  • A tripod takes up a ton of space and is hard to move around so I decided to make a wall-mounted camera boom arm! However, I was VERY close to abandoning the project but found the perfect solution to a critical flaw in the design.

That corner thingy is a next level hack while glueing. I’m gonna use it. Thanks for that. Great video!

Nice video! I like that you can control the camera settings through that larger screen- I’ve been struggling to find a way to do that on my canon T4i.

very nice. looks like this will really improve your workflow. if you were to build again, what would you do differently? One thing that I am curious about is the source of the jiggling that you are seeing. from wtching the video, I suspect it may be in the connection point between the arms, curious on your thoughts.

So if i would build it again i would make the arms slightly wider. Right now they are 5cm wide, about 2". Making it wider would make it more stable against the twisting motion that is created when the arm is at a 90° angle. I believe a width of about 3-4" (7.5-10cm) would be wide enough. Even the current 5cm is good enough but slightly wider would not hurt. I would obviously also do something about the middle wall, its no longer needed but it also does not make things worse so i let it be. I have not had so much time to test it all yet but that is what i know so far. Yes the workflow will improve drastically, the amount of time i spend moving the tripod is almost the same amount of time i take to build the things i do :) Thanks for taking your time to watch the video ♥

@@DesireToInspire1 Ah thank you. I absolutely agree the wider build would help reduce the twisting. looks awesome, keep it up!
