“Sometimes sea captains drift apart, I know it’s tough” Explaining to the kids that Dad and Cooler Dad are getting a divorce and there won’t be 2 Christmasses
Why does the main guy have a New Zealand accent? There were no Pirates from New Zealand. Let me guess, the makers were all Yanks? I've never heard of any Irish Pirates either, but Hollywood Pirate movies always have them. Meanwhile actors who have one of what must surely be over a hundred different accents that originate from England miss out on parts, because Yanks aren't familiar with them. The South West of England is where most real Pirates came from.
The creators are well aware of that. They weren't going for historical accuracy. It's a romantic comedy loosely based on reality. No need to overthink it.
You've never heard of any Irish pirates? May I respectfully suggest that your knowledge of piracy could stand to be enlarged? Grace O'Malley, the "Pirate Queen", was as Irish as her name suggests and was one of the most successful pirates in history. Ireland has been an absolute hotbed of piracy going back at least as far as 400 AD. St. Patrick himself was once abducted by Irish pirates.
really good video greta
thank you chloe it was a labor of love

COOLER DAD
The cooler dad is obviously Stede
My favorite part is when Stede says "look tortured" and the hostage gives a cute little smile. Sir, you had one job.
"unsits"... that is, in fact, the correct verb for what he does just then. thanks for that
"Treasure is the real treasure!" always slays me 😂
stede is so over the touchy-feely bullcrap just then xD
I adore how petty he is to Izzy
He's so nice and polite to everyone. Except for Izzy
"he doesn't kiss, no one likes him" 3:41 I SWEARRRRRR
i don’t even go here but stede has my whole heart already
keep doing whatever it is you’re doing, you funky lil gay pirate man :)
the music stopping when he was thinking made me cackle
Everytime I hear insane foliage it adds a year to my life :'D
"*izzy" in red is my favorite
I think every line Izzy says is in red. His default setting is *enraged repressed sexiness*
Aaaaah I love this video and how you added the lines on screen as well and when the music stopped after Stede said "I have a plan" thank youuu
MAN FOR SALE!!!! MAN FOR SALE!!
been having a rough day but stede never fails to make me laugh, thanks for this
Honestly these are all being adhered to my vocabulary
The drop in background music when he says they need a plan is 👨🍳💋 amazing job.
Fuck me the writing on this show is so good
Without a single tureen on board!!!! My new favourite insult
God I really love that fancy man ❤️❤️❤️
I AM ADEQUATE
me trying to talk myself up
This has become my new life motto. It is quite freeing!
I love this absolute weirdo 😀
This is so well edited :0
THANK U SM

Babe the show is literally about Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard falling In love. Historical accuracy isn't the intention
I'm so glad someone already talked about Grace O'Malley bc I was about to.
Because he's from New zealand and is just doing his natural accent?
