    One thing i do kinda miss from your older scp reading is the occasional comment from Dr.Miller at the end of the document. I thought it really helped with humanizing him and made him more than just some faceless foundation member. But other than that your reading are top-notch and honestly the highest quality scp reading out there, keep up the good work regardless!

      Well, the two are pretty much the same, really. The issue is motive: Is it benevolent or malevolent?
      The Alpha-Prime strain may seem to indicate the latter, but it could be sign of desperation: The entity responsible may have decided that a few human deaths are going to be necessary in order to protect life on Earth as a whole.

      @@emberthecatgirl8796 The issue is not about money being put towards space exploration, the more the better. It's about _who_ has control of the money. Billionaires aren't doing it out of their personal love for space or the advancement of science, they are doing it in the look for profit, and a lot of it. They want to mine asteroids to be trillionaires, and build private space stations and colonies for them to live out the incoming climate catastrophe. There will be advancements in technology and science for us, sure, but only because they aren't allowed to copyright scientific knowledge itself (also, most of said knowledge already came/would come from the public sector, so it's not like we wouldn't be able to do it without them). People seem to forget that Bezos would literally sell organs on Amazon if he could, since it would be profitable. Billionaires aren't your friends, people.

Billionaires still have to have make money somewhere be it different businesses or profiting from going into space and mining asteroids or sending other people into space, instead of the government taking money and using it to make overly expensive programs that go over budget.

      They're not random, they're used to prevent unauthorized access. If you're granted access to the file, you'll also be given an anti-memetic agent to protect you from the memetic agents. If you're not authorized, the memetic agents will kill you before you can read the file.
