The gv80 is so well executed that it commands the price tag
I don’t believe they’ve ever discounted these cars. All vehicles are just more expensive these days.
Don't people know about Genesis?
It is your responsibilty. Are you not an influencer?
Hey, Genesis. Do not waste your money for this guys.
They have no impact for your brand.
That’s odd …just finished financing one in Jonesboro AR. Alex clearly informed me and many others .
Is it reliable?
Genesis reliability has been excellent and their long warranty really helps
@@naveenthemachine Genesis came in 18th place for reliability as a brand with a CR rating of 44, barely beating Audi with 43.
Lexus was #1 with a 79. Toyota was #2 at 76.
Why would you pay this much for a Korean car? No way
Is he aware that there is a gv80 coupe gt coming?
Why calling it a coupe?
Sloped back. Reduced headroom/storage space.
Maybe it’s not coming across well on camera but I don’t like that carbon fiber trip that everywhere, like at all. Looks cheap imo
why call a four door a coupe? just to be cute!
💰
the carbon fiber trim design is hideous...
So for those LED headlights, if one goes out then the whole side needs replacement? Yikes
Looks great
Thank you for telling me how often you have to worry about bring alone.
I don’t feel like they have proved themselves enough to charge that. It’s nice to have all those options but if it’s sitting in the driveway or the dealer with mess up’s it doesn’t matter really
Prove themselves? You ever hear of J D Powers? How about 4 consecutive years in a row with innovative and technology safety awards!! Smh
So much to love about this, but that tacked on display looks terrible.
rotary gear selector is a no go for me I had a 2022 gv80. X5 is not available with air all around
"Coupe" SUVs are moronically stupid. It's an SUV with less utility for more money. No thank you very much.
Calling a 4 door SUV a Coupe is dumb!
Genesis > Germans
4 door Coupé?
Hi Alex, how high are the floors from the seats on this car compared to the Ioniq 5? Will long legged folks find themselves “crouching” more in this car vs the Ioniq 5?
Kia reliability, Kia depreciation, and Kia service for more than a BMW. I’m not surprised I haven’t seen a Genesis on the road in many months.
Kia reliability has been good so far beating Honda
Besides you’re not going to buy a car because it depreciates little or because it breaks all the time. Kia’s aren’t land rovers you know
Besides if what you said is true why is the telluride outselling the pilot? Exactly. Because your comment is objectively wrong
Sooooo dumb!! What does Kia have to do with this Genesis?
@@naveenthemachine Kia beating Honda? LOL, in your dreams.
Kia didn't do badly on the CR brand ratings, but it's in 10th place with a score of 56. Honda is #5 at 70.
Genesis as a brand is #18 with a cumulative score of 44.
@@SirOsisofLiverthe people who buy BMW will not check cr as it is destiny for Toyota and Honda drivers )))
So ignorant. That’s fine, more for the rest of us
The BMW is uglier, less reliable, and comes with vinyl seats... Genesis all the way FTW, it's simply a better car.
Brown Deborah Young Patricia Rodriguez Gary
Parts for a Genesis are scarce as hen's teeth. Dealers do not even stock GV70 rear window glass. Wait for it to be manufactured in Korea and sent overseas. No after market.
Why making a video with this beautiful looking car inside and outside but the upholstery in this very boring gray/black color.
Genesis offer very beautiful upholstery colors but this one is very boring. It down grade the car..!!
😂😂😂 what are you viewing this video on? Kin 1 or Kin 2 ? The exterior color is BERING BLUE …it’s gorgeous …..the interior is ultramarine blue with orange stitching. Again gorgeous!.
@@AJ-yf4ks there's no accounting for taste..!!!
When the upholstery is in cream/white or in brown is so much more beautiful.

"Suspension airbags can cost $1500 a pop to replace". Pardon the pun. 🙂
That's one (or four) of the reasons why a lot of these will end up being leased. Pop, pop, pop & POP! It's a wear item that eventually need service/replacement.
Alex, I'd like to see you poll your viewers and ask if they have any interest in having fake engine noise in their vehicle. Hope it is a fad that will soon be ending.
Not as competition to Lexus is nasty work. Get real with yourself.
He’s right. You’re wrong. Genesis is what Lexus should be. But Lexus is the next Infiniti. Lexus doesn’t really exist anymore. The competition has moved on and forgotten its existence for good reason
Eventually you’ll lose your job as a Lexus marketing sheep and be forced to go elsewhere😂. So you shouldn’t be here saying they’re junk when almost nobody including Alex agrees with you
@@naveenthemachine
Total Lexus sales were over 320k for 2023, up 24% from 2022.
Genesis was up a similar 23%, from 56k to 69k (nice) last year, about the same as Infiniti's 65k. Even moribund Lincoln managed 81k.
Lexus isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
@@SirOsisofLiver Lexus outsells both of them? Sure. But McDonalds also sells more burgers than five guys. But does that make McDonald’s objectively superior to five guys? No it doesn’t
Same logic here: Lexus may outsells those brands but that doesn’t mean Lexus is more fun to drive or more luxurious or more comfortable or faster or more powerful or more advanced or more sophisticated than those brands.
@@naveenthemachine
Lexus sells 4.6 times as many cars as Genesis, and at a higher average transaction price, has better depreciation curves, and still has an extremely good reliability rating from CR.
To be accurate, it would be like Five Guys outselling McDonalds in your analogy.
Not impressed. "Large" panoramic roof? Feeble sunshade for that sunroof. "Blank" central section of the dashboard screen? For $80k. No thanks.
"coupe"
What does that word even mean anymore?
$87K? Get real Hyundai.
It’s worth it though. You can spend this much and get a significantly worse vehicle
They are
This comment is like you're looking at an Audi, but then you say get real Volkswagen 🤣🤣
GENESIS=LUXERY BRAND. Hyundai= NOT A GENESIS
Imagine calling a Lamborghini, Porsche or Bugatti a Volkswagen and Blaming them for not price like a Jetta.
Nope, it’s still just a Lexus competitor
$80k for a Hyundai is a hard sell for me.
The exterior styling will not age well, the front already looks dated.
Nah. This will age extremely well. Besides there are uglier vehicles that are dated in just about every aspect
I like most everything about the car except the big grill. Although the Lexus might have an even bigger grill.
28:40. I tried to tell you Alex the new Lexus models would be very disappointing. But you didn’t even give me credit for being right 😂. All you did was laugh. I called it that this would happen and indeed it did. Now where’s your acknowledgement that your favorite Toyota was right😂
The rest of you failed miserably to prove your favorite Toyota hater wrong. But you can’t fathom your ego being at risk so you preserve it by attacking me
But your remarks are proof that the time to Lexus’ demise is accelerating. They’re gonna be gone very soon
bruh GENESIS has yet to prove anything!
@@KuyaArbee what do they need to prove? They’ve proven they can build a proper Lexus. They can build a world class luxury car. This isn’t 1990. This is 2024. Things change. It’s called progress.
No one buys a luxury car for reliability or efficiency. If you want the luxury of reliability and mpg just get a Prius
So if anything your comment got disproven very quickly.
Nice try pal. Got anymore failed arguments 😂
@@naveenthemachine what world class car? Lmao 🤣 bruh 😎 nobody going to buy a Genesis if it’s the price of a bmw and Mercedes. No one truly cross shops a genesis… also their dealer network sucks
@@KuyaArbee genesis is the Asian bmw. Sure bmw Mercedes are “better” still but remember that getting the same amount of features in the bmw or Mercedes to match the genesis will cost you significantly more
Also genesis can have the worst dealer experience in history and still produce better quality luxury cars
Lexus has the best quality luxury vehicle owner experience but Genesis has the best quality luxury vehicles period. And the car is more important than the brand
Lexus is officially overrated! Instead of luxury which it should be, the interior Leans more towards premium. It's officially the "monkey see monkey do brand" because they so Reliable 🙄. Yet Toyota is constantly proving that they have issues just like every other manufacturer. Hence the big engine recall going on for their new V6 powertrain.
