    I watched both your videos on the golf cart. I have a 1973 Model D3. Yours is a 1970, from the serial number "HO" at the end. I didn't notice anyone giving you all the info in one spot so, I'll put it here for you if you're still playing around with it. The engine's 245cc and it runs in both directions. The directional lever switches the polarity of the starter/generator, running the engine whichever direction is selected on the lever. The cart weighs in at 694lbs. My '72 FLH motorcycle weighs 777, fully dressed as a comparison. Top speed is 10-15 mph. It is a golf cart, after all. As for lubrication, the most popular oil people are using these days in them is TCW-3 (that's a marine 2-stroke oil) at an 85:1 ratio (1-1/2 oz/gallon) into regular octane. I use ethanol-free premium in mine (actually, I use that fuel in all my small engines) for the sake of the carb because corn-laced gas just ruins everything it touches.
    Your cart looks pretty nice. There are a lot of places in the Internet where you can pick-up all the goodies to fully-accessorize your cart and make it into a real head-turner. Do an image search for your cart and see what others have done and have fun. Oh, one more thing; The starter/generator belt is a special order that you won't find in your local parts store. In fact, those belts spend more time flying off than not and the right belt isn't that expensive. I did notice someone advised you to jack it up when running in your shop. Good advice. Centrifugal clutches will surprise you if you're not ready for them.

    I used to have one of these as a kid. It was speed limited going forward but not in reverse. I'd do reverse stoppies on it all the time, one time I almost flipped the thing over backwards doing it too hard! It's was a blast and I rode it on 2 wheels more than 3.

    these golf carts are street legal in many cities and towns. = very popular especially being a Harley. Great for work around the house/farm also. Electric preferred now, but still very cool and useable for many things.

    All Harley's 2 stroke stuff from back when AMF owned them was from a company called Aeromacchi in Italy, which at the time was a subsidiary of AMF, who also made Bowling Balls, and other Sporting Goods obviously Harley Davidson Motorcycles...and Golf Carts.

      @@lifeononeweel3008 because I used to make riding videos and two stroke repair videos, but stopped riding due to injuries. And making the repair videos was too time consuming for not enough viewers who appreciated what I was doing. I would thoroughly make videos showing every step and how to diagnose the problem properly, leak down test the engines before and after, tear down different carbs, suspenion, and so on. I still got a lot of my videos uploaded but have them set to private so it shows none.

    • @randomprecisionmotors3130
      @randomprecisionmotors3130 3 роки тому

      A lot of people are of the opinion that the quality of Harley Davidsons went WAY downhill is because of it's acquisition by AMF, who was more noted for their Sporting Goods Equipment, or more specifically Bowling Balls. Which is not to say an AMF Harley ANYTHING is worth mucho donero to a collector nowadays, especially if it still by some miracle runs. They (Harley Davidson) even fielded a Motocross team with bikes built by Aeromacchi in Italy, Jimmy Ellis and Marty Tripes being the notable riders, who I believe both later went to Honda, and they even won a few things on the National Circuit despite lackluster performance of the bikes...

      I believe it’s the crank seal…when you have to start with choke when motor is already hot.
      That’s the issue with the ‘67 I’m about to restore. From all I’ve read you’ve got to split the case. The air mixture gets off around the seal so It’ll start hard and sputter out at speed.
