The problem is that McCain always made everything about herself even if it was not. And she’s always so quick to criticize everybody else and defend Donald Trump she deserved all the criticism she got
“Everyone is being mean to me because I have bad takes on everything!” Poor her.
She was and is mean to Rep. Ilhan Omar for years, lying about her and her family as well. She knows how to dish it, but can't take it back a mild version of it.

Megan is hostile and used it as a defense mechanism. She attacked many guests just as harshly as Joy was with her. Mental health is important, however if you're going to give hostility you better be able to handle it back. If not, change your tude.
Before Joy said she didn't miss MeAgain, MeAgain relentlessly interrupted Joy while she was trying to make a point. She was purposely being annoying.
What Joy said was not a big deal. Megan knew damn well she was missed by nobody. She set herself up to look stupid in that moment.
NO sympathy from me.... NONE. Then she had the nerve to go on Hannity and complain about the show. She always claims she’s so tough, a political animal, she can handle it, political analyst, blah blah blah. She is such a phony .
What is missing is the THOUSANDS of times she was monstrous towards the rest of the cast. WHICH IS WHY Joy said “I did not miss you!” In the months that she was gone, the cast got along well!!! Once she returned, all of the chaos came!

Meghan McCain disrespected Joy Behar on air first. McCain continuously cut Behar off and was disrespectful first. I’ll never forget Meghan saying “It’s your job to listen to me” live on air to Joy. Joy has been doing this show for 20 years. Meghan called her a “bitch “ live on air once. The disrespect came from Megan first. Joy didn’t owe it to Meghan to be respectful.
She never allowed any of her ideas to be critiqued she just talked over everyone until the clock ran down.
I disagree with Ana on this one. No sympathy here. meghan didn't have the relationship with her coworkers, which was her own doing, to expect she could joke that way and it would be taken well. I don't go along with jokes from people I don't like. After all the toxicity meghan brought to the show, Joy's reaction was perfectly understandable. As for the leaks, again, meghan was the center of the toxicity behind the scenes. The leaks were about her likely because she was responsible for nearly everything that was worth leaking. She was likely insufferable behind the scenes just as she was on air. She caused her own issues, yet now wants to play victim, which is quite on brand these days.
…and saying "you missed me" (not something like "you must have missed me") is, by itself, offensive.
Especially as it was directly preceded be Meghan being extremely rude towards Joy, as many in this comments section have pointed out.

No... Anyone who gives a pass, even a little, to Meghan McCain on this, clearly didn't watch the show. If you did watch the show, you'd know Meghan added to the toxicity at the show. Meghan was part of the reason why Abby Huntsman left. Meghan is the reason why Sherry Shepard never made a second appearance on the show as a guest host, when Meghan was on... Meghan behind the scenes even tried to get one of the makeup artists fired for simply liking a comment on Twitter.
The examples Meghan gave about moments on the show, with full context knowing the topics they were talking about, anyone would've had the same reactions that Joy and Whoopi gave. Meghan also bad mouthed guests on the show, even during the interviews. Meghan has made public statements about disliking 'tell all' books and then writes one herself. Now Meghan is getting her 15 minutes bad mouthing people who had her back when her father died. If the show was THAT bad, why did her mother just guest host about a week or two ago?
McCain put herself in all of those situations. Even witch Joy, why would you ask someone that clearly does not like you if they missed you? All Joy said was “No, I didn’t miss you.” Was Joy supposed to lie? Take your cape off Ana, That was all McCain’s fault.

Meghan went on the show, acting like she's the final authority on all things. There's a reason all the other cohorts responded to her, hostility. It's because Meghan was awful before she got pregnant, and she was awful after giving birth! Even, her mother cringes at her behavior!
It's not just what Meghan said but it was the rude, hostile, toxic way she said it. She was rude, condescending and yet, frequently uninformed/ignorant. She was difficult to watch because she was almost always dishonest and vindictive. I'm sorry but she deserved the backlash she got and I feel no sympathy for her whatsoever! She was a total spoiled brat with no respect for anyone. She was rudest to Joy though. I don't know how anybody could put up with her bad attitude, so I give The View ladies credit!
Meghan should have been fired 3 yrs ago. She was horrible on The View.....self righteous, nasty & condescending.

I agree with Cenk. Meghan often uses crying as a way to get sympathy when things are not going her way, so since that was a pattern prior to giving birth, of course she'd use postpartum as a current reason for crying. That is not to say that she did not suffer from postpartum, it means she would be crying no matter what. In terms of Joy's comment being mean on air, Meghan goated/provoked her. She knows Joy's personality and that she doesn't particularly like her, why would she put herself in a position where Joy could respond to "you know you miss me?" As an Aries, if you ask me a question or make a statement that I disagree with, you're going to get a response of exactly how I feel. Period. Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'.

Most of the times Whoopie had to cut her off because they were telling her to wrap it up for break but Meghan just didn't want to stop talking. So yeah Whoopie had to be harsh. As for the clip about her feelings being hurt she was saying some harsh things so at that moment Joy probably didn't miss her. I sure didn't miss her and have extremely enjoyed the show since her departure. She was regularly rude, condescending, and over talked her co-host. So she can dish it but can't take it.

If you feel sympathy for her, you must not have watched the show. She was rude, hateful and would never stop talking. She would talk over everyone constantly. She has taken no responsibility for her actions and how she created the environment she is complaining about.

I saw it in real time and Meghan was interrupting Joy constantly, & when Meghan try to deflect, Joy wasn't having it. I'm not certain why Meghan's lack of self-awareness continues to surprise me, but it does. She absolves herself completely of any responsibility for the toxicity of the work environment, when she was constantly aggressive, condescending, and bullied her colleagues most days. Had it been any other workplace, she would have been fired long ago for the unprofessional behaviour. Even her mother admitted publicly to cringing at times at Meghan's rudeness. She couldn't even do fluff pieces without the attitude - I recall one time she passed on answering because the one light topic 'wasn't interesting' to her. Whoopi coddled her for several years before giving up. You can't keep expecting good faith of people when you are completely unwilling to return it. Also interesting that she railed on people for writing tell-alls when that's exactly what she did right after leaving the View.

I remember that episode with Whoopi telling her to stop talking because Meghan started yelling and Whoopi was trying to cut to break.
And McCain was yelling over everyone including the audience response. And about the pregnancy excuse millions of women have babies and I'm sure millions suffer from postpartum depression but the majority of these women do not use this as an excuse for behavioring in the manner she did regularly. Plus she behaved like this even before she was pregnant. For once I agree totally with Cenk. Normally I don't agree with him totally.

As a mental health professional, I am glad the show addresses mental health issues, but Meghan was just a wet blanket for too long. I appreciate Ana's concern and expression on postpartum depression/anxiety but with Meghan it exacerbated her self-righteous type attitude.

Post-partum is a very serious issue, I had 2 close friends that went through it. It should not be used as a get out of jail free card.
I think then one must also use discernment. Meghan is also blaming a SNL skit for making her a laughing stock; no ownership for any of her actions or statements. If you actually watch the show Joy has every right to say that. Sometimes The fights would get so disgusting they are slamming things, calling each other out of their names, Meghan would walk off and and sometimes continue fighting while going to commercial break. Joy was speaking at that time. Meghan interrupted her as she always did when she wanted to make a comment. Joy said, I'm talking. Tried to get Meghan to let her finish, but Meghan just got louder and talked over her. That's what Meghan always did. At that point, Meghan said you missed me and missed arguing with me & continued with the You missed me, you know you did. That is when Joy got pissed off and said No, she didn't. You did not play that whole clip so NO, I definitely did not feel sorry for Meghan

TYT, this is some major gaslighting you're doing. For any of us who watched The View, we saw Meghan being rude, disrespectful, and bratty time and time again. Whoopi was one of her biggest supporters in the beginning but couldn't take the bad behavior any more. MM just used talking points from Fox news and couldn't articulate her beliefs in an authentic way. Her political views, though, were not what annoyed everyone. It was her rudeness.
