Very good review. I like that you establish pretty early on in the video that you can separate bad writing from plot lines that aren't particularly interesting to you. I genuinely agree with a lot in this video
W explanation on Miguel's, Robby's, and Johnny's endings for the series. The amount of Robby stans on the subreddit saying Robby needs to win just because his life sucked and he needs to win because he hasn't won a tournament is insane.
I ain't even a fan of Robby but I swear if it was Tory being injured to let Sam win I would have flown all the way from Australia to the US to punch Hayden in the face.
@@xlinkkaisaintsrow2365not really bc Miguel will already be in the final , Axel is the one that cooks Robby , either way one of them is ending up with Miguel in the final and losing 😂
49:32 it’s also true that the drama started before Sam and Tory, in the form of Demetri getting punched by Kreese and giving him a bad review on yelp. Truly it’s Demetri’s fault
I enjoyed part 2 and agree with a lot of points like how Robby glazers are insane, Johhny and Daniel arguing isn’t regression and makes sense, and how there are good scenes like Everyone realizing this is it and Robby getting his stuff together with himself and Miguel.
Kim knows that Johnny and Daniel took Kreese's knife, feel like that's gonna play into how she is in the last part after one of her students died basically because of a prank; She even mentions how Kreese was a timebomb ready to be set off, I don't think she was threatening them with that, she was warning them
Bruh I come home from school watch half of this but then I had to go to some Jewish kids party that ion care abt but I’ve watched half of this and this a W.
I dont care who wins the sekai tekai. I just dont want robby to drop out because of an INJURY. It would be so boring especially because he has already been injured before. It would just be an anticlimactic way of writing him out of the tournament. The writers should come up with something else.
I think that’s gonna be majority of the complaints if he does get injured. It has a big chance of being an unnecessary decision and would end up just making his fans even more mad and not care about his real ending but we’ll see how it affects him
I don’t think he’ll drop out. Most likely, Miguel will just take Kwon’s spot since it’s available and Cobra Kai is still owed a spot in the finals. (Silver mentioned to Kenny that team switching is really easy due to loopholes) Robby loses to Axel and Axel fights Miguel. It would be fitting to end where we began, Johnny and Miguel on Cobra Kai, doing good with it and being badass (in a non toxic way.)
Bizarre that people would be so critical of someone not liking a television show. It's subjective inherently it's like getting mad at someone because they don't like ketchup on their burgers. And how can a television show objectively be better than something?
wtf are you talking about? i never criticized anyone for disliking the show i criticize people who's reasons for disliking the show are stupid and blatantly show that they can't comprehend it
great editing and all, gj! I guess if you see it like a lifeaction-anime it does make more sense but I still found some things about 6.2 to be really annoying like Robby looking at his ex or gf or whatever for like seconds in the middle of the fight. He came across stupid as ever. But kinda that´s the editors/directors fault. The presentation was just dum. Least Miguell wasn´t unlikeable like he is most of the time. And yeah, the fart jokes and over all forced unbelieveable drama was kinda dragging Also the Mijagi-stuff. I don´t care to much
Episodes 6-7 are painful to watch. With a roster of annoying characters(specially Demetri), an old plot point that are rehashed(Danny and Johnny rivalry), character regression and pacing. Episode 8's ending is where it finally picked up. There's some things I enjoyed. Like the Iron dragon and chozen x kim relationship. 9 and 10 were amazing. The team battle of cobra kai vs miyagi do is probably my favorite fight from all the seasons. Seeing Kenny and Robby redeem themselves are so cathartic. Episode 10 all out brawl was also fun.
@ blood watch the scene like come on twin she took that man through there, while he was in no position to make a conscious decision now unless in part 3 they try and say nothing happen it’s #LockZaraUp
For me the series has struggled on whether it wants to be a drama about kids struggling with their life issues and finding discipline and growth in Martial Arts. (Which is what pulled me into the series in the first place) Or being a anime where group fights break out at the drop of a hat. It started doing too much of the latter. And to me at least it starts feeling goofy after a while. I think the moment where I knew the show was going off the rails. Is when Johnny, Kreese and Larusso are having what looks like street fight to the death. And at the last moment. Wait, wait, wait. Let's settle this... in a tournament. LMAO! What a silly script. This is when the show decided bah, screw the serious drama. Let's go full anime. The hero comes in to save his once nemesis, who's rebelling against his old master who's corrupted and evil. It's so corny you'd almost expect to find it growing in the middle of a corn field. Speaking of silly things. This final tournament for the finale. Good lord, feels like it was designed by some basement self proclaimed ninja master who's only reference for martial arts is the American Ninja Warrior TV Show mixed in with episodes of Survivor. At no point did I feel I was watching a martial arts tournament. More a cross between a TV game show and a 10 YO idea of what a cool karate competition would look like.
No, he was steamed that Robby was letting the entire team down. If Robby had been doing his best Miguel would have been fine with him. But he wasn't doing his best, he was throwing away opportunities to earn the team points.
You consider briefly dancing with another girl cheating on your girlfriend? Yeah, Dimitri sucks this season. You don't have to exaggerate to make him look bad.
My only issue with Miguel winning it all is what about the pact Robby and Tory made about the podium? How is that paid off? I mean, it's significant enough that the cobra kai instagram featured the clip. To be fair, this is under the assumption that Tory wins, which is more likely now. I just think that the podium talk can't be a red herring. Speaking of Tory and winning, I seriously hate how people say she needs to lose to realize "winning isn't everything" only to then say Sam needs it. Not gonna lie the whole sekai taikai winner discourse has tainted my view on moral victories because its clear that the people pushing them just want an excuse to get certain characters out the way while their favourite gets the win. Its so hypocritcal too, so Tory needs to realise winning aint shit but Sam needs a win? Bullshit either every character stops wanting that dub or don't have the lesson at all. If they make Tory have this lesson but not anyone else, imma crash out hard because its blatant double standards. And as for.that subreddit. the robby and tory scene is an obvious death flag gang idk why u put any stock in that scene as soon as i watched part 1 i knew there was no chance of both of them winning. like it was a VERY OBVIOUS death flag💀
@xopokery I mean, I knew it was a death flag to some extent after part 1. But not necessarily as in both won't win, but they win together. However, the twist is that they are on rival teams, so it adds that bitter-sweet element .
I gotta tell you, I'm not the biggest fan of Zara this season in terms of writing. I feel like with a lot of the antagonists in this show they are very multi-dimensional, where they are bad people but with a lot of trauma/motivation and the audience understands why they do what they do. With Zara, it just seems like her main thing is that she's "mean" and she sleeps with other peoples boyfriends, and we don't really know why she turned out this way. Even Kwon, who is clearly an unredeemable antagonist in the show, has reasonable motivations for his asshole-ness: his quest for power. As a student in Korea he was clearly overlooked just because he didn't follow lessons and thought differently than his peers and when Kreese came to him with the promise of power and status, he drank the Cobra Kai Cool Aid. Hell, even with Axel, we at least get a lot more in terms of his relationship with Wolf and why he is the way that he is. I just wish we got more screen time with Zara to really go deeper into her character.

@madax4972 maybe the Hawk and Diego stuff was cut for pacing. I do like the moment where they nod to each other.
