      I bet it if you just run a home through it slap a piston and rings in it you might be surprised at how good it’ll still run and how good of compression it’ll still make

    I had 2 of them. There fun the gas cap is where you fill the 2 cycle oil its a nice setup. When you get it running check the voltage if it over charges it will slow the motor significantly. Also you can adjust the timing on the front of the motor.

    the forward and reverse is a switch it lets the starter turn the motor backwards to get reverse the motor was made to run both ways strange motors they sell for 1200 to 2000 running over here in Canada well worth putting money in it

    Be advised the small end needle bearings look uncaged, you may want to either remove them with a magnet or grease them so they will stay where they are at, if this is the case.

    That cup on the gas cap is the 2 stroke oil measure, it should have a mark on it to measure out oil to a full tank of gas.

    I'm not sure how accurate it is but from the quick glance I had on these things they had begun life in 1963 as a 3 whheler then they'd made them 4wheelers by 1969 when Harley was sold to AMF either way somewhat of a novel piece of Harley history . That thing was probably built better then some of the things they built today haha

    HD golf carts are a rare find & one that runs & is in as good of condition as that one is in, can sell for probably anywhere from $1,000 on up. Defiantly worth spending the money to get it running, FYI the starter/gen spins one way for forward & the opposite way for reverse. the headlights probably don't come on until it is running that way if left on they won't drain the battery

    • @williamevans6468
      @williamevans6468 3 роки тому

      Danny Sosa, Read your manual to see what the compression should be and then run a compression or leak down test to see if you have enough compression. Typically, an engine will start smoking because the rings are going bad. I'm not familiar with your bike but that is where I would start at atleast.
