I remember when Al Franken was forced to step down over some inappropriate behaviour he had shown years before. What he did was nowhere close to what has come out about Matt Gaetz and Franken also never was under any kind of criminal investigation.

McCain is out of control and argumentative and I can't believe that her mother, the epidemy of refinement, had any part in raising her! I would prefer Anna Navarro any day, any time over McCain. Meghan gives me a headache with her high pitched voice, talking insistently, and taking every comment she doesn't like as a personal affront. Unfortunately, John McCain's legacy of caring, calmness, and meeting in the middle style was buried with him. His daughter, Meghan McCain is cantankerous, disrespectful, and does not represent the guidelines of journalism. I have been devoted to "The View" since the Barbara Walters and Whoopi is doing a fine job stepping into her shoes, but Joy might throw in the towel if Meghan is allowed to continue down this odious path. Who's in charge?????? Please bring civility back and let's have more discussions and less bickering. Thank you.

@@zapkvr - What does have to do with party affiliation? When you're voted in, you are voted in. When the party you belong to kicks you out, you retain your mandate as it belongs to you and not to the party. She'll have to re-run under more problematic circumstances, though, since the GOP is likely to set up a candidate against her and she's cut off from the party's funding. So she'll run against a GOP candiate and a Democrat candidate. The GOP got rid of her in their own ranks. That does not mean that she vanishes into thin air.
I don't care if Megan McCain was right, she is still ridiculously annoying. She can make her point in a better way then just yelling all the time. As far as I’m concerned sex trafficking isn’t a political issue. It’s a legal and moral issue and anyone involved with it should be thrown under a jail cell. McCain says the GOP is embarrassed, but they should be appalled and doing something about it. Sex traffickers are the grimiest of the grimy and what they do is horrible.
It's called due process. He denies the accusations, and until proven guilty, should not be removed from anything. If every person accused of something like this needs to be removed from their job, elected office, etc., how would you like it if I said you sexually assaulted me?
