What sort of pipe did you go with as a replacement and what were the results power wise? Thanks in advance, great review btw oh one last question did you ever flatten batteries or get stuck on a trail with battery failure? :)
Thanks for video. 200 hrs on piston is ok if you do only slow technical riding, I am just now changing piston after 118hrs on my 2018 and its about time. I raced 2.5hrs hare and hounds from 94hrs(first owner used bike for green laneing only), last race total mudder, bike was running hot(no fan on mine). Blow by on piston and slight groove in nikasil near powervalve, so getting new coating from Aptec matching perfectly new piston. My genuine Sherco piston does not have dark coating like vertex and was 135euro incl rings and pin. I mix motul800 1:60. 60hrs max on piston for me now.
thanks for info, i raced erzberg rodeo with my bike but i have fan, bike did just two time lose water after getting really hot but it was in summer when i did come crazy training in forest with full time on clutch.
Seriously thinking of one of these or a beta 200rr race edition, female rider, 5 foot 7, 58kg, riding regular enduro and hare and hounds races. Did you have any electrical issues or issues with the electric start? How is the bottom end of the sherco, I've had a brief ride of a 2019 Sherco factory 250 and was very impressed. How was the weight when picking the bike up in technical terrain? My last bike was a 2019 ktm 150 xc-w, I find myself wanting more torque.
good review, mine sherco 300 se factory is like 90 hours and runs also perfect. I had to change factory jetting as well. No problem with clutch. Map switch went out though after few hours and starting bike sucks compared to KTM. is your pipe also black from oil after each ride? Mine is regardless which oil I use.
When you buy the new bike are you going to stay with the 250 or are you going to go to the 300? I'm riding a Husky 250 now but I am thinking I might move to a 300 Sherco soon
Thank you for sharing your experience. What is the temperature and elevation your ride. Could you also share your needle number. it is not clear from the video. The biggest problem I have is clutch fading. i will try your suggested oil.

Pilot jet 38; Main jet 170; Needle N8RE and it seems he uses 1.8% premix oil
i use 38,170 and n8re like you. I live in 300m and about 20-30 temperature. If you have 2018-2019 it comes with ADLER clutch and its fading, I suggest you to get new plates from 2020, and motul trans 10w40 oil and 5.1 oil in clutch lever

@@TheDirtbikeRider Thank you so much. I have switched to Motul 10w40 Trans. I am very happy. Now I have gotton finally the N8RE needle. I will make the changes and see how it is doing.
Your closest Sherco dealer should be able to get whatever you need. I would imagine as these bikes get more popular you'll start seeing more aftermarket parts and availability through online retailers.
Aris Torm...depends where in the world you are...parts within 4days in mainland Europe, similar in Australia where Sherco is very popular, starting to picking up in US now...
After 200 hours on my SE (2 Str.) Sherco 300 2017', riding a lot of extreme too, I have very similar experience and maintenance issues, even less than you, that I consider very acceptable; parts are cheap and quick delivered (France is easy, ok). Same first genuine piston ! Maintenance is really simplified, and I am always back home ! Cheaper than KTM for sure. Will buy a new one soon in 300 again. Enjoy !
Tony Bender 2017 is old style powervalve engine, totaly different jetting than on 19-21 Factory... I ride at 0-1500 feet 15-25 C' and found 170/42 best with Suzuki needle...
The power valve is similar to that of the late model CR bikes. But honestly, all these bikes are so similar I'm surprised they aren't all suing each other for it.
Please make a video about the piston change, i'm curious about what the piston and the cylinder looks like after 200 hours.
Yes please!
Great review man. I believe it's honest and right on point. I feel the same way about my 20 300.
I am not paid by Sherco, so this is 100% Honest
Nice review, I've just ordered a 2022 300 factory, can't wait!
Great bikes.
I have a 2017 Beta 300 RR with over 300 hours. No top end needed yet. Not raced, just ride mountain trails.
Thanks for the review man!
Cheers from Canada 👍👍

Do you find it hard to get replacement parts? Or do you find them expensive?
Thanks for video.

Nice video, thanks for video! Do you gonna buy 250 again or 300?
new bike will be 300 for sure
@@TheDirtbikeRider I think, I also will buy 300 but next 2021 springs
Grenat vidéo. Thanks. One question for you. Why 250 instead of 300 for hard enduro? Enough torque at low revs?
It’s better to have 300, but 250 is more fun to ride. 300 is making riders more better because you don’t need good skills with clutch like on 250
Great video, very good information.
Are those the standard handlebars they seem a little taller?
i use rental twin wall 997 because standard handlebar was too low for me
Awesome video thanks! why did you choose 250 and not 300? I am buying a sherco and i don't know witch one. (just sold my ktm xc 250 2018 carburated)

Hi mate just bought a 2020 250 se can you tell me which way the petrol tap works?... across is off I take it
What premix oil do you use - i have the same bike ... want to know what u are using
motul 710 and 100ml on 6 liters of fuel
Nice video!
Do you know what year cry 450 clutch plates fit the sherco?
Thanks again.
according to sherco's forum Honda crf450r 2003 will match 2018 and up (both friction and steel plates)

I recommend Rekluse Clutch RMS-4813, its made for CRF450 02-18

Perhaps your bike runs a little rich or you put more oil in gasoline.
you have that problem, because you have wrong jetting inside your carb, use smaller numbers !

Hey! Im thinking about buying a SE-R 125 racing. Do you think it will be the same? Like a good bike, and worth the money?
Please let me know which RADIATOR BRACES you use?
they are from artafon.com
I do have same, very strong, need to check for name
Hallo do you have problems with starting your bike ?
i like kickstarter
Great Job, Damir
Really nice video man! Congrats 👏
How the starter works? Any problems with them?
after 270 hours i never had starter problem on sherco
how about getting parts ?

i have small problem, but i can get all parts in 2 weeks

Cheers mate, love my 300 sef. But buying the 250 ser next year. No probs with mine after 7000hrs

Do you mean 7000 km?
Yep 325hrs, 7722km. Replaced top end 200hrs and regulator fried at 250hrs. I use motul 7100 10W60
2017 sef-r. Awesome bike.
yes they are really nice quality bikes !
Hi, thanks for the video, if you can make a video on the piston change that would be awesome! there is no one doing it for the shercos! thanks.

It's a Sherco engine. Made by Sherco in france. If it's a copy of anything, it's a copy of Bultaco.
