Dude people like Axel exist everywhere in real life. There are so many people who become desperate if a girl shows them even an inkling of kindness. Very realistic.

Just because something may be realistic, doesn't mean it isn't weak writing.
That would make sense in a show that isn’t grounded but cobra Kai is a show that is grounded so yes it does make it weak writing. Plus the point the comment mentions has to do with something that i think is very forced in the show.

That music from Robby vs Kwon was so good. Pure tournament arc goodness this season but having Miguel and Johnny fly back home only to immediately turn around seemed pointless
The music is heavenly. That Miguel and Johnny plot is pointless but is definitely the strongest part of episode 8 imo

Tbh my least favorite thing about the CK fandom is the bad faith arguments they resort to the moment your favorite character is somebody they don’t like. I’ve been called crazy shit just because my fav is Hawk lmao
I’d argue silver coming back wasn’t that bad.. as it’s clear he and the iron dragons will most likely be the endgame antagonists.. as for Kreese i feel the tragedy of his own student Kwon will finally be the moment that’ll make him rethink his ways of teachings.. and perhaps it comes all full circle with Miguel and Johnny.
I think Kreese will give Cobra Kai back to Johnny, and Miguel will be his captain as will Tory.

I know that she “caught” feelings for Robby I just didn’t think it was necessary, the conflict was already there so adding a random romance for the sake of “conflict” was just unnecessary. Axel catching feelings is fine but the way the show goes about it makes it look he’s “fake” like my brother stops fighting Miguel to help sam 😭 it’s a very unnatural anger imo
i think the reason why johnny and miguel go home is to integrate kenny payne into the story by needing a replacement for miguel, even tho kenny ended up replacing devon
The tournament is definitely go on they mentioned a bunch of times how death might happen in the tournament and they have to prepare for it

Imma just rank the kids of Cobra kai season 6 part 2 based on their characters.
Miguel: 9/10. Carried majority of part 2 and was just pure badass. His dynamic with Robby was awesome and showed his brotherly support to him when he realised he wasn't acting the wrong way to him in the first few episodes. His rivalry with Axel will be interesting to see in part 3.
Robby: 8/10. His distraction with Tory was kinda annoying, repetitive but understandable. However, his rivalry with Kwon was awesome and made his final fight against him his best moment in the show and made the fight that more impactful. His relationship with Zara was a bit of a meh to me but still he was overall good.
Hawk: 5/10. Pointless and just doesn't do anything in this season so far. aH was just... there, for no reason. His arc was completed in season 4 but he could have done way more than he was shown to do in s6. I don't have much hopes for him in part 3.
Demetri: 3/10. Disgraceful. Getting mad at Hawk for not going to the same collage as him, cheating on his girlfriend as her motivational talk to him didn't happen and mentioning MIT in every serious moment. Yeah not much to say other than the fact that he got absolutely butchered by the writers. Went from one of the best characters to probably the worst.
Kenny: 8/10. Made probably the best comeback in this whole show. He squashed his beef with Anthony and Devon and just overall improved soo much better than season 1. I'm still annoyed he had no interaction with robby since episode 1 and I wish we saw more of him. I'm still interested to see how he does in part 3 and his dynamic with Devon could go another step further.
Sam: 8/10. Not much to say about her other than the fact that this was probably her best season. She does her job well as a leader and shows her true kind and caring nature, this is especially shown with her dynamic with Tory and mainly Axel. At least she isn't cheating or starting beef for no reason like some of her previous seasons. overall she was good and the love triangle between her, Miguel and Axel will be interesting to see in part 3.
Tory: 7/10. The death of her mother felt like it never happened and at this point is just easily forgettable now and it wasn't't explored that deeply as it should been. Her rivalry with Zara had a lot of potential but wasn't even explored enough either. Her leadership as fighter in ep6 was good though as it shows that she does her job well until she was distracted in such a jarring way. Overall, descent but could been better.
Devon: 7.8/10. She was redeemed so well but I wish she did more in part 2. Her and johnny's dynamic was really enjoyable to see and shows that sort of father and daughter kind of relationship which was heart warming to see. Her chemistry with Kenny will be interesting to see in part 3.
Axel: 8/10. A lot of potential with his character. I like his character concept as a misunderstood and abused student but is also a near invincible fighter. He's just basically just Ivan Drago but like a karate kid version. His abusive sensei plot is good and kinda gives me dragon ball super Broly vibes. Dynamic with Sam was good and I'm interested to see his rivalry with Miguel in part 3
Zara: 7/10. Not much to say about her tbh. I like the way she fights and is shown to be an agile and skilled fighter. Her sassy influencer type of attitude was pretty funny though ngl. Her rivalry with Tory wasn't explored enough. Let's see how she does in part 3.
Kwon: 8/10. A perfect rival for Robby. A mix of Mike barnes and Chozen from the Karate kid trilogy. Basically a hot headed jerk who fully embraced cobra kai's mentality and philosophy and paid the price with his own life which made his death even more symbolic. Only two annoying this about him was that he wasn't as good of a fighter as he should have been. He should have lasted way longer against his fight with Robby and also the way he died to Axel was really stupid. Overall he was pretty good though

I agree with pretty much everything you said and thank god I’m not the only who thinks that Tory’s mom dying was such an after thought this part. Axel definitely has potential but with the way things typically go in the show I don’t really see him being written well in part 3. Kwon is one of the characters that I really enjoyed but he was so overhyped and short lived.

I think Kwon's death by Kreeses Blade will guilt him into giving Cobra Kai back to Johnny, and Miguel will use this opportunity to take the captains position alongside Tory. The tournament will continuenat the All Valley arena where it left off with Robby vs. Axel. This time, Robby will land some hits and expose a weakness in Axel but ultimately loses to him for Miguel to fight and defeat him in the final round. Tory will face Sam for the final time, and she will finally win fair and square and move on to the finals to face Zara. Tory vs. Zara is a match I feel could go either way but I'll be bold and predict Zara unexpectedly wins giving a tie between Cobra Kai and Iron Dragons that will be broken by a battle of the sensei's; Johnny vs. Wolf.
relived part 2 was really good cuz I got little nervous after part 1. I think in some way Johnny gets back cobra kai and wins the sekai tekai to complete his arc from season 1 with him and miguel, it only makes sense the show name is cobra kai and miguel and johnny are who started it all and that's like most people's fav character on the show aswell.
I’m more than relived that part 2 was good and absolutely the show has to end with Johnny and Miguel winning especially because Miguel and Johnny haven’t won since season 1

Really don’t understand his character at all, he’s a man that was triggered by a woman being attacked, when he was a young teen, when he saw Tori being harassed, the fact Amanda slapped him & he kept his cool, he may be a jerk to characters like Daniel, Miyagi, & Johnny, and will not hesitate to fight them….. but he would never harm a woman.

I love this video review bc I asked ALL the same questions and thought the same thing! The resolutions of rivalry w/some characters were pretty good but every questions he asked I was like right?! It’s not just me..esp the Axel one .. why is Axel mad that he tried to kiss Miguel’s girl? It makes sense Miguel got fed up but Axel really? The stares & shoves were intense but dude was acting like Sam was cheating on him w/miguel.. and I don’t get why they killed Kwon! I loved him for the reasons this guy said.. he was Robby, Miguel&hawk all in one if they were still in cobra Kai ..and the humor he brought to his d*ckness..
