It's hypocrisy that the world hates Paradis for what it did (and stopped) in the past but is at large ok with Marley doing the exact same thing, using titan powers to conquer the world. What a lot of fans seem to forget is that Marley not only attacked Paradis, but multiple countries in the world. We see this with the Mid-East Alliance. They sent the Warriors to get the Founder bc they wanted to dominate the world, not bc they needed it for survival. I don't get how Yams expected fans to sympathize with the world when he made the globe deeply racist and genocidal towards Eldians, especially those from Paradis. The only decent non-Eldians in the story were Niccolo and Onyakapon, both of whom had pretty minor roles in the series. As brutal as it was, the Rumbling was a divine consequence of the world's violence and grudge towards Paradis. The Marleyans even admitted that they brought it all on themselves in the end, it only took them an apocalypse to realize they were in the wrong 💀

Amazing video, the tatters of this story really start being obvious once it's summarized so nicely like this. It helps that your humor is very good as well.

Tbf, AoT is fantasy so a lot of things don't have to make sense logically. But you're right, even before s4, there were def flaws or things that could've been done better. The worst AoT plot point pre s4 for me was the wasted potential of freckles Ymir. It didn't make sense for her to run away with Bertolt and Reiner when she *knew* from her childhood how terrible Marley was. I get she felt bad for the Warriors, but it was a dumb thing to do (she even called herself an idiot after she ran away) bc she practically gave Marley a WMD being the Jaw titan. It wasted her arc of "living life for myself" and reduced her to a plot device for Historia's development. I have no problem with her being a lesbian, but I disliked how Yams wrote her to do everything for her sake (she joined the Scouts bc of her, it's hinted that she slacked in training to make "Krista" top 10). I guess Yams had to get rid of her since she had intel on what the outside world was like
Let's not forget that the the protagonist preferred to save the traitors and the ones hat turned their fellow eldians into titans and preferred to kill the inocentes ones

Story ended the way it was supposed to and was always intended too. The way Isayama wrote it, literally could not have had a different ending. Bros writing was so tight and clean, couldn’t have gone in any other direction.

I think he mentioned that after Part 2 he's gonna start animating for another anime series to move on from AoT. For a series that just ended November last year, the fandom's dying fast, the two AoT reddit subs aren't even on the top 25 animanga subs anymore. I'm frankly glad it is bc from what I've seen the fandom's mostly unbearable and divided. Oh, and the Floch hate doesn't help either. Granted, it's Reddit, and most ppl are nasty keyboard warriors there. I started reading Berserk and watching Vinland Saga after AoT, and I feel these two series communicate the cruelties of war and oppression better than AoT. It's been a great way to recover from that terrible last arc

i love your videos because they make me realize the stupid amount of plot holes and bad writing moments of the anime, i was all like "ok season 4 was dog shit but the rest was PERFECT", and now i see how it wasnt as perfect as i thought...
Tbf, AoT is fantasy so a lot of things don't have to make sense logically. But you're right, even before s4, there were def flaws or things that could've been done better. The worst AoT plot point pre s4 for me was the wasted potential of freckles Ymir. It didn't make sense for her to run away with Bertolt and Reiner when she *knew* from her childhood how terrible Marley was. I get she felt bad for the Warriors, but it was a dumb thing to do (she even called herself an idiot after she ran away) bc she practically gave Marley a WMD being the Jaw titan. It wasted her arc of "living life for myself" and reduced her to a plot device for Historia's development. I have no problem with her being a lesbian, but I disliked how Yams wrote her to do everything for her sake (she joined the Scouts bc of her, it's hinted that she slacked in training to make "Krista" top 10). I guess Yams had to get rid of her since she had intel on what the outside world was like

He literally took Carla's freedom she also might have many wishes like to have better life with her family and stuff but he killed her so that the bertholt don't get eaten (the same guy who put armin on death door). This makes eren a plot device which is what plot demands he does this and abt grisha he already saw the horrible future abt what eren gonna do but he still gives eren the attack titan power means even after all the things he still choose to give eren power means he didn't oppose the idea of erens rumbling even if its harsh he still choose to give eren power. Story ended the way it was supposed to and was always intended too. The way Isayama wrote it, literally could not have had a different ending. Bros writing was so tight and clean, couldn’t have gone in any other direction.

I think he mentioned that after Part 2 he's gonna start animating for another anime series to move on from AoT. For a series that just ended November last year, the fandom's dying fast, the two AoT reddit subs aren't even on the top 25 animanga subs anymore. I'm frankly glad it is bc from what I've seen the fandom's mostly unbearable and divided. Oh, and the Floch hate doesn't help either. I started reading Berserk and watching Vinland Saga after AoT, and I feel these two series communicate the cruelties of war and oppression better than AoT. It's been a great way to recover from that terrible last arc

Gabi and Falco’s romance didn’t feel touching to me at all, and Yumihisu got ruined for me when Ymir ran away with Reiner and Bert. Ymir knew Marley was terrible but still gave them a WMD being the Jaw titan

And your assessment of Ymir is totally fair. I actually really loved her personality and backstory, but you're right. The more I think about it, any potential she might have had was cut short for flimsy plot reasons, and reduced to a mere footnote in Historia's self-discovery journey... which doesn't really mean much, cuz all the development that Historia had was thrown straight out the window post-timeskip anyway lol

And that would have made those from Eldia redeem themselves for all the things they had done before without having to go to an island, put up three walls and, incidentally, erase everyone's memory.
Instead of doing that, he only had to give up the colonial and expansionist expectations and objectives of his kingdom and admit those of Marley as equals to the kingdom, give them food, support, love, and in the process use the power of the giants to make the inhabitants of Marley happier.
That shows how stupid the entire story of Shingeki no Kyojin is. The story of Shingeki no Kyojin is stupid from start to finish because it is basically the story of how a king could not or rather never wanted to make peace and help the kingdom that they had colonized in the best way by giving them food, support, love, using the same power that they always had, the power of the giants.
Shingeki no Kyojin is stupid because they only had to use the power of the giants to treat the Marleys better and make them on equal terms with Eldia and that's it, swear to never use the giants as weapons of war and only use them for the benefit of others, such as bringing food, transferring food, helping to build houses and that's it, that was all.

He wanted to have his ending be like "The Mist" where almost everyone dies by the end but backpedaled on it. In the last arc he wanted to kill of Levi but his editor told him not to.
