched Spawn 4. Bloodthirst 5. Gallery Of Suicide 6. Torture 7. Violence Unimagined 8. Gore Obsessed 9. Vile 10. The Bleeding 11. A Skeletal Domain 12. Tomb Of The Mutilated 13. Butchered At Birth 14. Kill 15. Evisceration Plague
Man Tomb Of The Mutilated is my favorite Cannibal Corpse album, I really feel like they were DEFINITELY pushing beyond the boundaries of censorship with that record. Like a giant middle finger to the PMRC. Hammer Smashed Face and I Cum Blood are their best songs in my opinion, best riffs and brutal drumming
Evisceration Plague is split for me as well, my main problem is that there are like no drum fills, but it probably has my favorite Cannibal guitar tone. I'm also one of those that puts The Wretched Spawn at the bottom haha, I just think it has the fewest highlights.
I’m pretty new to cc, and new to discog surfing. Do you have a method to listening to a bunch of albums? Because certain albums sort of sound niche to me when listened to once, but idk if it’s easy to listen to 14 smth albums 3 times. Just want to know because it’s really impressive that you guys do this for a living P.s: personally I love the Red Before Black album art, there perspective of getting stabbed from someone blood-shot pissed off looks and sounds terrifying.
I always go through a discography once and make a list then go and revisit them all at least one more time. I always say the lists can change with time. But then there’s bands like cannibal corpse who I’ve loved since I was like 13 and just know all their records
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 ah thanks, for the advice man, keep listing. Like I said I’m new to cc and so far I’m really digging this band :) 100% agree that torture is their best work, or at least from what I’ve heard

@@pairofjeansreviews2034 yeah for sure, and those riffs/solos on that album just sticks in you’re head, only problem i have with it is that imo Force Fed Broken Glass should have ended the album and not An Experiment in Homicide.
cc should stand for Consistantly cool. I think my top pick would be .... * Listens to them all* Um yeah. They're all great for different reasons. Great list. Agree with Torture being one of their best. Wish the production was a little cleaner like Skeletal because some of the riffing and double kicks get muddy at times. Still, it's a banger! Kill is probably my top pick if I had to decide. Just so pounding and that guitar tone is like a huge hammer the whole time haha. Cheers
Haha it is a very rare day to agree with completely about someone else's Cannibal Corpse top list. TORTURE is a masterpiece, among other masterpiece albums, it's their best masterpiece. I do think however the Violence Unimagined will actually climb up to my top 5. Cannibal Corpse is the KING of Death Metal.
I may disagree with your list(it's all opinion, fuck it ), but i can certainly appreciate your knowledge and breakdown of each individual release with very well thought out honest review of the best Death Metal band of all time(imo). I can't rank them. Theres barely a decrease in quality from their worst to their best. Im glad to see torture at the top of your list, that is an amazing album and was my first exposure to death metal.
Torture is responsible for me diving DEEP into death metal
Here's my ranking, and be prepared for some hot takes:
#15: Eaten Back to Life (1990)
#14: Vile (1996)
#13: Gore Obsessed (2002)
#12: Red Before Black (2017)
#11: Butchered at Birth (1991)
#10: Gallery of Suicide (1998)
#9: Kill (2006)
#8: Violence Unimagined (2021)
#7: Tomb of the Mutilated (1992)
#6: Bloodthirst (1999)
#5: Evisceration Plague (2009)
#4: Torture (2012)
#3: The Bleeding (1994)
#2: The Wretched Spawn (2004)
#1: A Skeletal Domain (2014)
Even the records at the bottom are still really good records with some killer tracks on them.
Here’s where I rank the ones I feel I’ve spent enough quality time with*:
8. Gallery of Suicide
7. Vile
6. Torture
5. Bloodthirst
4. Evisceration Plague
3. The Bleeding
2. Kill
1. The Wretched Spawn
*Eaten Back to Life, A Skeletal Domain, Red Before Black and, obviously, Violence Unimagined are ones I haven’t spent enough time with yet. Butchered and Tomb...I just can’t get into. My ears just can’t appreciate super guttural vocals. Probably I’m just a fucking poser.
Nah dude Barnes isn’t a good vocalist lmao I’m happy you love the wretched spawn!
I've been binging cc for the release of the new album, so far for me it's
1. Tomb of the mutilated
2. The bleeding
3. Kill
4. Gallery of suicide
5. Vile
6. Wretched spawn
7. Butchered at birth
8. Gore obsessed
9. Eaten back to life
10. Bloodthirst
1 and 2 are pretty interchangeable. Only reason eaten is above bloodthirst for me is because of skull full of maggots. I'm expecting good things of skeletal domain
You’re missing torture dude! 10/10 perfect album
Lol it’s a solid record just not really one I go back to
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 no I feel you. I’m that way with corpsegrinders first couple albums. Vile, galley of suicide
@@thevomit5851 I mean, dormant bodies bursting is just excellent
I rate The Wretched Spawn highly too, I have no idea why so many people dislike it.
It’s sooo good
Maybe it's because this album is so nostalgic for me personally, but I put Butchered at Birth in the top three CC albums for me.
Same! I was always aware of death metal and grindcore, but when I got into cannibal I dove HARD into extreme metal
Damn, it's so nice to see The Wretched Spawn so high,I think it gets overlooked, such an awesome album of theirs. Also, hell yeah for Torture at number 1,love the hell out of that album.
Personally I would put Vile way higher,I think it's basically The Bleeding Part 2 in terms of being catchy and groovy, but different strokes for different folks)
Love your videos,man,keep it up!
Hell yeah The Wretched Spawn kills! Vile is great it honestly hurt putting it that low but 🤷🏻♂️
My personal ranking, though I'm still waiting for my Violence Unimagined pre-order and I only just finished collecting their discography so the bottom half may change in time:
1. A Skeletal Domain
2. Torture
3. Gore Obsessed
4. Vile
5. Gallery of Suicide
6. The Bleeding
7. The Wretched Spawn
8. Eaten Back to Life
9. Red Before Black
10. Bloodthirst
11. Kill
12. Butchered at Birth
13. Tomb of the Mutilated
14. Evisceration Plague
I know there are some seriously controversial placings in it, but something I love about CC is that their discography is so varied that almost no two fans have the same opinions of their albums. All are at least very good death metal albums - they all just tick different boxes, so whether you like speed, groove, technicality, or atmosphere, they all have something for you.
This is a pretty solid ranking!
Your list shows your age. Most CC fans who have been there from day 1 wouldn't rank ANY Corpsegrinder albums before The Bleeding. Your list sucks!
@@lbds9555 Amen.
Really enjoy your descriptions of each album. My ranking would be different but I would describe them the same way. Stabbed in the throat from gallery tho... pats first song and its savage
I love the "never ending riff" that starts it. Gallery has to be one of their most proggy albums, many songs have really strange structures.

Vile is a killer record! They’re all killer lol it’s hatd
Im gonna get flack for this but
15 Eaten back to life
14 Butchered at birth
13 The Bleeding
12 Tomb of the Mutilated
11 Vile
10 Skeletal Domain
9 Kill
8 Red Before black
7 Evisceration Plague
6 Gore Obsessed
5 Touture
4 Gallery of suicide
3 The Wretched spawn
2 Violence Unimagined
1 Bloodthirst
Not a fan of Barnes I see lol
subbed to cus of this quality review
hey thanks
Here's my ranking:
15: A Skeletal Domain (I'm sorry)
14: Eaten Back to Life
13: Gore Obsessed
12: Vile
11: The Bleeding
10: Gallery Of Suicide
9: Evisceration Plague
8: The Wretched Spawn
7: Tomb Of The Mutilated
6: Red Before Black
5: KILL
4: Torture
3: Violence Unimagined
2: Butchered At Birth
1: BLOODTHIRST
I love all of their records for a different reason, and I believe they have no bad albums. Also, The last 7 are pretty much interchangeable besides Butchered At Birth and Bloodthirst.
Hell yes! Bloodthirst is fucking savage!
The Bleeding #11 bwahaha. Their #1 selling album of all time. GTFOOH 👎🏽
@@Lilmacmcmo It's just my opinion bro
Yep bloodthirst is their master work. Doesn’t get nearly enough praise

My top 5 CC albums:
1. The Bleeding
2. Tomb of the Mutilated
3. Vile
4. Gallery of Suicide
5. Butchered at Birth
honestly all 5 are interchangeable depending on my mood.
honorable mentions: Bloodthirst, Kill
Hell yeah old school!
Violence Unimagined would be somewhere in the top 3 for me. My list has always been
14: Evisceration Plague
13: Bloodthirst
12: Torture
11: Red Before Black
10: A Skeletal Domain
9: Gallery of Suicide
8: Eaten Back to Life

4: Gore Obsessed
3: Tomb of the Mutilated
2: Butchered at Birth
1: The Wretched Spawn
Pretty sick having wretched spawn at number one!

1. Kill
2. The Wretched Spawn
3. Torture
4. Tomb of the Mutilated
5. The Bleeding
6. Butchered At Birth
7. Red Before Black
8. Violence Unimagined
9. Gallery of Suicide
10. A Skeletal Domain
11. Bloodthirst
12. Gore Obsessed
13. Evisceration Plague
14. Vile
15. Eaten Back To Life
Again, I think with the exception of some at the very top and at the very bottom, this could be swapped a great deal. And I've only listened to Violence Unimagined once in its entirety as of yet.
Top 5 is right on 🤙🏻
1. Violence Unimagined
2. Torture
3. Vile
4. The Bleeding
5. Tomb of the Mutilated
Torture is also in my Top 3. He has the most brutality and heaviness ever recorded. It's like having your head violently torn off by a sledgehammer at every moment, it's almost transcendantal. I love it.
So perfect! Insanely brutal but also crazy catchy!
The live cannibalism album is also amazing. I rarely like live albums like I do this one. Best version of Hammer Smashed face ever recorded.
That’s a great live album! Listen to that pretty frequently
I honestly dont have any problem with your cannibal corpse rankings, i know its very difficult to Rank such awesome discography 👍

Hoping Torture is played in full for the 10 year anniversary in 2022. That album and Bloodthirst are prime CC to me.
That’d be amazing! I don’t think that’s something they do but if they do I’ll be there immediately

Wretched spawn is so underrated lol love that album so much

Excellent list! I’m actually going through a CC renaissance, and haven’t really listened to them much since before A Skeletal Domain.
LOVE Blotted Science! Websters bass is definitely integral to cannibal's sound and making them unique among their peers
Funny thing, I got the torture record as an Easter gift, my first cannibal record was kill, and I agree the wretched spawn is amazing, and I gots lots of love for gallery

12. Tomb Of The Mutilated
13. Butchered At Birth
14. Kill
15. Evisceration Plague
N1 album for me is 'Torture', for one simple reason... *THA SCOUUURGE OF IIIIIRON*
A true classic!
My absolute favourite CC album, and maybe even my favourite American Death Metal Album ever: Kill!
Super killer record!
Where do you place their EP? (Worm Infested)
Tbh I'm not a big cannibal corpse fan but evisceration plaque song got me into some of their music
Banger of a song!
Fucking amazing album man! Just had to put it when I honestly felt it deserved but yknow.. every list is different!
Evisceration Plague is split for me as well, my main problem is that there are like no drum fills, but it probably has my favorite Cannibal guitar tone. I'm also one of those that puts The Wretched Spawn at the bottom haha, I just think it has the fewest highlights.
Lol I’m definitely in the minority with the WS love!
Eaten back to life last?! Skull full of maggots is THE classic
I know man it was a painful placement lol
I’m pretty new to cc, and new to discog surfing. Do you have a method to listening to a bunch of albums? Because certain albums sort of sound niche to me when listened to once, but idk if it’s easy to listen to 14 smth albums 3 times. Just want to know because it’s really impressive that you guys do this for a living
P.s: personally I love the Red Before Black album art, there perspective of getting stabbed from someone blood-shot pissed off looks and sounds terrifying.
Hell yeah!
100% agree with eaten back to life
Man your list is almost like mine except my fav by Them is The Bleeding and Then Torture.
1 The Bleeding
2 Torture
3 Tomb of the Mutilated
4 Bloodthirst
5 Kill
But ranking Cannibal for me is hard,
The bleeding is great definitely the best album Chris Barnes ever did
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 yeah for sure, and those riffs/solos on that album just sticks in you’re head, only problem i have with it is that imo Force Fed Broken Glass should have ended the album and not An Experiment in Homicide.
cc should stand for Consistantly cool. I think my top pick would be ....
* Listens to them all*
Um yeah.
Cheers
Yeah Kill has insane production!
Violence unimaged does get better every time I listen to it!
"Beer with blood splatter" i would have called it toilet bowl after a UTI lol. CC ARE KINGS 🤘
my cannibal corpse albums ranked:
1 - eaten back to life
2 - tomb of the mutilated
3 - butchered at birth
4 - the bleeding
Also you should rank all the cannibal corpse albums covers rate every albums art cover
that could be fun!
Hey man! Can you do your top 20 Corpse songs?
Oooh that’s a fun idea
My top three: Bleeding, Gallery of Suicide and Gore Obsessed :)
I can definitely get behind the Bleeding lol
I may disagree with your list(it's all opinion, fuck it ), but i can certainly appreciate your knowledge and breakdown of each individual release with very well thought out honest review of the best Death Metal band of all time(imo). Close Second...Vader!! That's another discussion. Good shite, take care! \M/
Hey thanks dude!
My top 5
1.tomb of the mutilated is always the best and unbeaten album for me.
2.the bleeding
3.bloodthirst
4.gallery of suicide
5.butchered at birth
