I really hope CC just delays a 30th anniversary Eaten Back to Life tour, I'd pay a lot of money to go to to that tour. I'll break my neck to Buried in the Backyard
I love this aspect of CC. It’s a huge reason that I love Slayer too. I heard a deicide song recently (a pretty old song, as I haven’t followed their entire career) and it seems they have at times lost their way. CC? Not. At. All.
One of the main reason I love Cannibal Corpse is how Alex is influenced by so many bands and genres out of Death Metal. All the prog elements in Cannibal Corpse he brings and his love for Rush etc. is very interesting. It's refreshing to have guys like this that are not death metal only 24/7. Also they just keep getting better and heavier they're a good example of keeping the bar high in terms of quality. Love 'em
I've never been a CC fan besides the hits, but ever since Violence Reimagined dropped I've been listening to the entire album on repeat. This album definitely reignited my love for extreme metal, thank you CC!
Alex is one of the nicest, most important people in death metal. Always great with fans, and simply a powerhouse of a bassist. Thanks for this interview and great job with it.
I wouldn't mind if other members would have vocal parts in songs. Also Pat is awesome but just hearing one song with Erik you can tell the riffs were fresh and just kicked ass.
Great interview, man. Loved it. I saw one with Corpsegrinder where he said the same thing about Vince, they just tell him the record name and he goes off. So pumped for this album cause it’ll be my first time being here for a CC album release, and my birthday is 3 days so I’ll take it as an early birthday gift too.
The Steve Harris of death metal. I always thought the Hammer Smashed Face picture sucked, now I know why. Hopefully they did a proper remastering of Butchered At Birth, that remains one of my top albums from this band.
A cartoon for eaten back to life? I really hope Alex thinks about this more... he should push it. If they went to music video route with that- maybe they should write Eaten back to life as a song. It could be about a cannibal eating a cursed body and that corpse would reanimate. It could be the spiritual successor ( continuation) of necrogenic resurrection wherein the reanimated corpse takes revenge on the cult
cant recognize him now with that beard lol. alex webster is a goddamn legend not just in death metal but all of rock. his incredible bass playing is phenomenal
What an inspiration. Every album's cycle I watch as many interviews with Alex Webster's I can't, because he always shows up on these sorts of small casts. He also shows up and a lot of the gear ones. And talks to lots of websites. And I find him an incredible inspiration. I even bought his book. Anyway thanks for having Alex Webster
Album #15. It's so fresh. Expanding our horizons. So inspirational. It's not the same album over and over again? Never. It's genuinely so brutal. Technical. And brutal.
Aww I'm spewing CC can't come back and play the same venue, I miss the Arena. Keen for a new venue for a new album. CC was in my top fav gigs. Rad interview although I'm left wondering what Alex had for dinner
The first time I seen Cannibal Corps was at the Arena in Brisbane for the Kill tour than the next time was at the hifi bar. If they came to the Gold coast I don't no if there would be any decent venues here to host these guys or if there would be a big enuff metal scene here to support them. If they did come here you would see me up the front somewhere for sure
Me too man, but thankfully Erik Rutan is literally the best replacement they could ever have. I've listened to the album all the way through 2x now, and you can definitely tell Erik is doing what he does best
I’d be lying if I said no haha I’ve been doing this a very long time, even had Corpsegrinder on the show years ago, doesn’t matter how cool they are and they are people too, I still get a buzz from it
I really hope CC just delays a 30th anniversary Eaten Back to Life tour, I'd pay a lot of money to go to to that tour. I'll break my neck to Buried in the Backyard
it's too bad Pat couldn't work with Erik on this album with lead guitar stuff. Hope Pat makes a comeback....even doing his own thing. Miss that dude
I love that Cannibal has stayed true to their music. That doesn't happen a lot nowadays. Keep it metal everybody!

ALEX WEBSTER KING OF THE BASS PLAYER SPECTOR...LEGENDARY NEVER DIES....GREETINGS FROM POLAND MAREK

The pride of Akron NY. Alex is legendary.

Greatest metal bassist ever 🤘🏼

Their new album is already one of my favorite by them, it is pummeling and ferocious... Such a huge inspiration

The new album is amazing!
As a fellow metalhead , I also have a dog.. Her names Beefy, a badass Alsatian.
Love your show mate. Keep on bringing the great guests! Cheers.
Thanks mate!
I have a labradoodle and you will often hear her jump in haha
Appreciate the support!
Alex has always come across as very polite and decent. I am proud to have been a fan since 1991

Love the new album
Turn up the bass in the next album! Tired of not hearing enough of the sickest bassist in the industry! Tomb of the Mutilated had it right.

I always thought he was a scary guy from seeing him onstage, but wow he's a chill and nice dude too! Haha!
I don't go to shows. I'm in Australia. I WILL go to to CC show if they come.

this interview is great!
Brilliant album from the original death metal band unimagined!
Cannibal is great but nowhere close to the “original” death metal band

It is such a freaking shame that this album was recorded without Pat O'Brien. Oh man, poor guy. I was so hoping that he would come back to the band..

Erik Rutan 🤮

Rutan is the man, really happy he is in the band 🤘
Rutan sucks compared to O’Brien’s guitar playing. I wonder if they gave him the boot cuz he won’t be able to leave the USA for a while.
Rutan doesn’t suck compared to Pat. He’s just got a different style. Pat is more technical and Erik is more Groove Oriented.
I'm glad someone agrees with me for once
