    Very clever Wes! Nice addition to your shop sanding station, I like it!

    Very clever, Wes. I like this a lot. I'm thinking about dust collection for my shop too. You inspired me with this. You got a nice little helper there, it looks like she loves helping her dad.

    Little tip to help reduce snag is to run the lines over your shoulders and behind your neck, then down your sanding arm. I've done this for years with every DA sander and its just become second nature now ✌️

    Great idea. U can wrap the cord around the hose too and get tht out of the way.

    I would add an extension cord on your boom so you can just plug in your tool with the hose.

      Do it! But not like mine lol. Use a better hinge and maybe double up the plywood.

    stealth swap from hole saws to forstners... I predict picking up a second cheap shop vac. easier than pulling the hose out of that arm.

    • @WesHamstra
      @WesHamstra  3 роки тому

      Yeah, the plywood gummed up the hole saws and just caused burning. Forstner bits are way nicer. It’s nice having a second shop vac.

    I would think the hose would come off the hooks. I would have made the hooks into hoops. Still pull the hose through when you want but the hose wouldn’t come off the hooks while in use.

    • @WesHamstra

      That’s a possibility. I have been using it for a week now and that hasn’t happened yet.

    Cool idea I like it. I assume you have a shop vac to your vacuum box also. French cleats rule.

    • @WesHamstra
      @WesHamstra  3 роки тому

      The dust collector hooks up to the vacuum box.

    Nice work Wes! That's a very cute little helper that you've got there! I was wondering what you did about that electrical cord as well? 😉👍🤔

    • @WesHamstra
      @WesHamstra  3 роки тому

      Thanks. I just loop it around the hose and hang it on the same hooks the hose sits on. It works great.

    great job. you shuld use your downdraught table for routing as well as sanding. it will pull a lot of the crap away from you

    Nice work! I’m curious - what hose was used? Length and diameter? Thanks.

      The hose is listed in my Amazon store. Link in the description

    Why not just make a single S-hook and use it to hang the hose from any of the holes you created with the hole saws?

    I'm going to incorporate this into a vacuum cart and you can spray paint festool on the arm.
