I've been back to breeding leopard geckos since 2020 (after a couple years of not doing it), and I have to get the guts inside of two, and the first one this season had the amazing idea of breaking his right leg while shedding 3 days old, most breeders just don't have the time to get a couple (frustrating) hours a day to superfeed them and all, I've never lost fingers or tails, but let me tell you, no one else I know it's spending a couple hours each day on a single baby. All the ones who came up bad, became healthy perfect adults. "Pet only" reptiles shouldn't even exist if you're careful and meticulous about it. Avoid inbreeding, avoid problematic morphs, dedicated time regardless of if it's an expensive morph or not. It's that easy.

Both beautiful creatures 😍😍😍 My Splodge ( crested gecko ) has toes missing because when he was with the breeder he had bad sheds . He loves his net ! With a hide right next to it a foam leaf as he likes smooth surfaces and has bridges made of crocheted paracord . I attached them to the glass with really strong stick plastic shower hooks that when you take em off they don’t leave any sticky residue if you can get em off lol . Honestly he does try and climb the glass though I put artificial leaves so that helps him 😁 I don’t know about the old name of crested geckos I think your right . But gargoyle geckos are Rhacodactylus auriculatus xx
Rune is the cutest name ever! I love the R theme! All my cresties have a bird name. I currently have a Ducky, Goose, and Chicken Nugget.

Me and my Giant leo pair are finally at the end of breeding season 😅still have two eggs cookin. Get this my very 1st hatchling ever is only 6wks, she’s already 7 inches/35grams. 🎉

What kind of overhead lighting do you get for the Garter Snake?
For heat or UVB? Heat I use a DHP or a halogen, UVB I go with the Arcadia t5ho 6% bulb but it’s gonna depend on your enclosure
Hi. I’m thinking to get my first Leopard Gecko recently, but I’m not sure about the terrarium. do you think terratium 30x12x12 could be enough for one Leopard Gecko or should I go for 30x18x18?

Always exciting to add new pets. I have 2 female checkered garters and they are so much fun to watch. They are very day active, curious, and great eaters. You’ll definitely enjoy watching them.
I had a garter that was 4 feet ate great :) This was years ago as a teen I'd catch wild ones and fatten them up then release :) he lived in my shirt pocket lol

Bless the little lady ❤ I bet with her tail intact and a few toes, she’ll be deceptively adept at climbing still I feel 😊 hope she settles well. And the garter is adorable! Definitely want to work with a social snake one day, either garters or a group of ringneck snakes in my future ❤
